With the Cuisinart Griddler Express Contact Grill GR-2 you can grill all your favorites -- burgers, chicken, steak, you name it! -- winter or summer. This handy electric grill sits right on the kitchen counter and features extra-large top and bottom grill surfaces and a drip cup to catch excess fat. The floating hinge positions the height of the top plate to presicely accommodate the food's thickness so that both sides of the food are evenly grilled. The non-stick grill plates are easy to clean and require little or no oil. Pros: Griddler Express makes great grill marks on your Panini

Cons: Grill plates not removable, creating cleaning hassle

The Bottom Line: Panini are delicious, but for about $60 more you could buy the GR-4 model with removable plates. I would think twice about buying this again--cleaning it is a pain!

Review: I purchased the Cuisinart Griddler Express GR-2 at a Linens-n-Things last year when the Panini fad was in full swing. Paninis were selling like hotcakes everywhere, and the toasty, ridged sandwiches seemed like a tasty treat for my hungry diners ...
