Pros: Cheap, easy to operate, comes with earphones, ideal beginners SWL radio.

Cons: No external antenna outlet, cheap material.

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this radio for beginners, even for average SW listeners.

Coby CX-CB12 World Band radio

Pros: Inexpensive!Lots of SW frequency coverage;good audio;compact.

Cons: Poor image rejection on AM and FM(who cares,it's for shortwave);dial backlash.

The Bottom Line: Five stars overall for both performance and value for world band sets under fifty dollars (still can't believe it's only fifteen dollars at every electronics e-tailer I checked).

Review: Costs only fifteen dollars! Sony, Sangean and the rest want fifty or more for their versions, and they don't play any better. This little set is a well made, handsome radio, that does two things well (for its class); it receives lots of shortwave...
