The Canon iVIS HF11, replacing the HF10, has 32GB internal storage while the HG21, which is the successor of the HG10, comes with a 120GB hard drive. Both of them supports also SD and SDHC memory cards. They are powered by Canon’s DIGIC DV II video engine. HF11 and HG21 are capable in recording HD 1920×1080 videos in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 High Profile format. They get also a 2.7-inch LCD display.

The Bottom Line: This tiny and easy-to-use HD camcorder takes very nice pictures. Getting video out of the camera and into a finished project is somewhat more difficult.
