Product Description

 
The Canon PIXMA MP500 model is an advanced all-in-one performer with a 2.5" color LCD viewer. It can print up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi2 images with microscopic droplets as small as one picoliter using FINE print head technology. Along with using the ChromaLife100 system, the PIXMA MP500 model can print borderless 4"x6" photos with photolab quality in approximately 51 seconds3. It offers built-in two-sided printing and has a second paper tray cassette for convenient paper selection.

It's the cost of the ink, not the cost of the printer

The Bottom Line: You'll save money by spending more up front for a Canon that costs less per page. I recommend this for quality, noise, and price per page.
Review: As anyone who has ever owned an ink jet printer knows, the printers are cheap, and the ink is expensive. My last printer was an Epson CX-5200 which we paid $100 for. During the two years we used it, we spent about $30-50 a month for ink. I estimate...

The Bottom Line: The bottom line is if you are looking for a printer with good quality, speed, inexpensive to buy and own then the MP500 is perfect.
