The Bottom Line: Great for landscapes, dramatic perspectives. If you need it immediately, it's worth the high price. If not, wait for price drop.

A Superwide that gives DSLR users a true wide angle view

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this lens for the Canon shooter that uses a cropped frame DSLR. It will restore the true wide angle shot to your toolbox.

Excellent Lens

The Bottom Line: I recommend this lens to anyone who considers him/herself more than just an amateur. There are less pricey similar lenses available but this one is excellent.
Review: After switching from film to digital, I realized just how much the 1.6x crop factor of the new camera limited my wide-end abilities. I wanted that extra "wow" factor back, and this lens definitely delivers.

tough lens to learn, but results can be amazing

this was the latest addition to my camera bag and it's been the hardest to learn how to use effectively. however, i think it's a must for any serious photographer as it'll give you the ability to take photos that you could never take with your other lenses
