This 14.4K bps inkjet fax can send and receive both black and color faxes, and print them on plain paper. Fast color copying (up to 17cpm color/11cpm black) is an added benefit. Its 8MB memory stores up to 300 pages for out-of-paper reception, memory transmission and broadcasting. Dual Access capability lets you Quick Scan faxes into memory while the unit is busy sending or receiving. Its 4-cartridge ink system delivers high quality output without waste. Designed to meet changing needs, it includes a built-in USB interface for use as a 6000x1200 dpi inkjet printer if requirements change. Minimize

Pros: Understandable owner's manual. Easy set-up. Flip covers to keep cat's from stepping on button's.

Cons: The phone is too light, easy for the cat to knock off.

Pros: The B&W printing quality seemed fine.

Cons: Answering machine issue only discussed at the Brother website. Needs a dedicated phone line.

The Bottom Line: Get a dedicated FAX machine or maybe a more expensive multi-function machine.

Review: I needed a new FAX machine and I've had good luck with my Brother printer, so I thought I'd try a Brother FAX machine. The idea of having a color printer thrown in also influenced my purchase. Unfortunately this machine doesn't meet my FAXing needs. ...
