Bosch claims its weatherproof Power Box radio is durable enough for a construction site, so we threw it across Bosch's Booth at a recent tradeshow. Not only did it survive, the CD didn't even skip. This isn't the first job-site radio but its the first to really impress us. Why? A steel-and-rubber frame protects the ruggedized shell, which houses four ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected outlets for power tools. The outlets cut power if water leaks in, so you won't get fried. There's also a slot in the back to charge the batteries for your cordless power tools; when you find yourself away from an outlet the radio can run off those same batteries. The radio also includes a mini-plug input for your MP3 player and a 12V DC outlet to recharge your cell phone. Quick word to the wise: if you plan to replicate our drop and roll test, we suggest unplugging all those accessories first! Minimize

The best jobsite radio ever.

Pros: Plays mp3 discs, Dustproof, Stores discs in charging compartment, Very durable
Cons: poor radio reception
The Bottom Line: The Bosch jobsite radio is well worth the cost because it outlasts any other CD player in the toughest conditions.
Review: On my jobsite, the radio is the first tool to be plugged in in the morning, and the last to be packed up at the end of the day. It gets more use than anything else on site. The Bosch radio stands up to more abuse than any other radio on the market. ...

Pros:

Extremely convenient and diverse job-site tool.

Cons:

I didn't have one when I was working on my own.

The Bottom Line:

This is a fine tool for a job site. It offers AM/FMradio, CD and MPs. Also the convenience of battery charging power and four extra GFI outlets and more.
