Product Description

Personnel includes: Paul Simon (vocals, acoustic guitar); Art Garfunkel (vocals); Jimmy Haskell (arranger). Producers include: Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Roy Halee. Reissue producer: Bob Irwin. Recorded between September 7, 1966 and October 16, 1968. Originally released on Columbia Records (9529). Includes liner notes by Bud Scoppa. The second half is the closest Simon & Garfunkel ever...

An Old Friend

Date of Review:  Oct 23, 2000
Review: This album is one of Simon & Garfunkel's best, I would list as an I Love It album but I think I'm just going to wait and list the collection, Old Friends which has all their best works. It is a simply fantastic collection of songs, by some extremely...

The Bottom Line: This album is amazing and a must for any music collection.
Review: Dee da dah, dee da dah, dee da dah, dee da dum A lone guitar quietly plays. It calls our minds, hearts, and even our very souls compellingly to attention with its soft voice. It s a shade of the past, the quiet sighing of the passions that remain...

Pros
Everything. It's brilliance.
Cons
It's only thirty-four minutes long.

Unfortunately, largely forgotten(well, outside of one song)

Date of Review:  Nov 12, 2008
The Bottom Line: I recommend it because it is a forgotten American classic that needs to be introduced to a new generation of pop fans that don't get depth in their music today.
Review: I am ashamed to say as a confessed music junkie that before five years ago, I had no knowledge of Simon and Garfunkel's music outside of "Mrs. Robinson." I knew they were a folk group, and I had obviously heard of Paul Simon, but did not (and still...
