Pros: Cornwell's superlative battle descriptions, interesting historical plot.
Cons: Cornwell's conjunction-sodden writing style, several plot devices that fell flat
The Bottom Line: Well researched and breath-takingly realistic.
Review: Historical fiction, done well, is enormously fun to read for the notion that the major events in the story really happened lends such novels a dimension that perhaps cannot be had in other genres. Vagabond is the second book in a series ...
