The Taming of the Shrew: A Sexist Play

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2001
The Bottom Line: All in all though this was a good play, with a good moral. On a scale of one to ten I give it an Seven and a half.

Paperback, The Taming of the Shrew: With New Dramatic Criticism and an Upda...
The Taming of the Shrew is one of the most famous and controversial of Shakespeares comedies. The central relationship, in which Petruchio boisterously tames a rebellious Kate, has often appeared problematic. Kates apparent capitulation varies between the ironic and sincere.
