Good Fantasy Series Continues: The Pillars of Creation

The Bottom Line: I think a lot of negative press is directly related to false expectations based on the jacket copy. It is a good book overall.
Review: Evil thinks not to beguile us by unveiling the terrible truth of its festering intent, but comes, instead, disguised in the diaphanous robes of virtue, whispering sweet-sounding lies intended to seduce us into the dark bed of our eternal graves...

A new low for the series

The Bottom Line: Terry Goodkind flushed the remainder of my goodwill down the toilet with this one. This is one story that did not need to be told.
Review: I am quite thankful that I am nearing the end of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. Only two of the six novels so far have even marginally been worth my time. The seventh book in the series, The Pillars of Creation, is Goodkind's worst effort...

The Bottom Line: Despite main characters that are MIA for most of the story, ?The Pillars of Creation? is another strong addition to the consistently entertaining ?Sword of Truth? series.
Review: Imagine a Star Trek film where the crew of the Enterprise only shows up for about the last 15 minutes. Or a Star Wars film that only brings in a Skywalker for the climatic battle. It doesn t mean that it s going to be a bad film, you just feel sort...
