The Death of Superman Doomsday Finally Reaches The Man of Steel

Pros: Brought attention to Superman; great artwork
Cons: Feels a bit rushed; story is too simple
The Bottom Line: This is only the first chapter in the death and life of Superman. It's a good start but his whole death feels rushed into getting to the real story.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Where were you when Superman died?

I was at a comic book shop waiting in line to buy Superman #75 (vol. 2) back in 1993. So were a lot of other people, and I mean a lot. Word about the Man of Steel s demise caught like...

Pros: The story finally ended.
Cons: After taking far too long to achieve the goal in a stupid fashion.
The Bottom Line: Only worth reading if you just need to know everything there is to know about how they killed Superman.
This reviewer does not recommend this product.

The Death of Superman!!!

by  cdm72 ,  Feb 17, 2003
21 out of 21 people found this review helpful.
Pros: The final battle scenes.
Cons: Everyone knows he's not dead for good.
The Bottom Line: Everything came together, story, art, dialogue, colors, all to make an enjoyable whole from 7 separate books.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: If you want to talk about marketing, what DC Comics did in 1993 was, not only a bold move, but a brilliant one as well.

Everyone knows nobody REALLY dies in comic books, but at least when they do die, they stay dead for a while, at least...
