The Bottom Line: Don't bother with this. Read "Nobody's Fool" instead. Or, try "Mrs. Bridge" and "Mr. Bridge" by Evan S. Connell.
Review: While Richard Russo is an excellent writer, his books seem to be getting more and more self-indulgent. This novel, "Bridge of Sighs," is one example. Russo's best novel, in my opinion, is still Nobody's Fool," which is about everyday people (who are...
