This is the first reprint, complete with a new introduction by Professor John Slater. The book provides both an insight into Russell's earliest analytical and critical thought and an introduction to the philosophical and logical foundations of non-Euclidean geometry, a version of which is central to Einstein's theory of relativity. As such it is an invaluable resource, not only for students of philosophy, but also for those interested in understanding Russell's philosophical development. Foundations of Geometry consists of four chapters which explore the various concepts of geometry and their philosophical implications, including a historical overview of the development of geometrical theory.
