Lorne Greene stars in this television classic as Commander Adama, the leader of the Battlestar Galactica, the human colonies' flagship. About to sign a peace treaty with their long time enemies the Cylons, the colonies find themselves the victim of a sneak attack that destroys most of the colonies' ships. So, now the Galactica must lead the remnants of the colonial fleet to escape the Cylons and search for the legendary 13th colony. This set contains the entire first season of the series in a collector's box.

The Bottom Line: No, it's not Shakespeare or Melville, but Battlestar Galactica is not without its charms. Loaded down with a ton of extras, this package gets the serious thumbs up.
