Product Description

The Bluth family returns for another season of life after credit cards, in this revolutionary award-winning comedy. Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) is the voice of reason in the midst of a blue-blood clan of crazies who have become acclimated to the life of luxury due to the fortune earned by patriarch George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) in the tract-housing business. When George is arrested on charges of tax fraud, however, the family's assets are frozen, and the resulting life of relative poverty proves difficult in many unexpected ways. Matriarch Lucille (Jessica Walter) is an emotionally stunted alcoholic, who in season two hires a bounty hunter to find George Sr., who has run off to Mexico--maybe. The Bluth siblings include Lindsay (Portia de Rossi), a socialite whose multitude of causes serves to further her own social career; Gob (Will Arnett), a womanizing illusionist; and Buster, a mama's boy who spends his time pursuing a nebulous career as a grad student. Lindsay is married to Tobias (David Cross), an o...

Arrested Development's 2nd Season - Why I think the show failed

Date of Review:  Mar 11, 2007
The Bottom Line: If you watched the first season, then you need to see this one.
Review: Arrested Development: Season Two continues the misadventures of a highly dysfunctional family called the Bluths. This hilarious and quirky series, which was nominated for and won a slew of awards, was already doomed by its second season because the...

More From The Family On The Fall

Date of Review:  Jan 16, 2007
The Bottom Line: On DVD, "Arrested Development" shines as one of the best ensemble comedies of our time with a dysfunctional family of self-absorbed individuals and one son who binds them.
Review: Perhaps the best moment in the DVD presentation of "Arrested Development Season Two" comes on the blooper reel. At the end of the reel, actor David Cross, who plays Tobias, artfully tells the camera and the audience a list of the awards the show had...
