The Bottom Line: Anything for Billy presents a Billy Bone that I had not known. A simple read that doesn't require a lot of concentration - a good "pick-it-up" and "put-it-down" book.

Review: Anything For Billy is one of the finest books I've ever read, portraying the "real" American west.

Full of characters, both real and from McMurtry's prodigious imagination, this makes John Wayne look like the posturing poseur he was.
