Product Description

 
The DataSMART T3 ADSU (ATM DSU) interfaces internetworking equipment (router, channel extender, etc.) to an ATM switching network. The ADSU can interface to Frame Relay, ATM DXI, or SMDS DXI (SMDS mode) data interfaces over HSSI, and in ATM mode supports standard AAL3/4 connectionless and AAL5 connection-oriented adaptation layers. The T3 network interface can be set to ATM UNI, SMDS SNI, or clear channel operation. Therefore the ADSU can be used in the clear channel or SMDS networks of today as well as the ATM networks of tomorrow.??Designed for bandwidth-intensive data applications, the ADSU "pipe-lined" cell processing provides a highly efficient, low latency interface enabling you to get the most from your ATM/SMDS investment.
