Initial defect, but all's well that ends well

The Bottom Line: Assuming the touchpad/keyboard defect we experienced initially was unusual, I would recommend this as a lightweight, functional, attractive netbook.
Review:
After considerable research, we purchased the Eee PC 1005HA in blue. Upon receiving, we followed the initial setup instructions and all seemed to go well.

My review of the Asus Eee PC Netbook.
4/5 stars
I think this is a great netbook for the price of 300 dollars. Although when trying to run other OS's it lacks support. When running Linux on this machine, it lacks the wireless driver for the Atheros Wireless N card. You must compile the driver with the terminal after downloading some patches. Same goes with trying to run Mac OS X on this machine. There are ways to do it, but not for the average person right out of the box Pros: Compact, Portability, Speed Cons: Making it thinner, Better GPU, Better Support for other OS's
