The APC® Panelmount Surge Protection Device is a transient voltage surge suppressor (TVSS) device, ideal for use in datacenters, industrial facilities and commercial buildings. It can be installed at the service entrance or at electrical panels throughout the facility to protect electrical equipment from damaging power surges and spikes. The device also delivers reliable protection against severe voltage spikes caused by lighting and utility accidents; and the small, but frequent surges caused by the normal everyday operation of motors, pumps and other large equipment. It boasts LED indicators that, along with audible alarms, provide immediate failure notification when suppression circuitry has been damaged by a heavy strike or surge. With a peak current rating of 120 kAmps, the Panelmount device attenuates EMI/RFI line noise that can cause data loss and keyboard errors, ensuring consistent and optimal performance of protected equipment.
