Athlon XP 2600+ Fast, but sometimes Less is More

Pros: Cheap, Fairly quick, easy to install and work with.
Cons: Not a Barton chip- For FSB and generally better overclocking performance, the 2500+ wins
The Bottom Line: While the 2600 certainly has a higher clock speed, Front Side Bus and RAM speed are far more important to thie bigger picture. Read the review

Review: Obviously the Athlon XP series chips by AMD have established quite a legacy. The XP "Barton" series chips were the last and final chapter of what was an excellent processor platform- surely, to say AMD went out on a good note with the 32-BIT chips...
