The Bottom Line: Do not attempt to use this for a general purpose paper cutter.

Use it only for gift wrapping or cutting of sturdy, stiffer papers and films.

 My normal habit is to read the daily paper while comfortably seated in my overstuffed recliner.  There is a side table with shelves underneath for storage of small items - pens, reading glasses, TV remote, small scissors, etc. ...
