This module delivers twenty-four ports of high-performance Gigabit Ethernet switching with support for Small Form-Factor Plug-in (SFP) transceivers for both fiber and copper connections.Switch 8800 modules support on-board or local Layers 2/3/4 switching, allowing packets to remain local to the module, which reduces backplane and switch fabric loading.
