Classic Bomberman action comes to DS, now with quick and easy touch-screen control using the stylus. The game starts with the player vigorously rubbing the screen as they compete for power-ups. In the battle round, the player maneuver around a maze while competing in frantic Bomberman competition, trying to bomb others while avoiding incoming attacks. If a ghost appears in the upper screen and haunts the player, the player cannot move until the ghost has been scratched off using the touch screen. Minimize

Pros: Fun Multi-Player off of Just One Copy of the Game

Cons: Unfun Single Player Mode, Lame Use of DS' Features

Bomberman DS: Multiplayers a blast - single player merely fizzles

Pros: The best multiplayer version of Bomberman in years, so customisable

Cons: single player less impressive, multiplayer requires more DS units , online sequel soon?

The Bottom Line: A great multiplayer title, with limited single player options. If you have DS owning frinds then this title is much better than if you intend to play alone.

Review: I picked this up on a nostalgic impulse mostly for the multiplayer action and was not disappointed. As the DS is capable of massive multiplayer matchups (2 screens = twice as many bombers!) this is pretty much spot on if you can find other DS owners ...
