Thebabydaily.com Initial Review: The Britax Frontier is a unique car seat due to it holding a child in a 5-point harness up to 80 pounds and switching to a full back booster up to 100 pounds. At Ellabella Kids we really encourage the use of a 5-point harness restraint as long as the restraint allows. This seat provides optimal comfort and safety. The only issue we find is that a parent can not go directly from an infant seat to this seat due to the weight and age restriction. A child must be 2 years old before they can ride in the Frontier. It works great for a child who has outgrown their convertible car seat and needs the next step, but is not ready for a belt positioning booster seat.
