I got screwed by ZZF on two of the three rebates I submitted to them in May of 2010. The only way I got them to respond to me and pay out the one rebate they said was properly submitted (all should know I properly submitted all three rebates) was to file a complaint with my State Attorney General's office of consumer protection. After they agreed to pay I still had to contact my state's consumer office to get ZZF to cut the check. They will not respond to emails; you get a recording when you call customer service and they won't return your call after you leave a message. Shop Newegg and Amazon - they treat you right.

Zip Zoom Fly has a funny name, but great items and great prices. Almost always ( or in my use, ALWAYS zero cost in shipping ) cheapest shipping, great stock rate.
they are one of the easiest to use, navigate,and find what you want. customer service is A+, and should you need to return, they are cordial and very helpful. i have shopped here for several years now, with NO complaints.. |

ZipZoomFly by night. They have terrible customer support. The average time it took them to respond to email was about two weeks and their phone number leads to an endless hold box. They did not honor my mail-in rebates because I used my shipping address instead of my billing address. It took them nine months to notify me of this (I wish I were exaggerating). I am a rebate machine, this has never happened to me before. Over all, more stress and headache than it was worth. Blah. Newegg is better.

On 04/16/2010, I ordered a Western Digital WD1002FAEX 1TB SATA 7200 RPM 64MB Buffer Hard Drive from ZipZoomfly.com. I complied with all terms to receive a $15 rebate, and was even informed via email that my rebate was being processed. After the period expired in which I should have received the rebate, I checked the website for my rebate status, and it was still being processed. I called the telephone number several times over the next months regarding my rebate status after I still had not received my rebate, and they told me it was still being processed. Finally, in September, when I called the number again, I was informed that zipzoomfly.rebateaccess.com was no longer handling the rebate and that I would have to contact ZipZoomfly directly for the rebate. I have sent their Customer Service (an oxymoron if I ever heard one) several emails regarding this matter without even an acknowledgement.
If you ever do purchase anything from this company expecting a rebate, which I will never do again, chances are very good that you will never see the rebate. |

I place all of my computer related orders with ZipZoomFly.com for three simple reasons; 1) Price. Their prices are less than their competitors 95% of the time, in the other cases they are so competitive that I still go with zipzoomfly because of the other two reasons. 2) Reliability. I always get exactly what I order in a timely manner with professional packaging. 3) Ease of use. The site is absolutely idiot-proof while explaining everything I would want to know about my order from product description to email follow-ups about my order status.

I purchased a WD 500GB hard drive in May of this year which included a $10 rebate. There have been numerous delays on this rebate and now they do not bother to answer my emails at all. Calling will get you a voice response so you can leave a call back number, but they will not call you. They did indicate that they would honor the rebate, but it now appears that this will never take place.I do not recommend this company if you purchase an item that includes a rebate since you will probably never get it. I have found may other shoppers have had the same problem with this company.

Merchandise as expected good delivery. Customer service is non existent. THEY DO NOT HONOR REBATES. It's been 7 months and no rebate, no phone call return. Notified BBB but still no response. Check out other sites for reviews of this company. As of the last 3-4 months you will find there are many REBATE complaints. I'm not the only one. Mostly the rebates are what make their store prices so cheap. I bought 2 items that had zip zoom fly store rebates. I submitted them and got conformations. I even called the rebate center and they said zip zoom fly is not sending them any money to pay the rebates. I called zip zoom fly and they don't answer their customer service phone. I realize at this point it is of no use to try. Without the rebates I could have gotten their normal price products elsewhere. Don't say I didn't warn you.

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!! I ordered a Hitachi 2TB HDD that was DOA. According to ZipZoomfly's return instructions I shipped it back to them with insurance at a cost of $10.75. By the time I got a replacement I missed the rebate and was out shipping costs which I had to eat. My good deal was suddenly a bad deal. Good for them! They cheated a loyal customer out of a few bucks. I will no longer do business them - No problem, they have enough customers already, they can afford to lose a few. Too bad for them that they are not the only ones selling computer gear on the internet! I have also done business with Newegg, which has decent customer service and PCH Cables which has outstanding customer service and even better prices!

It has taken an entire day to cancel an order and I am still not sure if it is canceled. I have been trying to cancel the order since immediately after purchase to no avail. Make sure you don't make any mistakes while ordering or better yet avoid this company all together, because canceling an order is a pain in the butt. The customer service rep that I finally talked to after 6 hours of calling them just told me it was my fault and that she would TRY to cancel it but it wasn't guaranteed. I don't need these kind of headaches.

Very UNFRIENDLY customer service policy! Everyone considering buying from ZipZoomFly BE FOREWARNED!!! They charge customers a 15% restocking fee on defective merchandise when you return it! I ordered a power supply and when it arrived, it was dead on arrival. I requested a refund, and was told I had 10 days to ship it back and the return required insurance...OK, $24 later and several weeks - I get a refund...LESS 15% restocking fee! How can you restock defective merchandise? I sent their customer service a friendly email and heard NOTHING back. When I called, I was simply told flat out there was nothing they were going to do about it. I've done business with them since they were GoogleGear but they just lost a regular customer. If you think about it - they might as well sell nothing but defective merchandise; their lousy 15% "restocking" fee is probably more profit than on working stuff!

I am very disappointed with this merchant. In the past I have bought from them and have been quite satisfied. However, about six months ago I bought a hard drive which had a rebate offer. They didn't tell me until after I purchased that the rebate would be in the form of a VISA debit card through Citibank. Why not a check? How in the world is one supposed to use a prepaid debit card for $15? It took almost six months for the card to be delivered. As most people don't, but I do, I read the fine print on the back. It said that if I didn't add to the card and continue to use it, after six months I would be charged a service fee of $3/month. I called the card service and cancelled the card, forfeiting my $15 in the process.
This is deceptive merchandising of the worst kind. I will never buy anything from this outfit again. |

ZIPZOOMFLY (ZZF) is definitively not correct. Its rebate system is a rip off with the only goal to attract customers. I ordered an ASUS Eeepc 1000 HE because of an attractive rebate of 30$. I never received this rebate because ZZF ruled that my claim was not allowable on the pretext that the barcode I provided was not the right one. But it was the only one available on the product I received. ZZF asked me to provide a specific barcode but this barcode was not available on the box or the netbook. I complained about that during a long time via Internet and finally by mail to the customer service. I never received an answer. Run away this online store, it’s a thief.

The order was purchased with 2nd day delivery. The order was sent FedEx Ground and was not received for 12 days. When customer service was called I was promised a call back that I never received. When I called a second time the customer service representative was argumentative. Customer Service…what customer service. There are a lot of discounters on the web and the only other thing to discriminate is how people are treated. This company used to be amazing to deal with. I have ordered a lot of gear from them. This year however they have gone down hill. Most recently the shipped my memory without requiring a signature. Package claimed delivered by fed ex (left at door, in their notes without sig) and it is somehow my fault, and they won't have a resolution for 4-6 weeks, at which time they will reship or refund.
Previous order they shipped me the wrong video card because their website said one thing but invoiced another (we're talking one character difference on model number) and wanted to charge me a restocking fee. They give fast shipments, and have good prices, but if you have to deal with customer service you are screwed. I'm shopping NewEgg from now on. |

I saw several negative reviews about this store, (like too many), but I ordered from this store anyway, determining that with SO many 1 star ratings, all appearing from the same person, someone really had it in for this company. I ordered an external hard drive. They had the best price, it came new in a sealed box in two days, and absolutely not problem. I think someone really tried to screw these folks over at this store, or 150 or so people just had a horrible experience which I doubt......I'll support them simply as my view is, they were treated unfairly.

I called them and they said the cpu was not in stock. Thanks for letting me know. I spoke to 3 representatives and finally a supervisor. None could cancel the order. Took them forever to do that!

Extremely disorganized company. Tried to order bulk of a new build. Took two days to verify credit card. Took an extra day to confirm order. After three days, received notification that order was incomplete. Called for info-ZZf said that it might not have been incomplete, it might have actually shipped. I told them "might have" and "maybe complete" don't work for me. Told them to cancel order and recall whatever shipped. They said they would, but they didn't. Had to call FedEx myself. Ended up with $26 (half of shipping) for my trouble. I asked if $26 was worth me and everyone I could convince to never order from them. ZipZoomfly said that was their decision.
Horrible, horrible experience. Lazy management. Not worth the cheap prices. FYI: Both Newegg and ClubIT managed to deliver orders placed at the same time as the one at ZZf before ZZf could even confirm their own inventory. |

I ordered a processor from ZZF which was in stock on Feb. 19. Yesterday I checked the status of my order and it listed "Packed" as the status. Today, nine days later, I receive an email from them that states the product is out of stock and will no longer be carried by the company. How can they pack an item which isn't in stock?!? I can understand a day or two to find out an item is out of stock, but nine days? and after a status of 'Packed'?
This was not my first order with ZZF. I have had good luck with them in the past, so this behavior was reprehensible. As the product was unfortunately permanently out of stock, ZZF has unfortunately permanently lost a customer. One more thing. I hadn't realized until just now that ZZF charged my card the day I ordered my item. Now I have a hefty charge for an item I'll never receive. Boo-hiss!! Two thumbs down! |

One of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. I ordered a E8400 which was supposedly in stock at the time of my order...it wasnt. After 9 emails to their customer service with no response, an email to the BBB, and paypal resolution center I finally received my refund 2 weeks later. During those 2 weeks they continued to sell the E8400 which they didnt have in stock. I also received an email today from their so called customer service and they said that item was high in demand and that they never received any of my emails...well why was it listed as in stock on your website and ready to ship in 24 hours??? AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

Ordered some items Tues night with overnight shipping. Processing finished Wed morning and went into "packed" status. Thursday I sent an email wondering why it didn't ship Wed, was told that my order had been accepted.....duh, I thought that was what processing meant. Anyways Friday comes around and still in "packed" status. I call and they now tell me cpu was out of stock and they didn't notify me because they knew it was coming on Friday......wow. To add to this, lady tells me my order still might not ship Friday.
Now I am stuck with overnight shipping that was ordered on a Tuesday night that quite possibly wont get to me till the next Tuesday....bravo zzf. And they wont let me cancel. Meanwhile, I ordered A mid tower case from Newegg Thursday, a case that is sitting in my living room right now, on a Friday. |
