Beware of CompactAppliance.com and their relatioship with Franklin products. In my case I bought a Franklin outdoor refrigerator that was defective from the day it was installed. Franklin refuses to provide warranty service and Compact Appliance plays the I can't hlp you retailer" who just suggests they call Franklin again. They are apparently closely tied to Franklin as it is the only outdoor refrigerator in their web site with any reviews and all of those are glowing. The outsourced review company call PowerReviews reuses to post an adverse review on this refrigerator. Stay away from bothe Franklin and CompactApliance.com

Ordered product online. Received a call a day or two after, confirming order, as billing and shipping addresses were different. I like that the company will call to confirm. Was told that items would be shipped the following Tuesday. Checked online on Tuesday morning, and noticed product shows still in warehouse. Check credit card acct. and not charged yet. Did online chat with service rep, and was told would be charged when shipped, which would be Friday. Told rep what I was told on phone, rep apologized for wrong info given. Checked end of day, and product now shows shipped, but couldn't track it. All in all, still good experience. Will purchase again in future.

The first unit came damaged and with some delays they did send a replacement. Do to the delay because of the damaged unit I was forced to use it without proper testing. I purchased this electronic frig because it is supposed to be super quiet and it is not at all. I hate to request them to send another but after several months it is still unacceptable.I have used them for an AC/Heater that went well.

I ordered a refrigerator from this company. After waiting for 2 weeks, I never received it. I then sent emails to the company requesting the status of my order, they were not able to help me. I then called the customer service. They told me they could not locate my order, even though I provided them with my order receipt and order confirmation number. At the end, I was told that I just had to make another order again and that I had to wait for another 1-2 weeks for them to ship the order. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I then requested to speak to his manager or supervisor directly but he refused to give me his contact number. |

I baught a AmcorALD-12000EH last month. So I have a new model to compare the Edge Star AP420HS to. The loudness of both a more than a window conditioner, but fine. Also the Edge Star seems to cool the apt. down faster and stay cooler. I have the Edge Star in the living room, the Amcor in the bedroom. I find the customer tragedies are thier own making. As far as Compact Appliance. They were very helpful in preliminary purchase. Everything has been great with the order and delivery. I have had no reason to bother this fine company. I have referred them to my friends and am very pleased with the heat pumps, and Compact Appliance. It's too bad that they have to put up with some customers! I haven't noticed a big difference in my electric bill. Can hardley wait for cooler weather. To use the heating capacity. Regards, Larry in Portland, Or.

Don't EVER waste your money with this company who supposedly prides themselves on providing excellent products & customer service! Customer Service?! They are the WORST! I purchased a beverage cooler from them in December and there's a 1 year warranty...Service person came out in May and said it's not repairable. Well, they expect you to return it in the box it came in (like you would have that around still) and pretend you have what they like to call "options" to resolve the problem...yeah, right. We were given an option to purchase another beverage cooler and then when we receive that, pack the broken one in that box and send it back to them and they would credit me....as if I would ever see a credit. This was a complete runaround with them and the manufacturer of the cooler. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE ever with any online company ever and their customer service reps or as they like to pretend to be "Sales Managers" who make decisions are rude & obnoxious. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!

I was a little disappointed in the condition of the product when I received it. The door hidge was out of the socket and the temperature display was not attached on one side. I was all set to return it, but I received an additional 10 percent off from the customer service rep. So far the refrigerator is working fine and for the price I can't find anything comparable so I am crossing my fingers that it continues to work well.
