I was totally amazed with the speed of shipping. I recall ordering this on a Tuesday and receiving it on Thursday! It was the quickest mail-order delivery I've ever had. Product is great, but took a few days to adjust the temperature to where I wanted it. Overall an excellent transaction.

We bought an Edgestar wine cooler from compact appliance and needless to say it had a 90 day warranty. Long story short our service center we took it to on our dime said it was not soldered correctly at the Chineese factory and all the coolent leaked out and it superheated and ruined thousands of dollars in wine. After going back and forth like a pinball, the tech guy at Edgestar (Oxymoron), "a complete disfunctional mess", says : There is nothing we can do for you and that he would check with CA/ Same company to get us something for our troubles to cover our repair (At this time) almost $300 out of pocket, so we picked a $150 fridge. Puts me on hold for five minutes comes back on and says "We can knock 10 percent off and give you an extended warranty!"
What a bunch of spinless liars. Steer clear from Compact appliance and Edgestar. |

CompactAppliances had good prices for what I needed, fast and free shipping. However, I noticed they charged my account twice for the same item forcing me to transfer money so that I would not become overdrawn. I emailed the company about this and they assured me one of the charges would be removed.
A second email was sent asking if this was common practice for them. No response. I would love to give them a good review if I could, but this practice can financially hurt someone. I still don't know if this is just something they do. So, if you order a $250 item, an additional $250 of your money will be tied up for a few days. |

Bought a WM3987HW LG 22 lb Capacity Ventless Washer Dryer Combo from them. So far, not so impressed.
First, the good stuff. They under-promised, over performed on shipping time. That's very good as it is easy to do the reverse in order to make a sale. Next, the price was far better than I could find elsewhere. Second, the not-so-good stuff. I am currently having a bit of a challenge with delivery. In short, I need my old unit taken out in order to receive the new unit. The apartment is rather small with no back yard in which to leave an old unit. The customer service number had a reasonable hold time and I didn't get to the phone fast enough, so I was cut off the first time. The second time, I spoke with a Micheal who didn't really want to help, just wanted to start a fight on the restocking fee. Could it be he has heard this song before? In any case, I suggested we postpone the fight and I will look for disposal alternatives. I will try to update with the final results.... |

BUYER BEWARE!!!I recently purchased an 'OPEN BOX" dehumidifier with a 3 yr warranty that was offered. A few days after the dehumidifier arrived, the registration card arrived. Upon registering the item I was told an OPEN BOX item was not eligible for an extended warranty and that they would credit my cc for the $39.99 that I paid. I would not have bought the item had I not been able to extend the warranty. I will not choose to do business with them in the future thoough I have in the past.

Finding what we wanted was fast and easy. We ordered on line and received it faster than we expected. We are building a room in the finished cellar. We aren't to the stage of even opening the box yet. As soon as we get more done and get ready to place it in the room by the bar, we will know more. I had to say we received it in good quality. Ordering is easy, and shipping is OK, but customer service is Horrible. Nobody wants to help and you cannot return defective products. I will never order from them again. I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. The Edgestar Icemaker I ordered does not make ice, but I can't return it, I have to get "warranty" service from edgestar (part of Living direct, that also owns Compactappliances). Only they don't answer the phone.
