Their key to download didn't work, their customer service levied insults calling me a liar about product problem and my need to purchase from another company, and they refused my request for a refund. Buyer beware!

These guys really don't know how to do business. Good prices and stuff, but charged me £7 for delivery, and 10 days later I STILL haven't got my product! Really poor. Furthermore, it took them 2 days to reply to an e-mail! Not very good customer service - I don't reccomend using them at all.

7593469very terrible merchants. Item backordered for 30 days. Call to cancel, pretend to issued refund. They sent me notice of cancellation and refund notice. The refund was pending for a few days, then refund was removed without any notice. That is lucky I checked the status. Otherwise, I lost money.

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!  AVOID!!!!
Terrible customer service!  If you need any support by phone you can expect to be transferred out of country by people that clearly do not understand the software they are selling.
On top of that they advertise LOW prices only to later tell you that those prices are for select participating schools.  (The way they do this is borderline FALSE ADVERTISING!)

I have had to upload and email the eleigibility documents repeatedly and still get the canned email verbiage that says that the account is on a eligbility hold.

You can login and see that they have received the eligibilty documents, but there is a huge disconnect somewhere in this organization.

Stay away from these guys, there are to many other place where you can get the academic discounts without getting the run around for days or weeks.

Bad service.  Very slow.  They do not communicate internally and many mixed messages that lead to major misunderstandings.  Would try to avoid this site.  Attempted to obtain clarification on the order.  This never happened.  It just got more mixed up.

They are a legititmate store, if you are able to supply the needed credentials, ie., paystub if you are a teacher, or school enrollment verification. I am thinking those that were "scammed" tried to buy and then couldn't supply the proof that they are associated with an academic institution. Get it . . . ACADEMIC Superstore?

I have to say, I was very skeptical, but ordered due to the low pricing. I called their 800 number for info and talked someone that spoke very broken english, but he was helpful. It took about 36 hours to get my "eligibility" authorized, but the product shipped within 8 hours of that (via UPS ground). So overall, not a bad experience.

Disorganized customer service that gives random and varying answers to questions.  Their price on many Adobe products is the same as the Adobe company web site, so why not just order directly from Adobe and save a hassle?  You need to get a serial number from them anyway in order to unlock your student/teacher edition of PS5, so why not skip the headache of dealing with Academic Superstore?

I've purchase from Academic Superstore on 3 other occasions, but my last experience with them will certainly be my last.

I tried placing the order online but was told that I would need to call to place the order. I called and waited on hold over 30 mins (the shortest amount of time I've waited to speak to someone). I was hung up on once, gave up once, and finally got through to someone on the third try.

I placed my order, got a confirmation that I was approved for the license I purchased then didn't hear anything for a week. I emailed customer service and got a canned reply back that stated it just takes a little time to process my order. I waited another week and called (again on hold for over 30 mins) and emailed. They rep told me my order would be shipped out the same day.

Big surprise...it wasn't. I'm currently still trying to get my order processed (another 45 minute phone call today and email).

The prices are good, but if you value your time and appreciate comon courtesy from companies you do business with, I would look elsewhere if possible.

I ordered Corel Painter 11 with an Intuous tablet. They never once sent an emailing confirming the order. They never responded to multiple email requests to send a purchase confirmation with an order number. The order's status shifted from pending, to procesing, and finally to backordered. When I called (for the third or fourth time) to find out why it was backordered, they had no answers. It had been well over a month since placing the order at this point. I was assured nothing would be charged to my credit card until the order shipped. A week or two later I got my credit card statement and they had charged my card - even though the order was still listed as "backordered" on their site. I called and cancelled immediately and demonded a full refund. I hope I get it.

Bottom line - terrible, totally inept customer service. Company is flirting dargerously close with being a scam. I would never do business with them again under any circumstances. Save yourself the trouble and pay full price somewhere else.

Worst online store EVER. I bought an electric dictionary for a father's day gift and asked it to be delivered with two day shipping. Took my money- No product. After a two calls and e-mail, I discovered that THERE WAS NO PRODUCT! Store absolutely SUCKS! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY!!!

I ordered a product from Academic Superstore. Their website said it would ship in 1-2 weeks. After three weeks, I contacted them. They said they were still waiting for a shipment to come in. After five weeks, I contacted them again. They said they aren't expecting it in any time soon and I should order from somewhere else if possible. However, their website STILL says the item will ship in 1-2 weeks. Very misleading. Dishonest. Disappointing.

AVOID AT ALL COST!!!! After ordering a single item and being asked for "eligibility verification" I provided my onilne college info and received an email that the item would be shipped. Even paid for faster shipping. It is now over three weeks later, the class has been on for over two weeks and I still do not have my software. My order says "in process" on their web site. I called their customer support and received absolutely no response, after waiting on hold for over an hour and being told I was caller number 8 down to 1 and next in line, suddenly i was caller 6 again, back to 1 again, then back up to 6, when i was going to give up, the phone clicked as though someone was about to answer, then I was promptly hung up on. I have sent several emails, no answers have been returned. I have tried many email addresses with the company. I finally replied to my order confirmation email with a notification that I would be cancelling my order thorugh American Express. I will not shop here again, and I hope that no one else does either. Terrible experience.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had.

They have not shipped and will not contact me after many attempts at e-mail and by phone. Phone at "customer service" just says they aren't available and will call you. A couple of weeks ago I did contact someone by phone and they said 3 days.

This is a gift for my freshman grand-daughter. At this rate she will have her PhD before getting the program.

Big problem is that I did this on a credit card. They have that information, I can't contact them to cancel the order, since no charge has been put on my account the credit card company can't do anything so my $400 is in limbo. The minute I go elsewhere to buy, they will ship and then I have 2 programs and get to start the return hassle. If they are this way selling me something you can imagine the service returning it. My rating a total MINUS FIVE STARS

FedEx had a problem making delivery of the product for some reason. It seemed to sit on a truck 40 miles south of me for about four days. The Post Office and FedEx do not recognize the same school address. It has been here since 1974, with no changes. FedWx was the only problem.

Previous shopper with good experiences, but now very disappointed. After trying to return the unopened product I was told the manufacturer does not allow returns, and was told it was now an obsolete product (three days later!). I contacted the manf. and was told there was no corporate policy for this - it was a reseller decision. During the online order process it was never mentioned that this product could never be returned (how many would buy if this was stated?). This is the first site I've purchased from that does not warn you of such a policy in advance. Because of this experience, I'd recommend taking my business elsewhere for not being up front or professional after the sale. The only retort I keep getting is "the policy is stated on our web site". Go ahead, try to find it without being told where it is. This practice makes a seemingly professional company seem second rate and petty. It also makes me question other potential customer service issues. There are other resellers that DO NOT have the same return policy!

I needed two books from the CIB series. I knew by reputation that Academic Superstore had great prices so I ordered my books from them. I submitted my required paperwork via email. I got a quick response and my order was shipped that day. It arrived within three days. I am very happy with the whole transaction and am considering purchasing future products from Academic Superstore.

I am a repeat customer with Academic ID on file. Despite this Academic Superstore held up my order until I sent in a new academic Id. Once they processed the order, they added sales tax, even though I am an academic customer. When I finally got through to customer service, the customer service person was conciliatory, took 15 minutes to credit the sales tax, did not send the copy of the invoice that he promised and told me that if I wanted to avoid problems in the future that I should place orders by phone and not use the Academic Superstore website.

POOR! Electronic Download Software - BACKORDERED?

I purchased MindManger from their site on Saturday evening. Per their FAQ page: ESD could take 1-3 days to verify student status and purchase eligibility. I understood this. But on Monday afternoon my order status says BACKORDERED. How in the world can an Electronic Download be backordered? This doesn't make sense.

I looked at Campus Tech first, but they wanted a $10 processing fee for ESD. The processing fee is more than the S/H charge for the boxed version. But, with campus tech they check your student status immediately and you get your download link quickly. Should have gone with Campus Tech.
This is the my first and only purchase with Academic Superstore.

Oh, one last complaint. I kept checking the status of my order over the weekend. All day Sunday, their site kept giving me a Server Load error. I was understandably worried. I just spent $150 on a software download from a site that I couldn't access for a full day. I started wondering if I had been ripped off.
