BUYER BEWARE!!! WORST COMPANY EVER!
I order a refurbished printer from LACC, which they "guaranteed" to have passed rigorous testing and to be fully functional. When I rec'd the printer, it didn't even turn on!!! Nice "testing", LACC. When I tried to contact them, I was given the runaround - emails weren't replied to, voicemails weren't returned. Over a week after receiving the defective product, I finally got a message from customer service, issuing an RMA and indicating that I would need to PAY to return the useless printer (and my original shipping charges would not be credited either). Now, 6 weeks later, I still have not received a credit to my card - and I wouldn't be surprised if they try to pull some kind of "25% re-stocking fee" or something. I've filed a dispute with the credit card company, but any way you slice it, I'm out at least the $65 for shipping both ways! And all for a printer that is about as far from "fully functional" as it gets! These people are total CROOKS! Do not buy from them - it's not worth the minimal savings! |

I placed an order to LA Computer Center which is a refurb projector. I was glad that the product was shipped on time. I have no problems dealing with them because they got great customer relations. I would love to shop again with them next time.

I ordered two refurbished HP LJ P2015 printers from this place. They probably had slightly lower than average refurb prices which is why I went with them. It will be the last time I order from this company. One of the printers arrived competely missing (broken off) the USB port to connect the printer to the computer. I contacted to return and I was told that I would have to pay to ship it back in accordance to their return policy. I told them that is not very fair when they send me something that never did work and physically couldn't work. Anyways, I had to pay to send it back and told them that their "Top Rated Refurbished Center" may need some revamping because if they had actually looked at the machine to test it, they simply could not have hooked it up. Something tells me their Refurbished Center is nothing more than a packaging center. I would guess nothing is turned on or plugged in. I would never reorder something refurbished from this place.

My company ordered a Polycom phones and accessories from LACC.
The phones took 6-8 weeks to arrive (beyond the promised ship date.) After waiting months for new phones, one was missing a critical part. This is month 3 and we are still waiting for the part so we can actually use the phone. The headsets took 6 weeks to arrive. Customer service was unresponsive, and rarely responded to our requests. |

I tried to order a Mac from them, but they made it practically impossible.Very frustrating to deal with the office and poor customer service....Even though they have very good prices, its not worth the hassle.

LA Computer Center shipped the incorrect item. Return process was slow and painful. Initially called the store to report he problem and request an RMA. I as directed to send an email to service@lacc.com in order to get an RMA #. Response from service@lacc.com was slow (two days between emails). It has been 5 days since I initally reported the issue and I still don't have the correct drive nor an RMA to return to old drive.
With so many other options for commodities such as this, my company will no longer order from LACC and I recommend anyone reading this avoid LACC as well. |

other than the fact that it took quite a few days to arrive the overall transaction was quite simple. I think the delayed delivery was due to the long distance involved. I would definitely order from them again.

This is absolutely the worst company I have ever done business with online. They don't return phone calls or e-mails unless it involves getting your money. Its been two weeks and they can't even tell me where my package is. I paid for 2nd Day Air shipping and they tell me it was accidentally shipped by USPS without a tracking number. I feel like this company is scamming me. I tried to cancel my order, but they told me I can only do it by e-mail and not on the phone. Of course they don't respond to their e-mail.

Customer service is horrible- they tried to stiff me upon return. Had to work w/ AMEX to file complaint and receive credit. After daily attempts to return a defective item they finally issued an RMA which I had to ship to MN and upon confirmed shipping

Item shipping delayed without communication. Company attributed delay to “warehouse checking to make sure everything worked” as refurb item with warranty ordered - still sent wrong model number. Item arrived in faulty working condition despite claims regarding quality control check prior to shipping. According to their policies return window is 15-days. RMA number requested via email form on their website as per policies. Since they started on the wrong foot with us we followed up the RMA request by calling them. We were told we would have to wait 48 hours for Return Authorization (translation: four business days). 48-hour turnaround for RMA number is unacceptable with only a 15-day return window. Company staff unable to provide service but they can “count to three…” and resort to hanging up on clients instead of responding to request for service. RMA is impossible to acquire via telephone, much less in the same day or even the next day. Staff is uncommunicative, immature, and rude. Nobody has any answers to any questions. Nobody has any service knowledge. You will be far better off to look for other merchants with whom to establish a functioning vendor relationship.

LACC is easily the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Their policy of contact only by email is completely unacceptable. They also repackage damaged items and resell them. I have since reported them to the BBB and am waiting for a response, which will hopefully be resolved more quickly than dealing with LACC directly. I suggest that anyone with a complaint against LACC does the same. Maybe we can put them out of business and spare potential buyers the aggravation of dealing with a pathetic company.

LA Computer Center has always been a pleasure to work with. I have made several purchases from them and each and every one has been delivered in a very short time. There has never been a mistake or problem. Their descriptions are very good and describe exactly what you are buying. The shipping costs have been very reasonable and less than other sellers I have dealt with. I have had to call Customer service twice to ask a question and they have always been courteous and answered my questions promptly. I am extremely satisfied!!

Do not DEAL with LACC. They are a company that sells used and refubished products to unsuspecting customers as new. Try calling the manufacturer and asking if the product you recieved was new. They are also part of a company called Penguin Express. DO NOT DEAL WITH LACC. You have been forewarned. Only blame yourself if you bought something from them after reading bad reviews.

I bought one printserver HP, the item was received in good condition, as advertise. Using a search motor I found the best price in LACC.
Paying is easy, using credit card. They ship my goods the next day of my purchase. I received email updates giving confirmation, thanks for payment, shipping confirmation, tracking number, delivered email. This is not the first time I bought from LACC and in the last year they have improve service. In other item I had an rma problem and service was good. |

I was quite impressed with the prompt service I received with my order. My printer is not in production any longer and I was afraid I would not be able to find a drum but I was wrong. After my initial purchase, I received a response within a few hours and was told that it had been processed and sent within 24 hours. I received it in 3-4 days. I will purchase all my printer needs from your online store in the future. My daughter has the same printer that she uses for her business and I have passed along the purchase information for her printer needs in the future as well. I found LACC while Googling for a Model Number. The web description was clear and informative. After more research at the manufacturers web site, I returned to the LACC site and purchased the item. It was shipped promptly, arrived in good condition, and was exactly as described. I installe dthe tieim, and it works just fine. I would not hesitate to return to the LACC site, and make another purchase.

I was very satisfied with the website--I found it easy to navigate and found exactly what I was looking for. In addition, the item I was seeking was discontinued and it was the most competitive price on the net. LA Computer Store was half the price of most other vendors. Customer service was a breeze because, well, there was nothing to complain about. But the company followed up my order to be sure I received it and was satisfied; the customer service rep was courteous and very friendly. The item arrived the next day and worked as expected with no difficulty. I will come back to this site for future computer needs as well as recommend the site to others.

Absolutely the worst shopping experience I've ever had, period. You can't talk to customer service on the phone, they didn't respond to many of my 35+ emails about the broken printers they sent me. In addition, they sent me two different models, although I ordered a model that was different from both of those they sent me, THEN they had the nerve to tell me that I was wrong! Since their shipping department said that's what they shipped, they must be right. Then, they promised to reimburse me for shipping them back since I had to return them TWICE, and while I was waiting for the pickup, the RMA expired so now they won't take them back at all. Don't do it, no matter how tempting the price. This went on for 6 months and now I'm stuck with two broken printers. They are absolutely horrible.

I was looking for some printer network cards and many places did not have them in stock. I was able to find the product I needed at LACC. They also had the items for a really good price. I thought their ordering process was fast and simple and I received the items promptly in good packaging. Their shipping cost was a little high, but considering the deal I got on the items themselves it more than made up for it. I have not had occasion to order from them since but I would do so again.

I have never had such trouble with any company in my life. Their customer service is unresponsive, and combative. They sent the wrong units, then had the nerve to tell me I was wrong! They DO NOT care about their customers. You can't even speak with customer service on the phone, only via email and if the person happens to be out of the office for a month, nobody responds at all. I would absolutely avoid this company at all cost. We bought refurbs trying to save some money and it has cost us a fortune in time and shipping costs to get this resolved, only to find out that they won't honor their own policies. Don't do it. You will get burned.

We needed a printer for an older computer lab at our Center. We purchased a new printer, but because of the age of the computers, found there were no drivers that would support the printer using the computer's operation system.
We found a refurbished printer on the LA Computers Center's On line Store. It was just like the one we used before, a sturdy printer that gave us years of service. I placed an on line order without a problem. The web site was easy to understand. The printer arrived on time as promised and looks and works like it was new, right off the factory floor. We will use LA Computer Center again for future purchases. |

I purchased some hp toner ink from LA Computer Center off of eBay in October of 2007 and was completely satisfied with the transaction. The ink was as advertised, genuine hp toner (important because other refills quality is always lower) that had not been refilled or refurbished or anything like that. The only odd thing was that the toner didn't come in the retail boxes that I normally get them in, but perhaps they were OEM or something - either way it didn't matter for us (less garbage!).
Anyways, they shipped the product fast, e-mailed me the tracking # and followed up after the transaction. That's the type of service you used to get from sellers on eBay in the 90s, not anymore where you pay for something and hope it shows up in a week or two. I would definitely buy from LA Computer Center again and considering that they saved me about $300 by purchasing it online from them rather than from OfficeMax means I will be coming back. |
