The fixture took a long time to arrive. I was very disappointed to find when I opened the fixture that it took a special bulb that was similar to ones we used when we lived overseas. The bulb has two prongs on the end instead of a screw type element. The fixture takes three of these bulbs and they will have to be special ordered every time one goes out. I feel that the fact that this fixture uses a non-standard, special order type of bulb should have been made clear before I purchased it. If I had seen that was the case, I wouldn't have purchased this fixture.

I am very pleased with the selection offered by Lamps Plus. I have searched for years for replacement shades for some of the lamps in our home, and I'm thrilled to have found shades that work from Lamps Plus. A few of the shades were not a good fit, so I had to return them (and I had to resort to another vendor to find what we needed), but the customer service people were very helpful in the return process.

I'm a little uncomfortable because once i submited all required shipping information and the order was placed they had to re-confirm the order by phone and the delivery company had to call me to before shipping delivery again this caused some days of delays i do not think is necessary to pass for all these filters what I'm suggesting is to open a file with the first purchassing and proceed with subsequent orders in an expedite way. besides this i'm very happy with LampsPlus.

Ordering was easy. Arrived in good shape. But had 2 issues. Assembly instructions were clear. But I did have a problem when I was attaching the glass shade to the lamp...the metal piece that secures the shade didn't screw on straight and it got wedged on the piece it attaches to so that I can't loosen or tighten it. So I guess the good news is the shade probably won't come off---but it has a lot of wobble in it when I move the lamp. Second issue was that the tape used to secure the cord to the packing styrofoam was secured so tight that the styrofoam actually was imbedded in the lamp cord. Was very strange---almost as if the tape had a chemical reaction with the styrofoam and melted it-----it was very difficult to clean off the cord in several place. But that said, I do like the lamp :-).

The finish on the lamps was not as described. They were supposed to be brushed but tthey turned out to be a dull chrome. I would not have bought them if I know they were chrome. However, I did keep them.

The lamp was just what I wanted. It was a Sonneman design and that is fun because I have one of his Classic chandeliers. The price was better than I found on Amazon and the service was speedy and required nothing other than to open the box which arrived on time.

The lamps received were not damaged. However, they were not as expected. The lamps had a black plastic strip down each side of the "crystal" base which was not displayed on the website picture. Had I been able to see this black plastic part, I would not have ordered the lamps. I don't think they were adequately represented in the website picture or in the lamp description. A "black plastic" component on a "crystal lamp" is not an expected part of lamp and should be called out in the description.

We purchased the garden fountain as a Christmas present for our son in Florida. Though we purchased it during the Lamps Plus "Black Friday Holiday Sale", they did not allow us to have the item gift wrapped, we could not include a note, they couldn't even tell me whether or not the package being shipped directly to our son would contain an invoice showing the price (not the kind of thing one wants to share with the giftee). Despite emails and phone calls to the company, I could not get any further information, nor did anyone I speak to seem remotely interested in my questions or dilemma. If this company is going to provide merchandise during traditional holiday promototions, common sense should dictate they be prepared to ship gifts.

They don't back up what they sell. Do not buy from them. We ordered a lamp and shortly after the pole loosened from the base and would no longer fasten securely to the base. We promptly contacted customer service and at least they returned the call. However, the customer rep told us sorry, can't help you. No return, no fix no nothing just complete customer DISSATISFACTION.. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. So now we are sitting here with this piece of junk floor lamp propped up underneath the couch just to make it stand. Don't buy from them. Buy local at least then you can return it. Absolutely zero satisfaction from these people

Do business with Lamps Plus at your own risk. The factory that makes Mac Motion sells three different brands. The lowest quality is a brand called Comfort Chair which is what Lamps Plus sent me. It's not what I ordered or paid for. I ordered a Mac Motion. The Attorney General in New Mexico explains that this is called bait and switch, a common practice among unethical businesses. After numerous calls, Lamp Plus finally gave me a return number but I was required to pay $85 for return shipping. With the initial shipping cost of $50 (non-refundable), I'm now out $135 for shipping. My next step will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General. Save yourself the trouble and go with a company like Amazon.
