We would highly recommend AJ Madison to anyone anywhere. We ordered our appliances from them. There was a slight snafu which they immediately corrected. The appliances were every bit as good as advertised. Delivery was as promised. They were very courteous and helpful from beginning to end. We will definitely shop with them again.
Online stores could take lessons from AJ Madison. |

I can't say enough good things about AJ Madison. I price shopped our appliances for our kitchen and no won had better prices than them. I bought a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher for our new house. The appliances were delivered and put in a garage as our house was not ready. When we unpacked the refrigerator over a month later, there were two small dents in the doors. I contacted them as I was supposed to inspect the products after receiving them but I did not want to take the packing material off because they were going to be moved to another location. They are now sending me two new doors and told me to contact them when I receive them so they can have someone come out and install them. No questions asked. Wow. Never had customer service like this ever before. Amazing. I would definitely recommend that you buy your appliances from you. Can't be beat in price or customer service.

Don’t be fooled by the five star review. Read the one star and two star review and they are true. The product description is so tricky and miss leading. They made you think the price is cheap, but many accessories are not included. For example, we purchased a range hood for $379. In the product description, it never mentions that non-duct recirculation kit is not included. However, it mentions the lamps are not included. The description is to trick people. I received a duct type range hood and I have to pay $110 plus shipping to convert it to a non duct type, not to mention I have to pay for the lamps. This company made return very expensive and hard. They charge you 25% restocking fee and you have to pay for the shipping. For expensive item like this, I should have gone to a local retail store. We will never ever buy anything from this vendor.

AJ Madison has delivery problems. They seem to rely on a separate national delivery company that, in turn, contracts with local delivery companies, who, it seems, in some cases, hire local delivery trucks. If anything goes wrong, the customer is several steps removed from the process. AJ Madison, once they have made the sale, cares little about the customer experience and blames everything down the line. It is not a good situation to get into.

I bought a Sub-Zero refrigerator (as part of a huge appliance order) and AJ Madison repeatedly sent me the wrong door panels. I had to pay again for the right set and never got reimbursed in full for the stuff I returned. They never return phone calls or e-mails, constantly change correspondents, and consistently lie. Even if their prices are decent, it is not worth the aggravation. Must be avoided at all cost!

UNFORTUNATELY THE FILTERS WILL NOT ALLO ME TO EXPRESS IN STARK TERMS HOW MESSED UP THIS COMPANY IS. I WAITED 3 MONTHS FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE MINI-SPLIT SANYO UNIT. IT WAS DEFECTIVE ON ARRIVAL AND THEY SAY THEY CANNOT GET THE PART TO FIX IT UNTIL JANUARY 2012. MY CLIENTS HAD TO SUFFER THE ENTIRE SUMMER WITH NO AIR CONDITIONER HERE IN LAS VEGAS. NOW, I HAVE TO TELL THEM THEY HAVE TO GO THE WINTER WITH NO HEAT. EVEN MORE UNSATISFACTORY IS THE SANYO TECHNICAL SUPPORT. LESS THAN 25% OF THE TIME I CALL DO I EVER GET CALLED BACK AND EVEN THEY CANNOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
I INSTALL ALOT OF MINI-SPLITS AND REGULAR HVAC EQUIPMENT AND GIVEN THE 25 OF SO HOURS I HAVE TIED UP IN JUST TRYING TO GET THIS ONE FIXED I HAVE LOST IN EXCESS OF$2000.00 ADDITIONALLY, THE OWNER OF THE PROPERTY CANCELLED HIS NEW TRANE SYSTEM DO TO MY INABILITY TO GET AJ MADISEN AND SANYO TO ACT IN A RESPONSIBLE WAY. I ordered the Maytag Bravos washer in the silver. It was a great price. Unfortunaely I will not be receiving this washer, or any other, because Maytag discontinued the washer in silver. AJ Madison refused to give me the same model in white, or any other similar model, for the same price they advertised. I don't know the formal definition of "false advertising"- but when you advertise and product and price, you should honor that to the best of your ability. I am very upset by them and they way they handled our conversation and transaction.

I had a great experience with AJ Madison. They promised me my appliances a week from the day I purchased and they were delivered by AM Home Delivery a day early. I purchased 3 Bosch appliances and they were as promised!
It can sometimes be tough to get through there phone system but I had no problems dealing with these guys. Jonathan was a very nice and knowledgable sales person! |

Poor service. Lots of double talk. Once they got my money, that was it. Had trouble with installation - took 4 months and a lot of phone calls and finally had to hire someone else to finish the job. Like to support Brooklyn businesses, so hate giving a bad review, but these folks were pretty poor.

From pricing, to my product specialist, to delivery, my overall experience with AJ Madison was very positive. Pricing was very good, my sales representative was very knowledgeable about the products I was interested in purchasing and the delivery men were prompt, courteous and very careful when deliverying a compete kitchen and laundry of appliances into my home and down a full set of stairs down into my basement. I would like to leave a comment regarding the sales representative that I was dealing with. He was helpful in obtaining my quote and great with follow up. However, he just called me to follow up and to inquire about the status of my order. Upon hearing that I decided to proceed with another vendor, he abruptly hung up on me without even hearing me out. I felt that it was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional of him. I definitely made the right choice to not to purchase my $10K in appliances from AJ Madison company with sales representatives that conduct themselves so poorly with potential customers.

Of all the internet and non internet purchasing experiences of my entire life, A.J. Madison far exceeds the worst experience I have ever had. It's easy to order at A.J. Madison, but their promise to deliver in a timely manner and their claim to a high level of cusomer service is a completely false representation of their company. After waiting more than a month for delivery of a washer and dryer from A.J. Madison, I never received the appliances. As a result of 3 conversations with the freight company used by A.J. Madison and no satisfaction, I cancelled the order since A.J. Madison was unable to deliver as promised in 7 -10 business days. They of course expect me to pay a 15% restocking fee and freight to ship the appliances back to them. Beware of this company. They have been a huge disapointment and it has been impossible to speak on the telephone to anyone in customer service. To date, I have not spoken with anyone....always put on hold for lengthy periods of time. Their customer service representatives seem to perfer threatening comments using email, but none of them have names. Poor customer service and poor delivery.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews of AJ Madison on the net. Enough to make me concerned when I bought $2,500 worth of refrigerator and range. All I can say is that my transaction went down without a hitch. Much better than expected. Low price. Fast delivery. Quality merchandise. Maybe their customer support folks are jerks. I don't know. Never had to speak to them. Maybe somewhere they hire lousy freight companies to deliver their merchandise. Mine came on a Starck Van Lines truck and the two guys that brought my appliances to my doorstep could not have been nicer. And, a nice lady from Starck called later that evening to check on how my delivery went. So, maybe all those one star reviews are legit. But I give them 5.

Excellent overall experience. Mordy Mueller was extremely patient, helpful and accessible throughout the process. He went out of his way to make sure I was aware of all available rebates. The appliances were delivered on time, intact, no glitches. When I had to make some changes, exchanging some appliances, it was done in a very pleasant way. No hassles. I expect to use AJ Madison for future appliance purchases.

In searching for a new front loading washer and dryer, I was given the link for AJ Madison to check out. The prices were very comparable and the fact that there was no sales tax or delivery charge sealed the deal. I called and ordered through one of their salespeople (Jacob) who was very knowledgeable about the product and helpful with delivery information. The units shipped when promised (in 2 days) and were delivered when promised with no problems. After reading some of the reviews on the delivery company, I admit I was worried. They came on time and were extremely professional. They do charge for installation which was explained to me when I bought the machines. All in all, my experience with AJ Madison was great and I would recommend them!

Promised to deliver my order in 2 weeks, but no updates at all in 3 weeks. Called customer service multiple times. They promised to investigate whereabouts of the order and call me back. But they NEVER did! And did I mentioned that they shut off their office for over a week for Easter? This is unheard of. Had to cancel order and dispute credit card.

Ordering process was difficult -- the sales person said the products were in stock but in fact he lied -- they were not in stock. Took two calls to confirm that the sales person lied to me. Shipment took more than a week for stuff to be 'available'. Another 3 days to get to the distribution center and then 9 days to get to my home. DO NOT expect good service. Accept the fact of poor service and judge if the low price will compensate you for your time and aggregation. DO NOT buy the warranty -- lots of horror stories on this site about how they seem to 'bait & switch' the customer when it comes to actually getting service. |

On phone on hold for no joking, HOURS of time, each time I called to inquire about my order and why it had not shipped. I was finally told the items where discontinued and to substitute a lower quality one for almost the same price. Their "price match" guarantee is a joke. They told me they had to verify the competitor was a "dealer", which they were, that the items had to be in stock, which they were, and once they verified all that, they told me it was too low of a price and they would not match it!!!

Although my items were on backorder, i found the staff to be very helpful and they give excellent customer service. I received my new washer and dryer the other day and i felt the transaction went very smoothly. All calls made to aj and the delivery company were answered quickly and professionally. Everyone was polite and I would most likely order from aj in the future!

I purchased a washer and dryer from them, and I would like to share a few tips. (1) make sure you check your model numbers against the model numbers offered in a rebate before you pay. They tried to sell me a dryer that was not the correct one for the rebate being offered. (2) The freight company has issues. They take longer than they are suppose to, so be prepared. If you continue to call AJ Madison and are patient enough to be caller number eight, they will help you. Threaten to have your purchase returned to them, that should help. Try top get them to throw in something extra for the problems because of shipping. The shipper gave me free installation, because of the delays.
