I ordered a new delzone ozonator. Shipping was fast and the product arrived in good condition. It did not however, include any installation instructions. As I already had one installed it was basically a swap out procedure for me. When the unit didn't come on at the time I thought it should I called for advice. I was on hold for 54 minutes while they counted down my number in line. Finally I was to be the next call answered and I get a recording to please leave a brief message and number and they would call me back shortly. I was flabbergasted. I left the message and never heard back from them. Lousy customer service

The whole experience just ok. I got the top of the line cover, sparing no expense. When I called for a little help, customer service treated me like an idiot. Maybe I was ? Though, after I took her advice and went back to the "Helpful hints", I got my answers. Ok, not stellar so far. The freight was late, but very apologetic and kind. No big deal. Box was open, but no damage. Cover and lift now installed. Skirt is 3/4" short of butting up to other skirt on 2 out of 4 corners. Not enough for me to send it back, but a little dissapointing, considering someone must have known, to make the other two corners perfect ? The "lift" directions are for a 4 inch thick cover, but not an insurmountable problem. Simply move whole lift further out. Despite my nit-picking, it really looks good. I have two tubs, and am going to order from another company, not so much because I'm disappointed here, but just to see if I can do better elsewhere. For now, 2 stars, because it has potential. Fine tuning will go a long way in these reviews.

Ordered a Spa Cover and within 4 months we had mold and mildew growing on the inside of the plastic sealed core and on the inside of the cover. I contacted them several times thru spa depot and thermalock technologies and 6months later I have yet to hear anything back. I have given them all the info, pictures (had to send them twice because they stated they had never received the first set of 9 pictures) and completed the questionairre and have not heard a word. I've contacted Spa Depot and was pretty much hung up on from thier "online customer specialist" person and have had several emails go unanswered. I was told that we would hear back from them the following monday and 2 weeks later, no word what so ever. We have spent over $1000 on products, cover, and chemicals and am so very disappointed in how we have been treated. I used to think they were great and had excellent customer service, now I think differently. I will never recommend them nor use them again for ANYTHING!

BBB #22297320Consumer's Original Complaint : Closed 8/17/11The product is a spa cover. At issue is the fact that the cover is less than 2 years old, there is a stated 5-year warranty that apparently covers nothing, and my spa

I REALLY WISH I HAD READ THESE REVIEWS OF THIS COMPANY BEFORE I PURCHASED WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would NEVER recommend this company. I spoke with a customer service rep to order the cover (400.00 worth) TO MAKE SURE it would be right. Our hot tub has a raised control panel. I did not realize this until I put the new cover on. Now the cover is lifted on one end like 4"... and not keeping the water hot. This should be one of the questions asked when ordering. I called to ask what could be done and both the "customer service rep" and also her "supervisor" were both rude and unwilling to offer any help WHAT SO EVER! TOTAL SCAM DON"T BUY FROM THEM!! THE COVER IS CRAP and a WASTE OF $400.00. THEY ARE QUICK TO TAKE YOUR MONEY THEN LEAVE YOU HIGH AND DRY IF THERE IS A PROBLEM. I'M CONTACTING BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. SHADY. |

I had a very bad experience getting my cover replaced when it was water logged after 2 years. It was under a 5 year guarantee. At first they said I had to apply to the manufacturer for a replacement, but they did come around. Every email I sent and every phone call had to be repeated at least twice to get a response. The manager, Kathy, was very rude to me on the phone. The shipper they used used very thin boxes and both shipments came with torn boxes. The first shipment had a tear in the new cover, so I had to repeat the process. In all, I spent 3 months getting a replacement.

Total ripoff, poor customer service and false warranty

Absolute rip off...I paid to have the top of their line cover, with extra insulation, wraps to keep out moisture, etc. Within a year it had taken on a ton of water on one side. I sent pictures, documented everything. Their warranty is absolute BS. They hide behind their warranty where I must send a water logged cover, at my own expense, to Florida for review and then pay to have it sent back. Total BS. I spoke with "customer service" a number of times, emails tons of pictures, requested supervisors... I even offered after numerous emails to pay for a new cover at a reduced rate to avoid the shipping hassles and expenses and the supervisor never even responded to my requests.AVOID THIS COMPANY

Spa Cover failed. Warranty requires owner to pay for shipping both ways.

Horrible. The Spa Cover failed in under 1 year. I paid extra for the double wrap and the higher density core. In under 1 year the cores filled with water and the zippers broke. Their customer service was awful. The have a warranty they hide behind since they require the customer to pay for shipping the cover back to the facility in Florida and pay for the RETURN to the customer. I do not recommend The SPA DEPOT. They do not stand by their products. The entire experience was horrible.

Warranty is a Fake - Poor Quality Covers
by njcapitalist, October 27, 2010

Purchased cover with upgrades (including double wrapped core) eleven months ago. Double wrapped core leaked and core absorbed water creating huge sag. After supplying a laundry list of photos and answers to questions, meeting their criteria and clearly showing a cover that had half sagging into the spa, they said they cannot honor warranty unless I shipped the 200 lb water logged cover across the county to they. (Shippers would not take a water logged cover and if they did, the cost would be more then the cost of the cover.) Spadepot knows what they are doing....selling poor quality covers with a phony guarantee that nobody can claim when product fails. Reporting them to BBB and NJ and WA State Attorney General. Buyer Beware!

Customer Service Does Not Go the Extra Mile

If you receive an item that is blemished (such as their Hot Tub Caddy Shelf), The Spa depot may not pay for return shipping, as in my situation. I ordered two Hot Tub Caddy Shelves for $49.95 each; one was perfectly white while the other had a small black spot on the top surface. Yes, I am a picky customer, but for the price I paid, I expect a product to be in its best condition. When asked if they would pay for return shipping of the flawed item, customer service at The Spa Depot said, "The defect... really does not affect the function of the shelf." Why did they not just do what they had to do to keep a high-end shopper happy? They are a good company with fair prices and selection, but they do not have great customer service when you need to return an item that is flawed. Not knowing what the condition of things I order will be, and having to pay to return items with manufacturer defects (shipping and possibly a restocking fee), I would not do business with them again.

Great products, Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service from purchase to problem resolution. We have made a handful of purchases for accessories and chemicals after purchasing a hot tub. We had no delivery issues like the previous comment. All products have been as described on the site and prices are lower than any we could find. Customer service was knowledgeable and very helpfull to us as new spa owners. We will continue to refer all to Spa Depot. We did experience a leak in one of the jets about a month after delivery. Everyone was responsive from the customer service at Spa Depot, to the manufacturer, to the service person that fixed the problem. We are totally satisfied with our experience.

We purchased a Belize II hot tub from them and were very pleased with the purchase. Although they state that they only guarantee curbside delivery, we were able to arrange delivery to the backyard with no problem.
The spa was delivered undamaged and was installed without any problems. Printed documentation that came with the spa was really bad. There is no manual for the specific model and the generic instructions did not seem to match the controls on the spa we received. However a couple of calls to customer support cleared up some of our confusion. Customer support is great as long as you only need it from 8 to 5 west coast time. No weekend or after hours support. |

''BUYER BEWARE'' Our spa was ordered for medical reasons as we are both disabled. Little did we know that SPA DEPOT offers FREE SHIPPING which we came to find is shipping to your home state at which time you are on your own. You will rent your own truck and a crew and find the wharehouse on your own and pick up your spa yourself. Dare to question the SPA DEPOT and you will be met with a run around that you will not believe up to including and I quote. "It's yours now" and "Pick it up yourself or we'll charge you costs to return it to us" "It is not refundable if you can't pick it up"
Please be advised that this exact product is available from "WAL MART" with delivery to your door without difficulty for $19.95 This company is severely lacking in customer service abilities and leaves you to your own device once the money is in there pocket. SPARE YOURSELVES AND YOUR WALLET !!!!! these people are FLY BY NIGHT RIP OFF ARTISTS. Kevin Roberts , Marshfield Massachusetts |

A Customer for Life!

The Spa (Belize Oval 2) is awesome! It was shipped\delivered (free, I might
add) all in one piece - in 100% perfect shape. Got it wired easily by my electrician; up and running in 3 hours - temp went from 64 (from the hose) to 102 in less than an hour and a half (220v really makes it heat quick). Had the thermostat turned down to 80 for past 3 days and the temp is still as high as 94 - amazingly well insulated, saving me tons of money! I am elated at this purchase - the price is a screaming deal with its real wood exterior and the thick acrylic interior. I sound like a salesman for the product, but I am also really impressed by your company (order status sent, instructions sent about delivery, the elaborate 'care' box of all the necessary spa supplies, the free 'devil duck', etc...), which all adds up to a very positive consumer experience. I definitely will by buying my supplies through you (and let anyone who inquires about my spa to checkout SpaDepot.com). A customer for life! |

They Really DO have the lowest prices!

I decided to price hot tub chemicals and other items that I needed for our spa at several online stores to find the best deals. The Spa Depot claims to have the lowest prices, but I wanted to see if that was really true.
There were 11 items on my list, and I checked 4 stores. Indeed, The Spa Depot had lower prices on 9 of the 11, was tied on 1. Another store was lower by $1 on just one item, but upon reading the fine print, that dealer was charging $8.95 for shipping, while The Spa Depot has free shipping, with a $3.95 handling fee for orders under $100. Since my order was over $100, I got both fee shipping AND free handling. I received my order in just 5 days, well-packed, and as described. Highly recommended. Plus their Spacyclopedia has a wealth of useful info for the care and feeding of hot tubs. You could read all day and not see it all. |

The Spa Depot is a great place to do business

Just wanted you to know that I am quite pleased with the overall transaction I made online with your company. I purchased a hot tub replacement cover and it arrived just as ordered. It fits beautifully and is exactly what I had hoped for. The communications were excellent and the trucking company that made the delivery was professional in every way.
Keep up the good work. My friends tell me that I "tell it like it is". Well, in this case, spread the word. This is a great place to do business. |

(Updated 11/7/2006)
We have been using the Spa Depot exclusively for spa supplies for the past 4+ years since getting our spa. Their product information is great, and shipping is included in the prices (although there is an additional $2.95 handling charge per order). You also get your choice of free gift with an order of $50 or more, and the gifts are useful items like cleaning sponges, measuring spoons (for spa chemicals), etc. Items we've ordered have ranged from the usual chemicals and filters to larger items such as a spa blanket and cover lifter. Our orders have always been filled promptly, correctly, and packaged well. Also, their prices tend to be great! We've very satisfied and have placed about 8 orders with them. |
