I went in to wolf camera today hoping to find a nice selection of dslrs, lenses and so forth. I mean after all it is a camera store. What else would they carry? Well contrary to my assumption, they had virtually nothing to offer. Just a bunch of tripods and camera bags, FEW lens filters and some odds and ends like clearance items that looked 10 years old.
Best buy has a far grander selection of camera and dslrs and their cooresponding lenses. So they not only did they have nothing but tripods and cases but no customer service what so ever. No front door greeting that some of us find annoying but when you dont get one you dont fell that welcome. I will not recommend wolf camera to anyone. I got my D3100 at best buy with great help and a much better selection, and they aren't even a camera store.. Very Disappointed. |

I have had terrible experiences printing digital photos at Homewood, Alabama's Wolf Camera. Their customer service is terrible; the turn around time is slow and they are overpriced. Most recently, I went to print digital photos that I had purchased from a professional photographer. After I selected the images, paid and left the store, I was called and told I would have to return to the store and provide a copy of the contract I signed with the photographer in order to receive the prints. In an era of Shutterfly and digital printing kiosks at virtually every drug store, the last thing I had time to do was find my contract and go back to "prove" I had purchased the photos. Never was this mentioned at the point of sale or posted anywhere in the store. In the future, I will certainly take my business elsewhere. Wolf Camera needs to be much clearer with their policies and procedures in the future, especially when they proceed to take money from a customer and provide a pickup time.

1.Called customer service number in India to request purchase of a pair of Pentax binoculars from Wolf Camera.
2. When email was received shortly after showing my order, it indicated that I was purchasing two pairs of binoculars, instead of the one requested.
3. Called India immediately to report the problem and ask that only one be sent and was told that they would have to cancel the first order and resubmit an additional order for one item.
4. Was told that if they were not able to stop the shipment of the first package that I was to refuse the box containing two and gave me the shipping number to verify which box to refuse.
5. Box with 2 was delivered and refused.
6. Waited for box with 1 pair of binoculars to arrive, which by the way was shown as having been ordered from Ritz Camera instead of Wolf. (Just one more confusing aspect of this transaction.) Started tracking it online and watched as it got farther and farther from my house!
7. Called FedEx to see what was happening and they couldn't explain the problem because they also showed a delivery date for the next day, even though my package had been returned to a spot hundreds of miles away.
8. FedEx determined that the second box had somehow also been shown to be "refused" even though I had never seen it and was waiting patiently for delivery.
9. Meanwhile, the birthday for which this was to be a gift came and went.
10. Now you understand why I will not be likely to purchase Wolf Camera merchandise again.
11. Suggestion: Perhaps you can employ domestic help for your customer service contacts since I believe the problems began with language misinterpretation.

I ordered thee digital frames for a project I doing for my family. Two arrived and one didn't. I called. Was told that a return credit was issued for one of them because it was out of stock. I explained why I needed three. When I ordered, it showed three available. The guy on the other end of the phone (who did not seem to understand my issue at all), said they issued a credit. I told him then I needed to shop the other two back. He said he would send me a form and I have yet to receive it. I would never have ordered them in the first place if it weren't showing three available. I would never have expected to hear what I heard. Awful service.

After placing order, the order never appeared in the order status on the web page. This purchase was for a birthday present. After getting close to that date and nothing showing on the website, I called customer service. This was 6 days after placing the order. The website said product would ship in 3-5 days. I was told when calling that the order would not ship for approximately 10 - 14 more days. I immediately placed an order through another retailer because of the date required issue. The next day, I got an e-mail stating that this order had shipped. Luckily, I had time to cancel the other order before it had been shipped and billed. Although I am happy with the item its self, I am completely unhappy with the website and lack of knowledge from customer service. This will be a major consideration towards making any future purchases from Wolf/Ritz.

RitzCamera.com, WolfCamera.com and Boatersworld.com what ever they want to call themselves are nothing but con artists. They DO NOT stand behind their word. I ordered a camera from wolfcamera.com to only have them screwed up my credit card info causing a hold on my order. I canceled the order because of this but they shipped it anyway and billed my card AFTER I canceled it. I requested a RMA to return the camera that was not even taken out of the shipping package. They received it and I have an employee signature where they received it and now they want to drag their feet on refunding my money. The bill was $102 and they tried the first time of saying I would only get $77 back. BS!!! I will get all $102 of it back if I have to tell my attorney to proceed with the law suit he already has drawn up. They are thieves and con artists which I will be going after them or theft. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM this company.

I had to contact store representatives more than 3 times and told them I needed the products withing an specific period of time, however they only informed me that product was no longer available after I performed payment. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone and will register complaints in all available ways. In the website, even after they communicated the unavailability of item, it was still showing same product as "in stock" which means they would keep their unnaceptable behavior of fooling clients.

I had to cancel my order which took an act of congress in itself! The site said the 18" subwoofer was in stock, so i place the order over internet. I received no shipping notification after 2 weeks and decided to call customer service. No one could give me an answer as to why my order had not shipped after 2 weeks. Finally an online service rep told me the item was out of stock and on back order, which was not stated on the site! Long story short, I never got my subwoofer in time for my gig and had to refund the customer $100 for the bass they wanted for the party! Don't buy if you're international!!
If you do, you'll have to call an underpaid foreign service agent who can only go by his script. Then they'll send you a FAX form asking for authorization for the order - except that they don't even fill out THEIR part of the form - stuff like the order number and total amount for the order (was I supposed to pick a shipping cost out of thin air???) I'm a regular online shopper - including many US retailers. I'm in Canada - not a big stretch - and have never encountered a worse retailer to buy from. I canceled my order and paid more elsewhere. |
