Horrible experience every step of the way. Purchased a TV, took 12 days to get it with no way to track it. Then it turns out it was a wrong TV that is cheaper. I called them and told that my TV was more expensive than what I had intended to purchase. A big fat lie. Referred them to their own web site and lists $250 less. When I wanted to return they told me to open the box to confirm it was not broken. The box was such that once opened hard to put back together. Was emailing me consistently to instruct but once opened they never got back with me. I will be reporting them to BBB. On top of all that, rude, argumentative, misleading. One of the worst experience ever. Possibly the worst. Would never buy from them. Period.

I placed an order for a scanner with a gift certificate using 2nd day air since I needed it quickly. Tiger Direct sent me an email on the day I was supposed to receive the scanner saying that they made a mistake and did not fulfill the order. A day or so later I received an email stating that they were mailing the scanner to my billing address (where no one was available to receive the order) and not to my shipping address as requested. They also shipped using regular mail, not 2nd day air!! I called and complained so they reshipped the item using expedited shipping to my shipping address. Luckily, I just received the scanner in time. Two weeks later I received a bill for the scanner, even though I used a gift certificate. I telephoned customer service and they said that my gift certificate was rejected. Tiger Direct did not do one thing right on this order. It has been a complete nightmare and I will never ever order from Tiger Direct again.

If you want to get a preview of alzheimers disease, contact Tiger direct with a problem. They either do not respond, or respond with an answer that has absolutely nothing to do with the request you have made. It may be that their service people are foreign and have only a limited grasp of English, or it may, and is more likely to be, that they are masters at the art of doublespeak. you know, like the guy with the finnegan pin interfering with his curniflow of the uptakes.
The result is that you are likely to give up trying to get them to hear you, and that is apparently fine with them. The sad part about TD is that they started out selling junk, then graduated to being a pretty good company, and have now gone back downhill. I would almost guarantee that there was a buy out, and a management change that took their service department off shore. The bottom line is that they now suck. |

I have purchased almost all my computer related products from Tigerdirect/Compusa. They have a great selection and even better prices.
I recently bought a mouse online because I wanted a specific older model that I have previously owned. I recieved the item and you can tell the package was opened and they have "doctored it up" to look new. I went to the site and gave a 5 star product review talking about the quality of the product and what I like about it. To vent my displeasure with their dishonesty about sending me an open box item when i paid for a brand new item, I added a second paragraph explaining the situation. Tigerdirect approved my review for their site, but took it upon themselves to edit my review and remove the negative comments i made about their dishonesty! I could forgive them for sending me an open package because the mouse works and looks like new. But after 2 incidents in a row and that type of dishonesty, I'm done with them. A pathetic way to do business. |

My husband and I are kicking ourselves for not reading the reviews of TigerDirect before we plunked down $350 dollars for a widescreen computer monitor. After 11 days, they won't ship, they won't cancel our order and they don't give us a bleeping refund!!
Similar reviews from Google checkout say it all. Someone was sent an empty box and they can't get a refund. Another person still hadn't received their refund after three months!! These people are liars. After canceling our order and waiting more than 24 hours for a purported refund, we were told that whoops, they were about to ship out items that very day (the day after we canceled our order) and they had to stop shipment so that's why we couldn't get out refund. They are full of promises and no action. What a crock! Avoid at ALL costs!! |

Absolutely terrible! Watch out, these guys have no scruples and do very shady things. My recent experience has been a disastrous one with the sales guy blatantly lying. NEVER will I buy anything from these crooks. I am convinced that these sales guys have no intention of resolving anything except just billing you.
Dell has a lawsuit against them, and so has the State Attorney of Florida. Look at their background in Wikipedia, and read other reviews. There is a pattern of behavior here - and it is not based on one lying salesman, but appears endemic to the company. Wish I had checked their background before ordering from them. Here is an opportunity that TigerDirect does provide - Real life experience of how you can be scammed ! Play with small dollar amount though, because you may lose it all. |

Bought a whole AMD set but had to replace the motherboard to get one that supports Crossfirex. The rep told me to buy a different board and he will cancel the ordder that I previously made. Upon checking my order status the next day, the board that was supposed to be canceled is due to arrive within the day. I tried calling but cant seem to get through and one time got the rep hung up on me. Next is the Replacement MOBO that i got. They already had my account info, my billing address and my shipping address which are 2 different locations. I called them this morning about it and the rep said that they cant do anything about it because the item has been shipped. So now I have to get the MOBO from my billing address which is around 2 hours away from my shipping address. So now I'm stuck with 2 AMD MOBOs one for SLI and one for Crossfire and I bought from TD an ATI Crossfire Graphics card already. First time buyer and the experience was and is still more than disappointing.

I purchased a $500 plus build it yourself computer bundle from TigerDirect that included an Asus P6H55-M LX motherboard. I have been very pleased with TigerDirect and Asus in the past but this time the Motherboard was not as advertized. TigerDirect's web site spec for this item says it includes an IDE header. Turns out only the LM version does. I informed TigerDirec of this error by e-mail, phone and their feedback form on-line. It's been over 3 weeks, I've RMA'd the board, and they still have not corrected their web site. I guess they just don't care how many items get returned at the customers expense. Next time I'll buy from NewEGG.

STAY AWAY!!! They will negatively impact your credit score. I tried to order a product from Tiger Direct only to be asked at the last minute to put in the last four digits of my social security number - "To validate my identity". Reluctantly I did and all of a sudden they had pulled my credit report and were asking me questions about my car. As you may or may not know, every time someone makes an inquiry on your credit report it actually lowers your credit score!!! I will never visit the site again.

TigerDirect is the worst worst worst place ever. I ordered a laptop that turned out to be DEFECTIVE. The video card was shoddy. When I tried to return/exchange it, I got the worst runaround I have ever experienced. I was first told via I could return it if I called customer service, who then told me that the warehouse might reject the return. I emailed and was told it'd be fine I would just need to request a return label, so I did.. then I was told that I needed to call customer service again. THEN I was told it was now past the 30 days and I was no longer able to return it. This is like a health insurance company or something, I swear. EVIL EVIL EVIL. DO NOT SHOP HERE unless you want bad merchandise that you cannot return!!!!!!!!!!!!!

VERY unhappy with shipping policy - wanted to order 2 day, would have been charged for 2 day. Estimated delivery was three days. Was told it would be three days due to the fact that the order was being drop shipped and would take 24 hours to process. The person I spoke with when I called to inquire about the 3 days did not care that I was unhappy and offered no help at all. Did not place order.

I know this is a long time after the fact, but I ordered for a friend a new monitor from Tiger Direct. Unfortunately, this was done a few days before 9/11. The product was never recieved, but the charge was made on the credit card. Multiple emails were sent to Tiger Direct, but they were not answered. A dispute was put in with the credit card. They contacted Tiger Direct, and then would not reverse the charge. My friend was out over $200, and never got the monitor OR the refund. They claim she received the item, but could provide no proof of this. I realize this was at a terrible time in our history, but I expected better service. I have NEVER ordered from Tiger Direct since then.

TigerDirect kept my order at "In Process - Your order is in process" for 2 weeks and when I called they said it was due to the item not being in stock! Um, can't they update the order status to something less misleading then?
They also told me that they had no plan of restocking this item! So why were they keeping my order "In Process" for 2 weeks then? Finally, EBILLME withdrew the full amount 2 days after I placed the order, even though there was no stock! This is a joke of course, the tigerdirect representative said that's EBILLME's fault, which may be true - not sure. But even ignoring the fact that they had charged me for more than 10 days without shipping the item, the fact that they didn't contact me when they knew the item wouldn't be restocked is totally unprofessional. |

HORRIBLE! Bait and switch. On the website, TigerDirect stated they had a particular Yamaha receiver IN STOCK. However, they SWITCHED the receiver and gave me an inferior model and claimed it was the same. TigerDirect did not even offer to give me anything else except a $20 credit for future purchases. I declined because I will NEVER buy from them again.

I ordered some items from tigerdirect.com. Their courier (UPS) claims through their tracking website that they were delivered tonight. They were not. A call to tigerdirect.com had me on hold for 15 minutes. When I told them the problem, the person said that they would "put a trace" on the shipment, but it would take 8-10 business days! They also accused me of trying to defraud them by lying about this problem. In fact, when I spoke to the supervisor, he was even worse, citing his 15 years experience. I guess his experience allows him to judge me a criminal by phone. They were extremely recalcitrant about trying to track down my order promptly. I believe that they are trying to defraud me. Why should it take 8-10 business days to trace this problem? I think the real reason is that they want to clear the credit card payment to ensure that they can say "sorry" later if the shipment cannot be found. That's real sleazy.

I had an item in my shopping cart and was in the process of checking out when their web site let someone else buy the item even though it was in my cart! I made several calls to customer support, and they say that their system let's people steal from each other's cart. The people at TigerDirect and their parent company, Systemax, were very rude and could care less about my concern. Other websites have clearly stated policies in this regard: for example, that the item will stay in your cart for X minutes before it's allowed to return to inventory for others to purchase. With TigerDirect, they rely on chaos. Other sites have this figured out... TigerDirect should warn people about this problem in their web site!

Worst on-line retailer I ever saw. I regularly order from the internet and have never had a problem. I order a DS game for my son from Tiger direct.
The game came the case had no shrink wrap, had a posted with some return number and the games was missing. I send it back and called customer service several times. They keep telling me I didn't return the game so they can't exchanged it. I explained on 4 separate occassion that it came empty. Still no game. If they can't make good on a 20 dollar game I can't see buying anything of substance from them. Skip them they are theives. |
