I was easily able to find what I needed at the right price. A very good description and even a copy of the manual was listed on the item page which was very helpful when deciding if this is what I wanted. A listing of reviews by others was also very helpful. One can't go wrong with that much information available on one site.
 
 I opted to go with the lower cost shipping. It took a couple days before my order was shipped. I had two items ordered and they were shipped separately. One was scheduled to be delivered a day later than the first, but both packages arrived together and sooner than I expected. Optics Planet provided shipping information and tracking info. Overall good experience. I would definitely use Optics Planet again in the future.

Delivery speed:  good.  One item was not in stock at the time I ordered, but Optics Planet got it in and shipped about 10 days later, which was fine -- I understood that it was not in stock. 


Order accuracy:  good.  I received what I ordered. 

Customer service:  n/a.  I did not contact Optics Planet staff directly.  However, I do appreciate the email updates on shipping. 


Overall satisfaction:  good.  I have, in fact, ordered products from Optics Planet since this order.

An initial search for the product type (a weather forecaster) using Google highlighted the one I eventually ordered through Optics Planet.  The description of the device at Optics Planet's website helped me to decide that this was an excellent replacement for the older device I had that failed.  The description was clear and, as it turned out, very accurate.  Initially I had been searching for another product from the company that made my failed product, but I was able to do additional research of the recommended product, including making comparisons to other similar products, and made my choice based on what appeared to be the best description of features.  It clearly was a superior product and Optics Planet offered the best price.  The device arrived in very short order.  I was immediately struck by the accuracy of what I found Optics Planet.  The entire experience of shopping with Optics Planet Online was stellar.  I wouldn't hesitate to order something else through this company.  Their followup was most helpful, letting me know when it was shipped, how it was shipped, when to expect delivery, and following up afterward to make sure I was happy.

Shipping takes WAAAAAAAY  too long. 1. The order sits in your que for 3-4 days.  2. You ship by a combo of FEDEX plus USPS, which adds 2-3 days.
What took nearly two weeks to get, should've only taken 3-4 days total.

My item was backordered, and they kept me posted of its status almost daily. when it arrived an item was defective so I called and the young man was very helpful and got my issue taken care of very quickly. The Nikon EFR is a great scope for my little CZ. It makes easy work of evil Coke cans at 100 yards. I can even reach out to 200 yards when the wind doesn't kick up to much amd make me read the drift to hard. The one thing I had a hard time with was flip up lens covers are hard to deal with due to the rubberized adj objective and eye piece ... the bikini lense cover works better than the flip ups I have tried.

As to Optics Planet service in the current crazy/panic market, the online inventory was correct as "in stock", the order was processed in better time than most currently, it was packed a little loose for my tastes on shipping a scope but arrive safe and sound in less than a week ON FREE SHIPPING!

Optics Planet is one of a few online stores that is up to date and does not play around. They do what they say and I trust them with my business.

After much searching the web for a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50 FFP Rifle scope with EBR-1 MOA Reticl, I decided to buy it from Optics Planet an that was a great choice.  The price was the best I found with the shipping they provided.  The scope was shipped very quickly and tracking was provided..I recomend Optics Planet for all you needs..great business and I'll be using them again

The Ray-ban sunglasses I received had 2 red ink dots on the lenses.  I could not remove the dots with optical cleaner so I requested an RMA to return the glasses.  They sent the RMA via email but no return shipping label.  This required 2 more phone conversations with Optics Planet customer service to get them to send a pre-paid return shipping label.  The second person I spoke with suggested I use alcohol to try to remove the ink dots.  This is an absolute no-no according to Ray-ban and I told him there is no way I was going to do this.  This product was obviously used and I was not happy with the return hassle.   I purchased the glasses elsewhere and for less money also.

I ordered my holster and light in November from Optics Planet.Initially was advised the light was in stock but holster was not. Instead of shipping the light, they waited for both to be ready. Holster was ready in January, Light was at that point backordered. Was told i would recieve it in February, then first part of March, finally recieved the product in late March. Product is great, will not buy again from optics planet, will pay more to have it when i need it.

This appears to be a very well made shell pouch and service from o.p. was great as usual. Would like to see even more Boyt products. The item was shipped a little late because it was not in stock but came in about a week later and was shipped right on out. Not a major problem. I also purchased a 50 inch shotgun case that matchs the pouch with a pocket on the case for an extra barrel. At this time I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Optics Planet has been a fast and reliable shipper in the 4 experiences I've had. Had to return a product twice - product defect not Optics Planet- good service on refund and re-ship. I did pay freight for the returns, using USPS home pickup. Optics Planet sent me a UPS label via email which I did not use however I do not believe it was pre-paid freight.

I've ordered from OP before.  My experiences have always been positive.   My previous orders and this last one have always been filled accurately and were delivered quickly.   In the last order, I ordered two scopes, kept the one  I liked best, and returned the other one.   The credit to my credit card was handled quickly and accurately.   I find OP's website very easy to navigate and also enjoy the wide selection of available products.

Terrible!!! I will NOT be ordering from Optics Planet again. I ordered a flashlight in January & finally received it in March. I received an incorrect one in February & when I called to let them know I was told that it was the correct one. It was clear that it was not. I was told to send it back & then they would send me the correct one. This cost me over $12 to ship back. I received another email stating that the correct flashlight had been shipped & unless they heard from me they would consider the order complete. After calling again I was told that the correct one still had not been shipped to me even though the email stated that it was shipped. I received at least 10 emails from Optics Planet from beginning to end, & I talked to them on the phone & finally received the correct flashlight this month. I was very disatisfied. The speed, order accuracy, customer service, & overall satisfaction was extremely poor.

When I initially placed the order, (around $240) there was a charge on my bank account that "held" the money, then when the order was shipped the real charge came through...
My bank did not release the "hold" on the money for about 5 business days afterwards so essentially I was charged almost $500 for 5 days for a $240+ dollar order.
I have ordered many items online over the years and have never experienced this before...it was frustrating and confusing to say the least and when I asked your customer service reps about it they were not very sympathetic...exasperated sighs were the general response.

I have been ordering from Optics Planet for a couple years now and I would guess they have fulfilled a dozen or a few more orders in that time. Each time I have found pricing to be very competitive and often lowest. On the few occasions I have had reason to speak with someone they have been courteous, friendly and most helpful. Shipping is between reasonably fast to very prompt.
In the event you need to return an item, Optics planet has a good return policy and does not make you jump through a bunch of hoops to return an item. They seem to want your business enough to take care of the customer after the sale is made and then some by providing great customer service in the event you have a problem or simply do not like the item you ordered.  I would rate Optics Planet an easy 4.5 out of 5 stars and I am fairly picky. Would I order from them again? Definitely! Do I recommend them? Absolutely!
