Good product but poor service - Scratch and Dent Sales

I placed my first order with Northline Express for a Coal/Pellet bucket whish is a very nice high quality unit however the base was dented and the top rim has paint chips missing. I have attempted 2 times to contact via email and both have gone unanswered. Althought the unit is usable a reply would have been nice. Clearly this is a garage sale dealer in seconds or scratch and dent units.

I will not be using this site again, one poor experience is enough, pay a few dollars more and find a first rate shop.

Dispiriting

Initially, they were helpful in getting my order delivered to me on time.  But when I had a problem with their goods, they were completely unresponsive.  Don't trust their "generous" return policy.  The cost of your return shipping might well exceed the cost
of the goods.  You would do well to buy elsewhere.

no help with stove when needed, NONE!!

Intitial service was good along with price,  problem came with use of the stove, simply didn't burn near as long as claimed nor did it heat a space less than one half of what was claimed. Stove was in cabin in northern part of state and little used and by the time it was needed and it's inadequate performace became apparent Northline claimed it was too late to do anything.  My opinion of them is very poor, their description was at best wrong and at worst a blatant lie and they didn't stand behind product at all.  Be wary of doing business with these folks

Their response to e-mails was very prompt however false.  I asked about a $150.00 discount coupon, even gave the coupon code, and received an e-mail response that it never exsisted and offered a $10.00 discount instead (on a $712.00 item).

I called and was told yes the $150.00 coupon did exsist but that it was issued in error and they would not honor it.

Found another supplier on line with a very slighly higher price but much better more plesant service.

Tried to order an item online, got kicked out of the system, called to talk to customer service, because my bank showed a pending payment.  They could not find an order, promised to call me right back "after checking with the IT guy".  Had not called after 4 hrs, called again, was told rep was out to lunch, due right back, that was 1 1/2 hrs ago, still no call.  THIS IS STARTING OUT VERY BADLY!!  Reading the other comments, I am very sorry I ordered from them.

Buyer Beware!

We ordered an item from them, and were promised a two business day shipping. After making multiple calls to their less than helpful customer service, we were informed that the item was backordered and would be several more weeks before it could be delivery. Unfortunately we live in Ohio and this piece is critical to our primary heat source functioning- end result, we have no heat in Ohio due to thier misrepresentation. I would NEVER purchase through them again.

Horrible

The Solaire "Anywhere" grill was purchased along with a boat rail mount which was over $150. While the grill seems to be satisfactory, the mount is a total disappointment. It was shipped with mounting screws that were the wrong size, and the instructions were not even for the unit I purchased. It seems they are using off the shelf boat parts  and with slight modifications are trying to make this mount work. It will not support the weight of the grill and will break off with the smallest waves. Their engineering dept. agreed the bolts were the wrong type and size but said they didn't want to go through the expense of buying the correct ones. Seems this would have been about a .60 cost to correct one of many errors on this unit.

NEVER AGAIN ! WORST RETURN POLICY

My worst online purchasing experience yet. I have ordered large expensive items online, for years. I have sucessfully purchased items through Ebay sellers.  For some reason THIS company cant get it right.  The product is nice, the shipping is good but the return policy is a nightmare.  The fireplace doors I purchased using their door sizing calculator dont fit.  Well, it happens right?  These guys are making me pay the return freight, pay back the free shipping they gave me and pay a 20% re-stocking fee.  The glass doors were $509.00, shipping both ways is $375, restocking fee is $100.  In order to exchange these doors they are going to deduct $475 dollars from the $509 dollars I paid.  So I will receive $25 dollar refund and an important lesson about where NOT to shop.  If you dont believe me look at their return policy (link at bottom of their website.  My advice to you DONT BUY FROM THEM, ITS NOT WORTH IT.

I had a wonderful shopping experience with Northline Express. I purchased Duravent stove pipe and everything was priced well, arrived SUPER FAST, and in good condition. They gave me tracking numbers for all the pieces I ordered, and they answered all my emails very quickly too. Customer service was also good.

I ordered a napoleon 1400p wood stove. I received a 1100p to start, and with paper work of a 1400p.( bait and switch) Also i had to wait  two months for the stove door. Broken bricks that were never replaceed.

Terrible experience with this company. I ordered grill with the delivery date within 1-2 business days from the placing of order (do not believe their web page about availability). It did not arrive (no information about possible delivery date. Nothing). After MONTH I got e-mail that they shipped my grill without any notification. After I asked customer service why nobody contacted with me about shipping, they informed me that the e-mail was sent to me about all the delay. I checked all the e-mails and there was nothing like that. I checked my server and same situation. And the grill arrived in quite bed shape. They do not care about dates and customers. Customer service not reliable. They basically want to bill your CC. Thats all.

My experience shopping with Northline Express was horrible. I first tried to place the order on line, but was kicked out of the ordering system. I phoned in the order and the customer service agent got my mailing address wrong. The item was delivered damaged & late (because of the wrong address). When I called to report the damage, I was told that I had somehow made a mistake inputting my address. I finally got a replacement, but it, too, was damaged (and sent to the wrong address, again). I cancelled my order, and Northline sent a slip to pick up one (but not the other) of the damaged items (also sent to the wrong address). So, now I'm stuck with a large item that is damaged beyond use and have to pay for its disposal by myself.
In short, Northline couldn't get my address right after three tries, even after I asked them to correct it three times! I couldn't get an undamaged product, and the customer service was awful and rude. DO NOT shop at this company!

Nothing wrong with Northline - but I have been struggling for weeks to get the product itself working. The manufacturer's tech-support claims the machine's mechanism is especially sensitive to a variety of conditions - cool weather or a less-than-perfect gas tank - which makes a flawless start-up highly unlikely. Northline should know that Mosquito Magnet Pro is not a consumer-friendly product.

Order received missing a major part....

Order received missing a major part. The carton had been opened to place additional ordered items inside the carton then resealed instead of shipping additional items seperately. I had to contact the manufacturer to obtain the missing part after being referred from Northline Express. I have the distinct feeling of getting the run-around. I don't even know if this thing will operate as I haven't received the missing part from the manufacturer.
