This place is the worst place on the entire internet to buy Apple products from. Apple should be ashamed.

After 10 hrs plus of phone calls in regards to processing my order, The sales reprsentative confirmed that he would match a price match i requested with Amazon.com A week later after recieving no refund on the difference, I called back to be informed that he would take care of it right away.

The next day i recieved an email saying that they are not going to price match and that no refund will be issued.

I will be filing a complaint with my credit card company for fraud.

This whole transaction for a macbook air took about 20-30 hrs of my time and 22 phone calls.

I buy $20,000 in product online yearly and have not ever had such manipulative unresponsible sellers.

Dishonest and Misleading - Scammed me out of $200 in products

As I was completing my purchase I was first given the option of selecting add-ons for my MacBook. I selected some add-ons (by changing selection from "none" to a LaCie external hard disk, for example). When my order arrived, NO hard disk and NO Apple TV that I added on! When I called customer service they gave me some lame excuse by saying that because the item in the selection was $0 they did not include the add-ons. Then why make those options seemingly "available"? This is very dishonest and misleading. Almost like a... scam.

Horrible, Awful, Reprehensible, Frustrating, Offensive

Horrible experience. Customer service is non-existent. I ordered a product that was not compatible with my system. When I called Customer Service to effect a return, the phones are answered by people whose tertiary language - at best - is English - in some god-forsaken third world country. I received zero satisfaction. When asked if I could speak to someone in the US (whose primarly language is English), I was told all customer service is done "off shore." They were rude and borderline morons. You know the Discover Card commercial - "Hello, my name is 'Peggy,'" well, that was my experience with MacMall. When you can't speak to someone in this country about a problem and you get no satisfaction from "Peggy," then it''s time to look elsewhere for products. I have purchased a number of items from them in the past - but never again. HORRIBLE!

Falsely claim in stock

Selling under their subsidiary brand OnSale falsely claimed item was in stock and took a large number of orders, then for 4 days did not answer phone calls or emails, then cancelled order. Terrible customer service. Standard internet bait and switch.

Scamed on Rebates. Dishonest customer service.

I have been waiting for three Rebates from MacMall since March 2011 and it is the middle of August 2011. I have talked to 4 differnt people in Customer Service and each time they say it is mailed. The last 2 weeks I have been working with a Supervisor he has promised to get it done. He has called back with promised mailing and given dates and that he would followup. He Promised it was in the mail and I would receive it two days ago and that he would call and follow up. I haven't heard from him and nothing has arrived. 5 months and $130.00 promised. Now I'm turning it over to the Lawyer.

I ordered something for my friend and want to ship it to her place.
They kept harrassing me to verify this and verify that. The whole verification process takes over a week. AT the end, they even made me to change my billing address to my friend's place before they are willing to go ahead and process my order.

SO SO SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't order from them anymore.

Not Recommended: disingenuous customer support

They sold an incomplete box of Wacom Intuos4 Small, with a missing cable. They argued on phone for 30 minutes that the box they sold me was complete and didn't miss anything. After I told them to look at the instruction booklet where they list the package contents, they switched their argument to "they can't do anything about it." I'll call the manufacturer for help, but I definitely do not recommend MacMall, especially when there are tons of alternatives online.

Macmall rebates are a trick, don't fall for it

I have several positive experiences shoppin at Macmall but every time there is a rebate issue there is a problem. There advertised prices are pretty much a lie. Once you get the item and apply for a rebate, there are so many rules that you either have to send the item back, which is a pain or forget about the rebate.  Customer service gives you the run around. Its not worth it.

First Time. Never Again.

MacMall called after I sent my order to tell me they were cancelling the order becasue the manufacturer no longer made the item they had up on their web page. When I got the cancellation notice, the AMOUNT TOTAL was less than the origianl total they put on my order confrmation. Since I had been reimburesed by my firm for the order and then had to return the reimbursement, the origianl order confrimation and the cancelation confrimation needed to match. It was worse than pulling teeth to try to get someone to understand that, even though I had not been charged on my card, I needed the paperwork to match so it did not look like I was trying to pull something dishonest. Thanks MacMall for making it so much more difficult to NOT get an item

I ordered a monitor from them, only to find out it was backordered and wouldn't be shipping for a month, it was my fault, I failed to check to see if it was in stock, I called, asked for my order to be canceled, and they did not give me any hassle about it, very professional.

Ordered Macbook Pro July 27, told would receive Aug 2. Didn't happen.Called Mac Mall and  received many contradictory and conflicting statements.  Oh, and several lies.Outsourced, accents an issue, but not nearly as much as the deceit this company practices.English does not have an adequate number of derogatory  adjectives to describe this company.Avoid, buy elsewhere.  Save yourself oodles of frustration.

So, I've been waiting a month for a product that was labeled as in stock when I ordered. After numerous Phone calls and e-mails they tell me its out, but will be in by the end of the week. This has been going on for a month. Do not recommend. Pay the extra $50 and buy stuff elsewhere.

Day 1 I ordered a Blu Ray Player for Next Day Delivery. Received Confirmation Email and Next Day they had no record of the Order #
Day 2 I reordered again with NExt Day Delivery and received a confirmation Email.  Checked Status of order and it showed Backordered.  I called Customer Service and they assured me it was being shipped from a "sister" warehouse.   5 hours later when status still showed backordered I called again and received same promise of being delivered by a "sister" warehouse and I would receive an email confirming that.  Day 3 Status still backordered even though web site still shows In Stock Ships Same Day.  I called and received answer they were not able to find one.  I never received an email as promised either.   I requested a supervisor and they could not find one.  I have been promised the supervisor would call me when they came in.    Will That happen??     Very Doubtful!!

First and last time buying from MacMall. Website carried a discontinued drive but did not label it as such, nor were the specs listed on the MacMall site. Drive arrived with specifications that did not match current manufacturer's specs. MacMall wanted an additional restocking fee to take back the drive.

Poor communication

In order to get engraving on multiple ipods, you need to place separate orders at MacMall. This can create credit card billings with the same amount. I was sent two differently worded emails, not from MacMall directly but from pcmall, that looked like phishing attempts. After several days, my emailed questions directly to MacMall about these emails were finally returned. They required phone calls to confirm orders. After several days runaround, I was not interested in dealing with them and canceled the orders.
- Good prices
- Clear website
- Bad order fulfillment
- Strange email communication
- Slow follow up

Rebate is a Scam

Don’t fall for the $100 rebate! It’s a scam! They sent me a form letter stating their records show that I don’t qualify for the rebate. They don’t say WHY, just that I don’t qualify. I guess that when you purchase a laptop from them, send them a copy of the receipt they sent you, and fill out the paperwork, you still don’t “qualify”
Why else would they offer a rebate then a direct $100 discount? Think about it. What cost their company more; to deal with the paperwork or to give out the discount directly.

Hi all,

This is the first time that I wanted write a review for a website because I had a terrible experience on it and I want everbody to be informed.

I ordered a cell phone battery on Macmall's website. However I received a cell phone carrying case. I called the customer service and waited for more than 15 min. They told me that I had to send it back by Fedex and reorder. I went to Fedex with the return form they sent me and the office that I went said that they were unable to send a return package, that I had to go to anoter Fedex office whixh was ten miles away. I went there and sent the item back. After a week Macmall refund me but they did not cover the delivery charge which cost me $6.

Finally, I have to say that, this is a very low class website which gives you a good impression at first. I wasted too much time and money on it.

Getting your rebate is a nightmare!

I very thoroughly researched the MacBook Pro I wanted, and began the hunt to find the best price on it.  MacMall had the lowest price (because it didn't charge me sales tax), so I went with them.  However, I had to be very careful, because they are totally unclear in the product listing if I was getting the latest release or the older one!

Before ordering, however, I wish that I had red the customer reviews FIRST.  It has been a total waste of time trying to get the DEAL I expected.  3 of the 5 rebate forms would not download, which amounts to $140, assuming I even get the other two in the mail... I'll be waiting a while for them.

To add insult to injury, their customer service AND technical support phone number disconnect you EVERY TIME you go through the menu.  No telling how long I must wait to get an email back from them.

I would NOT recommend MacMall to anyone!  I don't think they are honest.  Just purchase your Mac directly from Apple.  Save yourself the hassle, I BEG you!

MacMall tries to avoid paying rebates until confronted

MacMall tries to avoid paying rebates. Last year the rebates didn't arrive [they are promised in 2 to 6 weeks]and it took several calls till they were paid nearly 3 months late. I complained and they promised that things had changed and to give them another try. I did and bought a MacBook this year. They rejected the rebates as arriving 1 day late [postmarked 3/24 21days from the shipping date they claimed was 3/3]. I showed them an email from them to me on 3/3 stating they couldn't ship the order till I called them to verity some irregularity, which I did on 3/4. So the order was shipped on 3/4 at the earliest. Caught in their lie, they agreed to the rebates which will now take 7 to 14 additional days. But they wouldn't agree till I threatened to report them to the Better Business Bureau. I will not shop there again. Avoid this place.

Horrible experiences with this company. As a new customer I validated my credit card online with Visa, as my bank requires. This company billed my card and refused to ship the order until they "obtained additional information" because I was a new customer. They asked for my previous billing address information and a number to call my bank to verify my identity. This sounded fishy to me and I told them it was not going to happen. I further explained that they verified my shipping address with Visa when they put the order thru. After explaining this to a supervisor, she assured me that the order would be sent out today and they would call my bank with the info they already had. My bank refused to give any information, just as they are supposed to. MacMall called me twice attempting to do a conference with my bank. Each time the rep lost my bank and then expected me to call them and conference in MacMall. This whole thing sounds like an attempt to steal confidential information or worse, commit fraud. I immediately called and cancelled my order, as they had no plans to ship or complete it.

Bad news, stay away.

I have been buying from MacMall for at least 10 years now.

At first many years ago they were great, the people on the phone were sharp and clear. Customer Service too was outstanding.

Well thanks to outsourcing and dumbing down the workforce, now you get someone in the Phillipenes who can barely speak English, doesn't know what they are talking about, and if you need to call them back it's usually between the hours of 7pm and 3am Pacific time - or leave a message and nobody will call you back.

Now we are left with a bunch of idiots who read descriptions on a screen and sound as dumb as they are, ask for a supervisor and you will be told that they are on the phone and not available.

Returns and rebates follow suite.

The long and short is go somewhere else and you can do just as well, because you couldn't do any worse!

Try NewEgg, not perfect but better.

I spent close to $10,000. Got the products, thankfully they all worked. However Customer service sucked, long waits on the phone and had to jump through rebate hell. Promised rebate 3 months later no rebates. My phone now read 10 min. of waiting. I call at least once a month, trying to get this cleared. Terrible experience. Never again.

Sent Wrong Item

Everything went well until I received the order. I ordered a Vizio 37" LCD TV model ...

VX37L10AR (R being for Refurbished I imagine)

I received the...

VX37L - an older model with 25% slower response time and older technology.

So, now I am forced to swallow their error or be troubled by the inconvenience\cost of their return policy. It is like going to McDonalds and ordering a double cheeseburger and receiving a single cheeseburger.

Delivery speed doesn't exist. When I ordered my MacBook Pro they told me it would ship in 7 to 10 days, since it was backordered.. After two weeks I called and they said it would ship in another week, it was still backordered.. After 8 days I called and they said it would ship in another week. Eight days later I called and got the same line--it will ship in a week since it was still backordered. I then got a letter from them stating that it was backordered and they had no idea when it would ship. So, the "it will ship in one week" line was an outright lie. Sorry, I don't do business with liars. Cancel order.
