FTD doesn't deliver and has terrible customer service

I ordered flowers for my wife to be delivered on Valentine's day. The flowers were never delivered. I tried to call their customer support and after a very long time on hold I got sick of hearing the recording that says, please contact us through our web site support. So I gave up with the phone and submitted a request for support through their website.
The support request was supposed to be answered within 48 hours. So I waited. And waited. Way after 48 hours, there was still no reply. So I tried to call support again and finally I got through to someone. He was not very apologetic and didn't really offer to do anything other than deliver the flowers the next day. He couldn't even try to expedite the delivery for that day to try to make up for the fact that the order was already many days AFTER Valentine's day?! In the future, I will just go to a local florist directly so that I can make sure that my order is delivered on time and is what I expect it to be. FTD doesn't make the process cheaper and it definitely makes it more problematic. Dave |

I ordered flower for same day delivery and did order prior to the stated deadline. The next day I spoke to the intended recipient - NO FLOWERS. I called FTD - was told the "truck went out without my order". Was promised an upgrade and another attempt to delivery on Monday (The flowers were to be delivered initially on Firday). On Sunday I rec'd an email alerting me to the fact that I must contact customer service as there was a "problem". The service rep told me the florist refused to do the upgrade for the additional money FTD offered them and rejected the order.
At that point I just cancelled and requested a refund. More frustration than it was worth - this is my second FTD order - and it's my last. The ONLY reason I used them was because I could not get through to the local florist I wanted to use. NEVER AGAIN, FTD! |

What a horrible, horrible experiance! I just wanted to have flowers delivered to my girlfriend. FTD took my order and my money. When the flowers were never recieved, I tried contacting FTD with 3 requests through their web-site, 4 email requests, and spend more than 8 hours on-hold on the phone. THREE DAYS LATER, I was finally able to speak with someone in customer service that adminitted the order was never placed because they couldn't find a florist. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! They offered me a downgraded UPS delivery 5 days late as a consolation. I had to scream on the phone to get a refund.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my wife on Valentine's Day. Needless to say - they never came. I was mad, and my wife was disappointed. What kind of floral business cant manage to make a flower delivery on Valentine's Day? I will never use this website again .. and neither should anyone else.

FTD is the worst!!!
I placed an order of roses for my girlfriend to be delivered on Valentines day. They never got to her house. I called and e-mailed FTD for a status update and kept getting they were out for delivery. Even this morning I tried to find out what happened with my order and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. The operator could only tell me that my order would be delivered today (day after)with no possibility of a discount or refund. This was truly the worst experience I have ever had and hope by giving this review no one will have to go through the same. |

I ordered from FTD.com for the first and last time for Valentines day. They only brought my wife a vase with 5 roses in it and this is what i ordered and paid for (1 week in advance).

So, my Valentines day order for my wife was totally screwed up. Instead of a big colorful arrangement with 18 roses and other flowers that I ordered I got something chintzy with 6 roses and a few tulips.
Reaching customer service was an ordeal of long waits and dropped calls. Then I finally got to a person who was clearly overseas and was very hard to understand (and I did not like being called "Mr. Mark" when Mark is my first name). I did after much back and forth and insultingly low offers to start get the full charge reversed but it was not a pleasant experience and I do not intend to use FTD ever again. |

They just blow out my Valentine's day ... It's 9:53PM and my wife didn't receive the flowers that I bought for her at this junk website called http://www.ftd.com this is far from a good service. I'm more than 25min with the Customer Service on the line and NOBODY answer my call, this is not acceptable at all. I'll never recommend this website even to my worsthy enemy.

They only get 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. I placed my order on 2/1 for Valentine's Day, way in advance. They were told to deliver to the school my gf works at between 8-3. Guess what...never delivered.
Their customer service is atrocious, kept me on hold forever and hung up on me twice. It is at the point where I cannot cancel my order yet they didn't deliver on time (or at all so far). An email has been sent to corporate, BUYER BEWARE. Use 1800-Flowers or any other florist, stay far far away from FTD. |

I ordered flowered delivered for the birth of our grand-daughter. Was guaranteed same day delivery. They never arrived and when I phoned FTD to find out what happened all they said was "ok, you want to cancel your order?" No apology, no explanation, nothing. When I asked what had gone wrong the lady said, "I dunno, maybe the florist didn't have the right flowers..." HUH??!! What about substitutions, what about letting me know. Do not use FTD! Terrible customer service.

The 1st time was good then the honeymoon was over. Second time the flowers looked old when they arrived and were wilted within a few days. I'm not sure why I was stupid enough to use them again but I guess for convenience I did. Send a Christmas arrangement to my wife's office in December and when she opened it most of the flowers were broken from the stems and lying in the bottom of the box. Even if the flowers had been intact the arrangement was about half the size that I would have expected. I email them immediately and they responded that they would send a replacement. I replied that my wife's office was closed for two weeks and that they needed to get them there within tow days or not until 1/3/12. I never got a response but when my wife returned to work there were multiple delivery slips starting the 1st day the office was closed. Of course they delivered them on 1/3/12 and by them the flowers were brown. I've finally learned my lesson, I'll never use FTD.com again!

I was trying to order flowers for a friend who just had a baby and after selecting what I wanted they said they didn't have that item in that area and they gave 9 options to select from, so I ordered one of them and today 24 hrs later they sent an email saying they were not able to deliver because they didn't have those flowers in that location, and I needed to change my order again. I didn't see the email until 8 hrs later and no I ordered on the phone again they say they will deliver tomorrow because now is too late. I wonder why they never called me to tell me that.

Horrible service. I ordered flowers on Dec 5 for a funeral in Finland for delivery on Dec 8 and have as of today, Dec 9, have received NO confirmation of delivery and despite my four calls over the last two days, and assurances that I would receive an e-mail confirmation on delivery, I have not. Now FTD responders tell me that the whole system is down and that they can't bring up any orders or tell me anything. This is the WORST service imaginable. I don't know if I should demand a refund since I have no idea of where the flowers are. And to be given false assurances is even worse.

I received a delivery of flowers. What they didn't deliver was the dynamite to open it. After struggling for about 20 min., I finally got it open. It had been left at my front door. I had been away from home for about 4 hours. I don't know what time it was left. Inside, with the flowers was a small box of chocolates. These were melting. The "cooling device" that was in the package had warmed up.
While I wondered who had sent the gift...I looked & looked...couldn't find any card or note saying who this was from. I don't think I'd use this service, even with the 15% discount! |

As the end of the day approached with no delivery, I contacted customer service for a second time, and was told the same story again. I now have received a delivery confirmation email, but there are still no flowers. And I have been billed.

The picture on the website was not representative of the item we received. The bouquet was much smaller than pictured and I had upgraded to the 'best' available item. The picture had tulips included in the bouquet. I understood the substitution policy, but my wife's favorite flower is the tulip and the item was purchased as an anniversary gift. When I called the customer service line, they simply quoted the substitution policy and offered me a 15% coupon!
#1 The prices are probably 15% higher than most local flower delivery companies. #2 Why would I want to purchase another item from them after such a major disappointment? |

The flowers from FTD were very expensive when considering what you get. I ordered an Anniversary bouquet today and I paid extra to upgrade the flowers to the "best" category (More flowers, larger bouquet). When they arrived I was very disappointed. It was a very small arrangement (I spent over $100). I will not order from them again.
The only positive note, they came through on my same-day delivery request. Go to your local grocery store and you will probably find comparable flowers for a third of the price. |

I ordered an arrangement for my mother's 7oth birthday. They called at almost noon the day of the delivery and said the florist couldn't do it. WHAT???? When I asked why the site let me make the purchase then, I received the "generic" apologies they so readily provide. Although I appreciate the phone call, it was too late at that point to order anything new from anywhere else. I will not be doing buisness with them again. This is my second problem with an online service, last time it was 1-800-flowers with the WORST customer service ever. From now on I will call the florists directly-so far that has been successful!

FTD is terrible and a real Bait and switch, the pictures look great and what you get is a poor shadow of the picture on their site! They show big tulips, big full size dazies and roses and in reality, I had to hunt for them they were so SMALL, the other flower were small and very old.... they did replace it ,AFTER 45 min. on hold, but, it was only a tiny bit better.... still not like the picture at ALL small flowers and old!
The tulips were so tiny I thought they were not there!! I really had to hunt for them! A real rip! I sent my mother in law FTD from Groupon for Mother's Day, I bet they were bad too, she did not want to tell me!! That is how FTD gets away with this bull! I ordered flowers for mothers day through FTD.com since i had a $25 off coupon, they accepted the coupon on one screen showing me one price to pay, when i clicked submit order, the next screen popped up showing a totally different price with no coupon. My credit card was charged the higher price and no one from customer service can help me, stay away from FTD as they are crooked, you cant state one price then charge another, it can't be legal

I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's day and they were never delivered. When I called to inquire I was told "sorry, I can give you 10% off of your order" which amounted to a lame $9.30. They said they would deliver them the day AFTER Mother's Day and again, no flowers. This time they said they'd give me $20 off. I declined because if they couldn't get it right the second day I don't imagine they could on the third. I will never use them again.
