NEVER USE THIS SITE! Ecampus.com is a bunch of scammers. my book was a week late and they charged me 233$ for it! so now i am going to get overdraft fees for a week! use bookrenter.com instead they are much better with customer service.

DISGUSTING COMPANY STAY AWAY!!!!

They will charge you over list price for the book if you do not return it on time EVEN IF YOU CONTACT THEM!!!  I contacted expressing that I had a delay in returning the book, ECampus rep stated if returned by specified date would be ok.  Two days later recieved an email stating if returned by that same date I would recieve 75% of the $240 they charged my card for the non-returned book!!  Book wasn't even $240 new!!  Book wasn't new it was very used ($146.11 for used book on site), and I did not get any warning regarding this charge, they emailed me AFTER they had already charged me for it!!  DON"T BUY OR RENT FROM ECAMPUS!!!!!  I have filed a complaint with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and the Attorney General's office regarding this matter as every attempt to resolve it with ECampus was met with auto reply emails and hang ups with customer service.  Its only a coincidence to get "disconnected" once maybe twice, however four times!!!  They just don't want to talk to me because they know what they have done is unethical!!!

Frustrated and dissatisfied

Avoid this company at all costs!  Not realizing that they are just a middle man, I could have saved so much time and headache. First of all the book did take a really long time to arrive. Then, when needing to return the book, I was given the run around. I had to contact the seller directly via email but never heard back from them. Then, I contacted ecampus trying to get help from them in getting in touch with the seller and was given a standard reply that did not address my quesions/concerns.

Customer service is horrible. Just pay the extra and go with a reputable book seller. Stay away from ecampus.com!

misrepresented Book and Poor customer service

I purchased a book from them had a picture of the book and never stated it was a loose leaf version which is what I received. Contacted customer service and was told to bad your fault it says unspecified binding somewhere on there and that means our sellers (stated they are just a middle man) can send any version of binding including no binding. Told me I could return if I paid shipping, restock fee and insurance and they also recommended signature confirmation or I may not receive my partial refund at all.

Well-pleased with experience

I am currently a college student and ordered my books from ecampus.com. They said I would receive my books in about 10 business days, and I actually got one earlier than expected. The rest I didn't receive until about two weeks, but I called customer service and they worked everything out to help my situation so I could get my books on time for classes. Overall, I had a good experience with ecampus.com because of the customer service and the low price for renting textbooks. Good job.

Shipping takes forever!

It was quite easy to find my book online, HOWEVER I chose the option to have my book shipped within 1-2 business days. My book arrived this morning, so it was 5-6 business days late. I am very unimpressed with your shipping system and I will expect a full refund for the $14.00 that I completely wasted.

Never Again!

I used ecampus.com for the first time this semester and it was an incredibly frustrating experience topped off with poor customer service. The law book I ordered 3 weeks ago has yet to arrive. Although the website says it will ship in 5-7 business days, it took 8 for them to ship out my item and, as stated above, I 've yet to receive it (via UPS).

With my first assignment coming due, I had to buy the book from the law school bookstore. I contacted ecampus.com 3 days ago to let them know I'd be returning the book once it arrived and argued that I should not have to pay the 10% restocking fee (that's 20 bucks on my $200 book!). I just received a response from a customer service rep saying that I am still subject to the restocking fee. Now that's poor customer service! I will not use ecampus.com ever again.

Right book, bad information, horrible website.

I received the book that I ordered in a timely manner, however it did not contain the access code that I needed for my class and I could have gotten the book for a lot less WITH the access code elsewhere!  The website is HORRIBLE and locked up everytime I tried to login to my account to check the status of my order.  Overall, not very impressed and will not shop here again.

I just rented a textbook for my summer class from eCampus.com and it was a great experience. Renting instead of buying the book saved me a ton of money and the shipping speed was very quick. The process was very easy to go through and my book showed up a few days later. Great Experience

I have ordered from ecampus twice now.  The only thing they managed to get right was my order.  The first time I got my book it was in terrible condition.  The binding of the book was taped!  I called and explained that the condition of the book was less than satifactory.  The response I was given was that I could pay to ship the book back and refund would be issued, but they could not send me another book in better condition.  Awful!  The second time I ordered I had to drop a class.  When I returned the book I had to pay for shipping and was never issued a refund!  I contacted the company.  This time I was pretty much told that I was out of luck.

Unacceptable service, no shipment

I ordered a textbook.  After 1 week the status of the order still said "being processed".  I emailed customer service twice asking when the order would ship.  I never received a response.  I finally called a 1-888 number listed on the Better Business Bureau website only to receive a recording saying that they were closed, and only open Mon - Fri from 9 to 5.  I finally cancelled the order and I hope I don't get charged.........I will not buy from them again.

All together sucky

eCampus is terrible. It's easy to buy and pay for text books, however when it comes to receiving them - that's a whole different story. I ordered my books at least a month in advance. Each book came at different times. Several barely before class started, one was so late that class started and I had to purchase another copy of the book locally. Customer service was a joke, extremely unhelpful and basically didn't give a crap.

Selling books back to ecampus is super simple

I just used eCampus.com to sell back the textbooks I didn't plan to keep for the year. All I had to do was go onto their website and put in the isbn numbers from the books I had purchased and the website told me exactly how much I would be getting back. Awesome! After that all I had to do was ship them the books and I got my refund within the next week. eCampus.com makes it easy to sell back your textbooks. Next semester I plan on looking into their other ways to get textbooks, such as Ebooks, and textbook rentals so I can try and save a little cash.

Convenient, Cheap

I hate buying textbooks, but it is something that I an every other student on the face of the planet has to do. Ecampus.com has helped ease the pain of parting with all my money by providing etextbooks for students to use. I had never even heard of these when I went out shopping for my books this semester and was suprised to see how convenient and cheap they were. I saved almost $100 by going to ECampus.com for my econ and biology etextbook this semester, money I am sure I can put to much better use.

Loved it, sold my old textbooks back and got an instore credit within days.  Used this instore credit to purchase more textbooks for next semester at half the price of the bookstore.  Spoke to customer service, they were right on about the delivery timeframe and were very polite, even their manager who was taking calls due to a high call volume.
Very professional A+

ECampus.com has really helped me out this semester! I went shopping around for my textbooks this semester, and found that ECampus prices were much lower the ones at my college bookstore. I saved almost $20 bucks on my accounting book alone! I recieved the books in a timely manner and was very satisfied with the condition it was in. All around a good experiance and I would definitely recommend them.

Overall, my experiance with ECampus.com has been amazing. I have had a few run ins with this company, and have found each one to be as pleasant as the next. Last fall semester, my sophmore year, I decided to purchase a few of my books from ECampus.com, since it was going to be alot cheaper then my bookstore. I ended up getting both my Biology and my Accounting books for almost $40 less then I wouldve paid by buying it somewhere else. This semester I decided to try out their book rental program, and although I have yet to return them and will do so in December, the Econ and Stats books that I got from them was inbetter then advertised shape and arrived on time. Definitely use them in the future!

I have been buying my books on campus for the last two years, and was suprised when I saw the prices listed on this website. Ecampus was dramatically cheaper then anywhere else I looked and it didnt take to long for the books to arrive. I am very satisfied with my purchase. :)

HORRIBLE Customer Service...BEWARE!!!

I "rented" a book from ecampus over a month ago and chose UPS 2-day delivery.  Well...still waiting!  I called UPS and they did an investigation and confirmed that they delivered it to the correct address...the Ecampus in Lexington, KY, which is where I happen to live as well.  Apparently my book was drop-shipped from another location and the idiots sent it to the warehouse instead of my address.  So, I e-mailed ecampus and of course received NO answer.  Then I called and was told that I had to wait an additional ten days for an investigation.  After the ten days and still not hearing from them, I called again.  Sure enough, they have my book that I paid $78.00 for.  She stated that it would take and additional 2-10 days for me to receive my refund.  Twelve days later...NOTHING!  I'm calling tomorrow and putting an end to this nonsense.  Thanks ecampus for stealing my book and my money.

My experience with ecampus.com is HORRIBLE. If you shop there, do not shop at the marketplace. I ordered my book on August 28, 2009, my credit card was not charged until September 6, and just received my book on September 10. No order confirmation or shipping information was sent out. The book condition is not as described, and can not reach customer service for help. If you call in, they have no customer service for their marketplace and you have to send in an email. So far I have sent in two emails in the last two days and have not received a receipt confirmation and no response.

So I'm a college freshmen and I just bought my textbooks for the first time, I went to amazon and they didn't have two books in stock I needed, one for Precal and the other was for my writing class.

My mom told me to go to ecampus.com and since she was paying for the books, I said what the hell. I was able to get all my books and not only that I RENTED them. Insane man, insane. Who ever heard of renting your textbooks?

Anyway, I only paid like half for them and I got them two days later. Crazy. You should be able to rent everything in life...

I used ecampus.com to buy back 2 of my textbooks. The process to buy back books was very easy to use and I liked the fact they paid for shipping and even gave you a UPS shipping label. I was pleased that it went so smoothly.  However, that's where it ended. They received my books on Feb. 25, 2009, signed by Martinez on deck (according to UPS tracking).  It is now May 7, 2009 and still no check. I checked the status on April 15 and it said the books were accepted and they are in the processing status but no check has been printed.  I emailed customer service on April 15 (frankly I had forgotten all about the books) and I get a reply (from Jayme) that the process normally takes 4-6 weeks. (Well, that time was up as of April 15th.) and because this is a busy buy back time please allow another 2-4 weeks.  Back in Feb/March it shouldn't have been a busy time. I'm very dissatisfied.  I will not recommend ecampus to anyone.  They are just crooks!  They need to be shut down!

Deceitful business practices, poor customer service.

Beware of eCampus.com and their business practices. On Jan. 21, 2009, I submitted two seperate buybacks and those shipments were received at their facility on Jan. 26, 2009. eCampus states that their policy is to pay customers for their buybacks within 4 to 6 weeks. After waiting for my six week period to pass, I called customer service and was told that due to a huge backlog, processing time is now 6 to 8 weeks and to call back after 8 weeks. I have utilized TextbooksRUs.com and Firstclassbooks.com and literally shipped my buyback and received payment within the same week. eCampus is deceitful in their business practices and I would not recommend their services as I am still waiting to receive payment for my two buybacks. The only information you get out of their customer service department via email and the telephone is vague and contains absolutely no information with firm dates. I will NEVER use the services of eCampus again and would suggest no one else subject themselves to the drawn out fiasco that I have been entangle in.

Bad as possible

Horrible company. Ordered my dvds on Feb 8, 2008 and still no record of delivery confirmation. they are a smoothe bunch here. They assigned me a deliv confirm number.. basically a box with postal label. Probably do not have my products to ship. Like all the bad companies , they did manage to charge my cc . Its a hassle and I am working to get a refund. Their standard line is wait 30 days from shipping . Supposedly, they shipped my product Feb 11th , which is a lie. Please do not do business with this company.
