I wouldn't recommend this company. They short shipped me by one memory stick,  and so far, I've contacted them 4 times and still have no resolution: they have not shipped the memory stick nor have they credited my credit card. It has been a very disappointing experience.

"Oh these guys are a real treat!!! I ordered 2 hp touchpads on 8/21 havent heard a word for a month and a half. i politely emailed them 4 days ago asking when i would be getting my order. Of course i haven't received any response at all from them.
I would recommend staying far away from these people on your next purchase. It's easy to fill orders when everything is good and no mistakes are made but stuff happens. I want a company i can rely on to communicate with me and solve the problem. Sadly this is not the company.
I may change my star rating when and if my problem is solved. "

Ordered 3 items on 12/15/2010 to have it shipped overnight costing us over $200. I even had them call the warehouse so they can physically confirm that they have it in stock before giving them the payment info. The item was never shipped out that day. They promise it will be shipped out the very next day and it wasnt. I am still waiting for these item to be shipped out today.  I understand Christmas is around the corner but when we pay over $200 for shipping, I expect it to be shipped right away.

I ordered a Canon iP2600 inkjet printer on Tuesday May 19, 2009 from Cost Central and received it on Thursday May 21, 2009. It was delivered sooner than I expected.  It was packaged very well so the contents would not break. I am completely satisfied with my new printer. I would order from Cost Central again. I got great service, a great price and there were NO shipping charges.

Good Price, Horrible Packaging!

I recently bought Sony Vaio notebook for about $1,200 from these guys.  I was lucky to receive it in one piece.  The manufacturer's box showed up in an open larger box with one sheet of construction paper for padding.  The outer box was large enough to allow the notebook to smash around the inside.  Probably won't purchase from again due to their utter lack of care in the packaging of the products they sell and ship.  Who cares if you get a good price on something if it shows DOA?!?

My pre-purchase questions were answered promptly, and a glitch with my credit card was handed swiftly and professionally. the item arrived the day after the order was finalized! although i was concerned that the packaging looked a little flimsy for a laptop, the computer was in perfect condition and cost $100 less than any competitor.

I needed an SDHC card to go with my new camera. Found an 8gb card at a good price that came with a card reader, as the SDHC format can't be read by regular secure digital readers. Ordered 8gb SDHC card with reader from Cost Central at a good price.   Read full review...

I ordered a notebook computer but they eventually refused my order. The billing and shipping address matched that for my credit card, but my phone number is not listed. They insisted on that as an additional verification. They said they would be willing to accept the order if I would mail them a photocopy of my drivers license and credit card, but that seems like too much personal information to give to an online retailer as well as adding far too much delay for the order.

They take your money and don't deliver

I attempted to place an order for a Netgear WG 302 Wireless Access Point for my boyfriend. There system accepted the payment but 24 hours later Shelly King e-mailed me to tell me that they do not deliver to the UPS store because it is a Freight Forward. I wrote back and explained that I use the address for a secure place to receive all my mail and packages. Shelly King e-mailed back restating their policy and that they would not ship to my UPS Store box. All this AFTER they collected my money which they still have. I have requested a refund and cancelled my order. Don't know what kind of business they run but I have only this problem with Cost Central. No other online vendor nor the U.S. Government every objected to delivery to my UPS box.

my experience with Cost Central was terrible

This company is absolutely terrible. I called 30 minutes before their service closing time on Friday. The service woman kept on putting me on hold for answers to ridiculously simple questions for 5 minutes at a time until one last time for something like the answer to 'can i cancel my order?' She put me on hold....i waited....and waited...and finally just hung up. Called back -- closed. HORRENDOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Impolite, impatient.

Right now my order still has not shipped for a week (their order status page is absolute crap), yet they have already taken my money (2 grand!) wtf.

Do NOT deal with this company unless your willing to take a HUUGE risk with them. i.e. your product running out of stock between the time you order and the week it takes for them to process your order.

My opinion is presently up in the air. I do suggest anyone might want to look elsewhere. I miss ordered and am seeking to exchange for the correct item but am not hopeful. Hidden in my invoice is NO RETURNS. Not at all obvious at time of purchase. My attempts so far to get a response from customer service have been fruitless. Packaging was minimal for memory modules but they arrived safely and on time. Judging by these other comments here I wish I had seen these first. Pricegrabber seemed to rate them highly. Now I wonder. I also thought their postage a bit high. I suggest you avoid them!

ORDERED A WIRELESS ROUTER AFTER PRICE GRABBER GAVE
ME A GOOD PRICE. THEN GOOGLE GOT INVOLVED FOR A
$10.00 OFF.GOT ORDER NUMBERS FROM BOTH OUTFITS.
SUPPOSE TO BE OVERNIGHT SHIPPING. NEVER HEARD FROM
THEM AGAIN. I THINK THEY UNDER PRICED THE MERCHANDISE???
MY CREDIT CARD IS STILL PENDING THE CHARGES.

Ordered an SCSI Drive cage. They said it would ship within 24 hours and 3 days later still hadn't shipped. Said they take 2-3 days to process the order. I cancelled the order instead of working with a company that misrepresents.

Had the product as promised. Bought the new Office Ultimate 2007. Came via Fedex in 3 days, much less than the 7 days the invoice said. I must admit I was a little leery of this merchant, as some of the reviews were a little unfavorable. Maybe constant complainers? I had no problems at all, and would definitely purchase from them again.

Worst experience ever

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS STORE. I ordered a laptop from them last week. Their website said the product is in stock when I placed the order. 3 days later, I got an email from them asking me to call them back regarding my order. The rep. said there was a problem with the availability of the product but the laptop is back in stock now. The rep. said everything would be ok and I will get the product soon. I waited for a tracking number for 5 days. No email from them. I called them again and the rep. said the product is not in the stock since I placed the order. What disappointed me is they already charged my credit card for $1000 while they don't have the product in stock. This is not a professional way of doing business.

Easy to order. Poor shipping method/packaging. Website okay as I linked directly from froogle to the item I needed urgently.

HOWEVER, warehouse "A" shipped my items in an envelope when they should have used a box and the envelope came open while in transit and the shipping company lost the contents and now it will take 6-8 weeks to settle a claim. In the meantime a replacement order was entered, billed, shipped, and received with no problems. Now I'm fighting with my credit card company and CostCentral for a refund of the first shipment and they (CostCentral) won't resolve it until the shipper settles the claim. VERY POOR PACKAGING and POOR customer service for not offering a refund up front for their mistake.

Probably not going to buy from here again.

This is a company that does not know the meaning of the term "customer service." I ordered a print head module for our HP plotter, and was given on order number and expected delivery time of 1-7 days (FedEx ground). 12 days later, still no shipment. When I contacted their call center (I refuse to call them service representatives), I was told the order was on hold because of an improper address with the credit card company. I asked why I was never contacted, and they claimed that they sent me an e-mail. No date or time was known. I checked the server logs (including spam folders) and found no messages from them. I advised a manager of this and requested that he send my product out via next day air. He refused, saying that I would have to pay the additional charge. I promptly cancelled the order. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Probably one of the most irresponsible companies out there. I ordered a product that had to be shipped by a 2 day deadline. they waited a week to tell me that their inventory report was false an that the stock was "phantom" as they call it and so the product never shipped !!! This left me no time to execute any plan B. They did however ship the smaller items, screws, that they had in stock but shipped them, ground??? and still charged a 325.00 fee for the freight??? I had engineers flown in to meet the product on the customer sight only to get there to no job. This cost me thousands. Cost centrals response was totally uncaring and unhelpful. I will make sure that I or my associated companies will never use cost central as a vendor.

I have found Cost Central to be a very customer friendly site. They have recently added "Live Chat", which I feel makes the shopping fun and much more personal. I really think Cost Central has a great selection of products, along with a friendly staff from the time you place your order through timely delivery of your purchases.
I especially like the friendly people in the order processing department.

I called them to just get some info on building a home theater. We ended up not just talking about the projector, but plasma and LCD tvs too. They asked me questions about the room, lighting and a bunch of other things I didn't even think of. They gave me the pro's and con's of each choice and really helped me narrow my choices down to a couple different models. They are just fabulous. I love these guys.

Horrible Experience

I ordered a bunch of hardware from them, and it took 3 weeks to figure out that they couldn't process my order. They charged me for hardware that was never sent out, customer service was horrible to deal with to figure out the problem. After figuring out billing issues they had with my card, they didn't even have the items in stock or available (though they were in stock on the website). Customer Service was rude and not helpful. I would not recommend purchasing from them for any reason.

I bought at the end of December 2004 a Sony 42" Plasma TV (PFM 42V1) at Cost central and they were the cheapest on the web.
It took them 2 weeks to deliver it to my home.
Strange thing is the Plasma TV came from Florida and the TV Stand from Texas of two different companies.
I called there 3 times regarding the delivery date and the friendly person told me every time that it was already shipped. Finally 3 days after my last call it was really shipped and I got the tracking #.
First arrived the TV stand and 2 days later the TV itself.
If you look for a good price and don't want the item real quick, it is the right place to shop.

I ordered 2 items from Cost Central. They charged me for both, but only shipped one of them. When I emailed them twice to find out about the other, more expensive item, I got no response. When I called I was put on hold for twenty minutes. Called back--put on hold for 20 minutes. Called back, they said they didn't have the item. I am still fighting to get my money refunded. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Not a serious company, they act as if they were making you a favor by answering you back... If you are lucky enough of receiving any answer from them. If there is the minimal problem you are for a rough ride, I cannot even imagine how it would work if an item needs to be returned (since they not even care of answering you back)

Buyer beware. This company will lie to make a sale.
I caught them in a lie. I used UPS tracking to check
were my order was, and it was being shipped to them
so they could ship it to me. When I called to order they said they had them in stock . Again not true. I had a bad experience with them. (you can read it in my other letter) I called them and told them I wanted to cancel my order. They said they could not because the item had been shipped to me. I told them UPS showed it still in transit. They lied and said that they had received it and sent it on its way to me. (NOT TRUE) I asked to talk to someone else and finely they fessed up and canceled the order. Buy at your own risk.

... and had heard nothing so I gave them a call. After being yelled at by the lady who said she was "customer service" I was told that the item was back ordered. I then pointed out the qauntity amount when I had clicked on their real time quote was well over a 100 to which she basically said I was lying...

If there was a negative rating for customer service that's where mine would be! Though the price may be low in the end nothing was acomplished and the experience was awful! After placing my order on Aug 23, I NEVER received email confirmation so I called them the next day and they sent a confirmation. 2 more days passed and had heard nothing so I gave them a call. After being yelled at by the lady who said she was "customer service" I was told that the item was back ordered. I then pointed out the qauntity amount when I had clicked on their real time quote was well over a 100 to which she basically said I was lying. I then decided that it was not this type of company that I wanted to see suceed on the internet and promptly cancelled my order. BUYER BEWARE unless you have the time to wait for their back orders, you'd better find another merchant!
