Buy on Ebay - the worst could be fake but you got the product

I've bought Burberry dress for my wife(1200$). Few days later came different color, design with two tags attached Burberry (no price) and Adrianna Papell(price 111.00 on clearance) and Papell was the correct tag. Additionally third Burberry tag WAS SEWN to the dress. My wife called Bloomingdale, sorry no more correct sizes, I have to call because my name was used. I called hour later. Very sorry for mistake but look we have one more correct size (maybe somebody returned) price went down to 850 and because of your trouble additional 10% discount. Fine I ordered new one, send back the strange thing (Burberry Patell). One happy evening less in our life another happy in Bloomingdale. Two days later e-mail order unavailable, canceled. My wife unhappy( different words are coming to my mind) of course me too. Customer service sitting in front of computer was polite but they represent company a lot worse then many questionable online services( I'm talking about unknown small businesses-really bad)
Don't be mistaken by the name Bloomingdale- same company but on line means...........really bad words are coming to my mind.

Wrong item shipped

Bloomingdales shipped me a completely different dress than I ordered-wrong item, wrong size. One rep I spoke to offered me 10% off a future order instead of reordering the correct dress for me. The third time I called back, I was finally able to repurchase the dress I was supposed to get. I sent the wrong item back (using the Bloomingdales return label) within 24 hrs. It's been one week since the dress arrived back to Bloomingdales, and I'm still waiting for someone to start the return process. They last rep I spoke to told me if they cannot locate the dress in the warehouse within another week, they'll offer me some sort of compensation. Um no, I want a refund-UPS shows the time and date the return arrived, but the warehouse can't locate it. Guess I'll have to file with my credit card company to get a refund. Last time I'll ever order from this company.

Their e-gift card system ripped me off for $702.72

Never never never trust this store again. They cancelled my $702.72 e-gift card WITHOUT a reason, or even notifying me until I found it myself. The gift card customer service lied me several times, making up the excuses that they could not return my gift card balance. When they said they could follow up and called me up, they NEVER called me back. Both my husband and I have called them many many times and wasted enormous time and emotion but no progress has been made. This has been months since Bloomingdale ripped me off. STAY AWAY THEM! THEY ARE THIEVES!!! I will certainly BBB them and sue them if they still do not return my money.

Bad Service and Poor Product Quality

Horrible costumer service! Rude people who do not want to help you.

I ordered a handbag from the store, because they did not have it in stock. I received a damaged and possibly used handbag. They offered to give me a $50 gift card, not even me for it! It was a $500 handbag and all they can do is give me 10% back. The quality of product from a high end store is expected to be much better. I have never ordered merchandise and received a used product.

Ordered a bracelet for my daughter the first week in December 2011.  It was a Christmas gift and was supposed to ship Dec. 12th.  On Dec. 12th I received an email saying it would ship on December 19th.  Well, today is the 21st of the month and it still hasn't shipped.  Certainly won't have it in time for Christmas.  Dealing with Customer Service has been a nightmare.  Get the runaround every time I call.  If my daughter didn't still want it, I would cancel my Bloomingdales card and never do business with them again.  I am so upset.

First and last time shopping at Bloomingdales

First and last time I will place an order at bloomingdales. Ordered a Michael kors signature tote in Beige picture shows the tote with soft pink handles or what is also known on macy's.com as vachetta and received beige/ebony/vn which is Vanilla. Getting a live person through the 800 number was a nightmare. There needs to be an option to get someone on the phone. Spoke to Ann on Dec 8th explained to her the site picture is not the same product that is being shipped out she assured me she would reship the correct problem. Waited a week and 1/2 and received the same exact purse. Called and spoke with another representative and she said there was no reason to reship the same purse because it would happen again. Exactly what I tried to explain the first time. I asked to speak to a manager and sat on hold so long I finally hung up. Now it is too late for Christmas and this was a gift. Website pictures are usless, getting through on the phone is like pulling teeth. For a site like bloomingdales and the prices this is shameful.

Never buy from bloomingdales again. I order a Burberry belt, and it was suppose to ship 3weeks after i order it which would be the 17th of nov, because they have to back order it. Now i receieve an email saying that they cannot ship it on the 17th, theres no real shipping date for it. I check my status online and it said "expected ship date: 12/31/9999" 
WTH is this?!

the worst possible experience shopping

The WORST online shopping experience I have ever had.
Ordered an item online, received an email a day or two later saying it was backordered. New shipment date was provided (2 weeks after my online order). Emailed the customer service while waiting for the new shipment. Was told it would be mailed out according to the schedule. Never received the item. Emailed them again and called several times. Spent > 2 hrs on the phone only to be told that the item was not in the warehouse and they did not know when it would be. After arguing with one of the sales manager, I was promised to have the item shipped to me from one of the stores. Never happened, and the manager never followed up with me about this. The second manager said I would receive a gift certificate ?!, which I have not.
After complaining about all of this via the customer service email correspondance, I got nothing.
Terrible, terrible, False advertisement, deceiving and lying customer service and the managers..

I am very disappointed with Bloomindales online.  Their online inventory system sucks!!!  I used a 20% discount for a Burberry coat in which I ordered online on 11/08.  They said the expected shipping date was 11/25.  Then I got an email 1 week before the ship date that it is backorder until 12/13.  Today, I got another email stating that the item is backordered again and the date is not yet confirmed.  But when I looked online for that item, it said it was expected to ship in 10days.
I thought after it was backorder the first time, I would be on the top of the list to have it sent out as soon as shipment came in…..but NO!  THIS IS RIDICULOUS!  So either they are delaying my shipping b/c I got 20% off OR they just suck at their inventory and just selling items they don’t have.  Very disappointed.

horrible service, ordered $400 merchandise items were sent in a plastic bag, unbelievable!!! They do not answer emails, and in addition sent me defective gloves. WILL NEVER ORDER OR PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE EVER AGAIN! Brown bag of you know WHAT!

Buy for people who care about their customers like Saks or NORDSTROM.

My experience was good.  I was very pleased with my purchase and service it was wrapped nicely and I received it timely.  there was a scratch on my bag but I was offered a discount coupon or a sustantial discount.

Mabey they have revammped the on line ordering.

I ordered from Bloomingdales.com twice and both times the orders were wrong.  This last time they sent me a different color than requested on one item then a different size on another.  I quickly ordered the correct size as I did not want to wait for an exchange, and also decided to order both colors since it had been priced lower, well low and behold they sent me the same WRONG sizes.  If I was a medium I would have ordered the medium, why would they not e-mail to confirm a size change, I will never order from them again.  Nordstroms never changes size or colors, plus I can bring returns right to the store.  I have to say they were very helpful at customer service, and the orders did come very quickly.  No more though will I order from them.

Despite the mostly negative reviews, I couldn't resist the deal bloomingdales.com had on the Cuisinart coffee maker I wanted. It was $40 less than most other stores. Bad move.

It shipped right away and was delivered in just a few days - at that point I figured I had beat the odds. One look at the box and I knew I hadnt. The box had a gaping hole in the middle and one of the corners was smashed down about 5 inches. I looked as if it were thrown from about twenty stories up, I'd say. Sure enough, the body of the unit was cracked right down the middle.

Its on its way back now, and I was assured a full refund - let's hope thats the case.

Safe to say that the reviews are overwhelmingly negative for a reason. Don't waste your time and money here, even for what looks like a good deal.

Completely awful in every respect. I ordered 9 items, got a confirmation that with a few of the items on back-order and everything else ready to ship. Received an email a day later that all the items were on back-order. What kind of inventory system is that? What a complete waste of my time.

I placed my order and two days later they cancelled the order stating I did not give an accurate telephone number which was not true not to mention this was my second order using the same profile with an address and phone numbers and that order was not cancelled. I called to reinstate the order and when the order was reinstated they charged me double the price. I am still trying to get my money back. And when you call for help you receive terrible customer service. I had to hang up and call back to speak with someone else because the first rep. was sassy and snapping at me and not apologetic for bloomingdales error.

Bloomingdale's Delivery Awful

I ordered an extremely expensive bedroom set from Bloomingdale's. I was very happy when I called that the set had arrived. However,the delivery date was 2 weeks out. Then, the day of the delivery, no hardware to put the bed together. This means I have no bed, no where to sleep. Also, all of my clothes are in bags and boxes because I had to take them out of my old furniture which I got rid of for the new furniture. Then, the deliver company says that the driver can't get the hardware to me because she needs to correct her paperwork. I told her, "forgive me if I don't care about your paperwork. I don't have a bed to sleep on." I got better service from Levitz. Never again. Thousands of dollars for this aggravation? Don't do it. I'm about to cancel my order and then I don't know what I'll do. Thanks, Bloomingdale's, for doing the one thing you do so poorly.

I will not bore you with every last detail but please know that you are in for a wild ride if you are unhappy with your merchandise from Bloomingdales.com. I ordered a something in one size and was sent two sizes bigger. Even though this error and need for a refund was all on them (of course they didn't have the correct size for exchange and I'm guessing never had it in the first place), it took several weeks for my account to be credited.

Don't waste your time with customer service, their policies are awful and irritated won't even begin to describe how you're feeling after speaking with them.

If you value YOUR money, go elsewhere, go where the catalog and brick and mortar stores are tied so that you, the customer, can experience what you deserve...seamless transactions.

This review is about bloomingdales.com, which the store claims is a completely different company than the brick-and-mortar version of this department store. The customer service department was absolutely no help when I called them, but fortunately all of my orders so far have been correct so I havent had to return anything. Delivery time when I placed my order was weeks away but the item arrived within a few days. I recommend Saks.com anyday over this site as far as keeping you posted on order shipment, expected delivery and tracking information, but the selection is great for Juicy Couture items, which is what I am usually buying. I have noticed that their stock is sometimes so limited that even tho it just showed up online, by the time you get it in your cart and try to check out, the item is no longer available. Yet it shows online again the next day. I think they are up to something odd with their stocking practices.

Terrible online shopping experience. Bloomingdales.com charged my credit card immediately when I placed the order but then failed to send my package for two months. When I called after one month they assured me that the package was on its way. When I called a second time they said that there was a "system error" and that the purchase could not be filled. I asked that my credit card be credited immediately but they said that it could only be done after another 7-10 days passed. No other online merchant I've dealt with charges until a purchase has been shipped. Bloomingdales.com has the worst charging/shipping policy online.

Bloomingdales.com sucks! Extremely limited product, and what I ordered has still not been delivered to me, even though its been six weeks. UPS delivered it to somebody, because it was signed for--bur not by me or any of the doormen in my building.

As a result, UPS is "investigating" the claim, and Bloomies won't ship another of the same item to me until the claim is final. And this was supposed to be a Christmas gift!

When I call Bloomies to check on the status, the customer service people answer the phone, "Macy's dot com". AHA! So that's part of the problem. I'm not getting Bloomie's quality service, I'm getting Macy's-quality service! And then they tell me "it's already been delivered". When it hasn't. Then I get to spend 20 minutes on hold while someone looks for a supervisor.

Just shoot me if I even consider shopping from Bloomingdale's.com again!

Bloomingdales customer service is the absolute worst. I have returned items to the store in my area from an online purchase, and it takes them several months of emails from me before they can issue a credit.

Why are they so inept?

I was actually told to fax a copy of my pink ticket 2 months after I returned the item.

And their shipping prices are too high...I am so sick of their lack of diligence to returns from online purchases.

They need to get it together.

Bloomingdales website allowed me to purchase the jacket and pants of a complete suit. They sent me an email that said that they had shipped the pants to me. A few days later, they sent me another email stating that the jacket was discontinued. So they shipped me that pants without the jacket - the suit was incomplete. So when I received the pants, I ended up having to pay postage to return the pants. I lost money on the postage and ended up not getting anything in return for giving Bloomingdales my business. Bloomingdales isn't the only company that practices these deceptive tactics. Statistics show that most people wouldn't have returned the pants. That's how Bloomingdales and other get rid of their inventory.
