Zales IS and will always be one of the Best Damn Diamond stores in the world. Zales.com, is absolutely the same.

People complain because they are still angry about the whole De Beers thing... but I've been with them for years and they are Amazing. 

My jeweler always gets me the top quality diamonds that I want in perfect settings. I can get H, G, and F color and S1 to VVS1-VVS2 Clarity for reasonable prices!

Customer service is great. Zales & Zales.com go out of their way to please!

Only thing missing are those awesome black & white a diamond is forever commercials they used to run.

Go Zales Go!

Heartbroken.

My 3 children bought me a mothers ring. I got it for christmas of 2011. 6months after i got it, a stone fell out. Had it sent off for weeks. Get it back and the same dam stone falls out. The same year i had 2 rings sent off to be sized. WEEKS AND WEEKS WENT BY. I call to see where my 2 rings were. They both got lost. Yes they gave me a credit to get other rings. But the one ring was my mothers ring who is no longer here. It was her birthstone. The other was a ring my son bought me 15 yrs ago. Very sentimental. So my kids all go together at christmas to get me a mothers ring of my own. And 2 times now the same stone falls out. I'm so hurt over this whole ordeal. Why should i keep sending my ring off , and still same stone keeps falling out. I feel its a defect , but they don't wanna say it is. This is a shame. I already was heart broken over 2 rings, now a 3rd. Shall I say i'm done.

Terrible. Horrible. No Good. Very Bad Place.

My boyfriend ordered an engagement ring on January 15. He did the site to store optionand it shipped on Jan. 18. By Jan!. 25, he had still not received a call that the ring was in thestore/. When he called, he was told that it was, "in the store, but not received yet".. It's not March 1--still nothing after two polite and p*ssed off emails and several phone calls". I have never had a problem with Zales until now". This terrible experience that has delayed the next phase of my life has trumped anything good I ever felt about the store/. Worst customer service ever!. So if you don't want to have engagement dreams dashed and delayed for months--save yourself some tears and buy from some other store". DO NOT SHOP AT ZALES--YOU WILL FEEL NOTHING BUT DISAPPOINTMENT AND HEARTACHE.

I have had a beyond awful experience with Zales. My boyfriend ordered me a size 6 ring for my birthday. It seemed way too big, so we took to a jeweler to get it resized, only to find out that we received a size 8 1/4 ring. After talking to customer service, they said they would pay the jeweler to resize it. After going to the jeweler today, the different customer service lady said that thats not their policy and what they can do is send me a paid shipping label to send it back and receive a new one. For their big mistake, all they can do is send a paid shipping label....and it will take at least up to 2 weeks to receive the correct size ring. My boyfriend and I will never use this store again.

Big, lousy, chain with terrible on-line services

Attempted to purchase a necklace with charms on-line.  Order was cancelled, inexplicably, by Zales TWICE without communcation or follow-up.  Zales tried to blame the credit card that was used, but my credit card company had no record of denying any charges.  Zales ultimately wasn't able to give me a solid answer as to why these charges were never processed.  I will be taking my business elsewhere, do the same!

Nightmare Before Christmas!!  Diamond bracelet I bought for mother for Christmas arrived bent.  Didn't realize until I went to wrap it that clasp didn't match up.  Called Zales.  5 days til Christmas---No time to send back.  Did they have another in a Zales store?  1-800 folks offered no help.  Told me I had to call around to Zales stores to find a replacement.  Called half dozen.  NObody had one.  Called 1-800 number back and asked if I shipped back how long it would take to get another.  Surprise, they didn't have another one.  Guess that explains why they filled my order with the defective piece.  I asked about a store jeweler to repair.  Was told Zales keeps jewelers in the stores during holidays.  Drove to Zales this morning.  NO jeweler.  2nd store happened to have exact same bracelet!!  Just swap them out...right?  Nope.  Manager of the store called Zales.com folks to do the exchange.  Zales.com drone WOULD NOT LET manager swap out bracelets!!  Even though they don't even have a replacement at Zales.com.  Zales.com is not affiliated with Zales stores. DO NOT RELY on ZALES name at ZALES.COM.  In the end, I had to RE-BUY the bracelet in the store---that's right, I've now PAID for it TWICE, and now have to ship back the first bracelet.

I was trying to buy a bridal set around 2400$ then rings had to be sized they asked 35$ extra or it would take 3 week to get them sized. That made me really mad and I left Zales went across the street and bought from competition and they sized it same day at no extra charge. What happened to Zales. Looks like they forgot customer service. 3 weeks for a ring sizing and ask for 35$ This is a highway robbery. I know they had a in store jeweler 2 years ago. I don't understand it neither the people running this company. God help them.

NEVER EVER EVER EVER, I REPEAT, EVER ORDER FROM ZALES.COM. They are utterly incompetent. I had to order the same thing three times and 2 of the orders were suddenly canceled and I have not received the 3rd even though I paid for 2 day shipping. They don't tell you until after the fact that they have a "2-DAY PROCESSING" policy.

They also stated that my item could be found in their stores and the stores tell me it is an online only item.

If you call customer service they will lead you down a labyrinth of press 1 or press 2 and often just hang up on you before you speak to someone. Once you speak to someone they are very rude and unwilling to help you. I do not understand how a website can function this way when so many other sites out there make order very easy.

So, If you need to order online and you are purchasing a time sensitive gift go somewhere else. Zales.com is not the place to order diamonds.

Loan Sharks

My daughter bought her rings at Zales based on my recommendation of using them for several purchases.  She used their credit at "no interest".  She went in to pay off the balance after the wedding and left thinking she had.  Four months later she received a bill with interest and penalties because they did not give her the total pay off and free interest period had expired.  She transferred the entire amount to her own credit card.  She just received a letter from a collection agency that they still owed money on the rings.  Two attempts to pay the bill in full and still no answers as to why they gave her the wrong amounts.

Zales (actually Citibank on Zales behave) refused to talk to her since it had been handed to a debt collector and "disconnected" her twice rather than transfer her to a supervisor.

It does not matter what type of rings you have if you treat your customers in this manner.  It almost appears as a scam.  I thought the mark up in jewelry would have provided enough profit without having to resort to this type of loan sharking.

Fraud Alert - THEY MAY NOT SEND YOUR ORDERED MERCHANDISE

I WILL NEVER AGAIN PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ZALES.COM AND BECAUSE OF MY EXPERIENCE I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER ITEM FROM ZALES.  I ORDERED A SILVER CHAIN WITH A GLASS PENDANT W/ BLACK AND RED COLORS.  IT ALSO COME WITH A CHEAT BLACK ROPE CHAIN.  THEY FAILED TO SEND THE SILVER CHAIN!  I CALLED THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR A WEEK ASKING THEM TO CORRECT THIS SITUATION AS IT IS A GIFT FOR MY WIFE FOR OUR 1ST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY.  AFTER 10 DAYS, THEY SENT ME ANOTHER BLACK ROPE CHAIN AND AGAIN FAILED TO SEND THE SILVER CHAIN!!!  MY WIFE SPECIFICALLY WANTED A SILVER CHAIN.  AND, NOW, I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SPEND LOTS OF TIME FINDING A REPLACEMENT SILVER CHAIN AND PROBABLY MORE MONEY AND I AM SURE THAT ZALES WILL NOT WANT TO PAY.  NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

misleading refund policy

Beware that if you purchase online, but wanted a refund afterwards, you maybe not be able to do that at a retail store as described in Zales.com's refund policy. The associates at the retail store will make excuses for not processing your return.

This was the worst experience I have ever, EVER, had buying online.

I bought an engagement ring and when I received it a stone on the band was missing, when I then brought it into the Zales store they noticed a crack in the diamond solitaire.

I then had to drive to fedex and return the ring and when I spoke with the customer service they said this happens. That was all they said 'this happens sometimes'.

Don't let 'This Happen' to you find another store, we are going someplace else when I get the money back on my card in 30 days!

HORRIBLE

I ordered a 1 ct. diamond circle necklace, and within 1 month of wearing it, only occasionally, it started turning my chest black where the pendant rests, and one of the diamonds already fell out!!!!!!! I called the so-called customer service, and was told that I could only return it within 30 days for a full refund and when I called it had been 33 days since I ordered it! They said I could exchange it for something else, but I doubt it's even real jewelry that they sell. I want my money back, and I will get it or I'll sue Zales for fraud and misrepresentation. I am going to another jeweler to verify it is real, and we'll go from there.

Zales sales some of the lowest quality jewelry in the business at top of the line prices
Avoid being scammed by just avoiding this place
The jewelry is so cheep it has no appreciation value
The diamond I bought was valued at 1/2 the sale price I bought it.

NEVER EVER AGAIN

I would never ever ever shop at zales.com EVER again under any circumstance. I ordered a mothers ring on November 20 for Christmas for my mother. They told me it would arrive by Christmas eve. Here I sit on January 4, and the ring still is not here. I called the company numerous times 1) to change the shipping address since i wouldn't be at my school apartment for a month 2) to see where it actually was, and 3) to finally cancel the order. THe day after I tried to cancel the order, it was shipped out ANDDDDDD to the wrong address. I called zales to have them re-root the package to where I am, and they said there is nothing more they could do for me. STAY AWAY FROM ZALES.COM. They mislead you with information and do not do anything to help or fix your problems. Take your business elsewhere and I can assure you that you'll be much happier with your results.

I ordered 4 items from Zales through a email promotion for One day free shipping on any sized orders . The order arrived very quickly but unfortunately it was short one item. I called customer service and entered the Twilight Zone.

Zales company policy does not allow them to send out the missing item. They have to do an investigation for 7 to 10 days and then get back to you.

I was told I could reorder the item but that would mean I would have to pay the shipping. It was a $30 item and a $6 shipping fee is a pretty high percentage of the value.

When I mentioned I did not think I should have to pay any further shipping on the item because of the promotion. I was told to shop for another $69 of items to get the free shipping by their normal policy. NOT an acceptable answer. I asked to escalate the call and was told the very same thing again. Needless to say Zales online has lost our business.

In over 3 years I have spent $8K at Zales. Christmas of 2006 I purchased a ring for my wife. Understanding it was not her size I bought the warranty as directed to get'free sizing' the Ring was a hit, but then the story starts.
The ring was returned for sizing, when we picked it up it was not round it was elongated. My wife returned it to be corrected and when she went to pick it up it was flat on one side and the workmanship was horrible. 2 months later the replacement is not in. AND policy would not let them refund our money.

Stay away from ZALES they have bad customer service, Horrible workmanship and a bad attitude.

Zales is the worse jewerly store. Their customer service is horrible.

I've had so many problems with my ring. The diamond constantly kept falling out. After returning it to them for repair after repair, I got very annoyed. They finally did replace the one ring (have had problems with my husbands wedding band and my engagement ring as well). Well I just had them cleaned and checked at my Zales in my town - 2 days later the diamond as come out on this newer ring.

Called corporate office, since the employee here refused to help us. Supposely it's my fault the diamonds keep falling out. I must abuse my ring. We were told we should really upgrade! Yeah, Ok spend more $$$ for worthless crap.

I would never buy another piece of crap from them. I've been telling others how horrible thier merchandise is and how terrible the customer service is.

They'll be all nicey to you when you enter their store, as soon as you have one problem, they treat you like crap.

Zales is quite possibly the worst Jewelry Store in the World. They have very low quality Jewelry. My husband bought me a mother's ring from Zales. He had to have is custom made because we have 8 children and it is the Worst piece of Jewelry I own 2 of the emeralds fell out and they tried to make us pay for them to be put back in......Oh yes did i mention is was only my second week of having it.

Never Again!

I thought that ordering from a major online retailer would mean that everything with my order would go well. Boy was I wrong! Nowhere on the site when ordering do they mention that you are REQUIRED to be home and sign for the delivery in person. No exceptions whatsoever. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them and they would not make any exceptions. I had to travel 65 miles to the shippers office to pick up my order. Once I got home and opened the box I found out they shipped me someone elses order. Once the correct order was recieved (and another 65 mile trip made), I inspected the jewelry and found the quality was terrible. The diamonds were VERY cloudy and the earrings look like they were soldered by a 5 year old. I will never by from zales again.
