For me, Great Seller, Don't believe the negative reviews

I read many poor reviews on Wilsons Leather and had great skeptisism about buying anything from them. I found a piece of carry-on luggage that was less than half retail price and couldn't pass up this great bargain. I went into the transaction with negative expectations, but to my suprise, The bag showed up on time and in perfect condition. Like I said, I was leary about Wilsons due to their bad reviews, so I called to confirm the bag was in stock and shipping out. I talk directly to a customer service agent who located my order, and assured me the bag would deliver on time: as it did.
I usually don't write reviews, but they did a great job for me and I thought they should get some credit for Great customer Service. Thanks Wilson's.

Bad and disappointing. Deceptive marketing. Never again.

Ordered four items--3 totes and one purse.  Of the four only ONE was as ordered.  Two totes were FAUX LEATHER.  Real leather items were ordered.  I would never have ordered faux.  The other tote was not the one ordered on the online site.  Bait and switch to say the least.  Called 'Customer Care' to notify them of errors.  THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS.  Drove to their outlet mall store to return their faux craptastic junk.  Same stupid service there.  Now watching my account to see when my return refund credit shows up.  Even tho all items ordered were described as real leather, online rep and store rep swore that the items never came in real leather.  REALLY??  Liars and deceptive marketing.  Never again.  Many years ago I was able to buy beautiful, well-made REAL LEATHER items from Wilsons Leather.  Still occasionally find them at yard/rummage sales.  What happened to this company?  Never again.  Extremely disappointed in Seattle, WA.

Misleading Shipping Methods

Wilsons Online Store says items are shipped via UPS.  However,  UPS delivers packages to your local Post Office for ultimate snail mail delivery.  This logistics method is not disclosed at any time before or during checkout and you are completely led to believe your packages will arrive via UPS. Additionally, the shipping charges by Wilsons Leather are still the same rates as regular UPS Ground Service door to door delivery (I smell a revenue center). Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed my package is in one piece, if it arrives at all. I HATE SNAIL MAIL!!

Long delay (8 days) between order placement/shipment. Incorrect order status in email notification.

Ordered 2 pairs gloves online on 12/01/2010.  8 days later I was informed by email the gloves were out of stock.  I tried to cancel the order by phone and was told the gloves had shipped.

Very poor response time (8 days) from time of placing order to time of shipment.

Very poor communication in that I was notified the gloves were out of stock, yet customer service told me they shipped. 

Very poor customer service automated phone menu.  I suggest you choose "place a new order" to talk to a real person.

wonderful items great prices. poor service. quick to take your money slow to ship. then when i recieved my item it was a cheaper model and  wrong size.they did ship it back at their expense but delayed my new item which was a christmas gift, until they could process my return item and spend another 2 weeks getting the correct item shipped. horrible experience.all could have been avoided if the shipping clerks payed attention to what they are doing.do not recomend, will never shop the online store again.

Horrible experiences with Wilsons Leather (www.wilsonsleather.com)

Ordering problems; online cart problems with website that Wilsons Leather won't acknowledge; rude and seemingly untrained customer service; incorrect online order status information; incorrect shipping status information; backorders that just don't ship; items are shipped the cheapest way for Wilsons, so items take a long time to arrive IF they are shipped!

Customer service is lacking, cheap store that does not refund whole amount.

I purchased a leather jacket from their website. The jacket looked quite different than what the pictures suggested. And so I returned it, the problem I have with this company is that they refund you how much items cost and tax, but not the shipping. On top of that you have to pay for the shipping for sending the item back. So for all those out there, that means 20 dollars + for shipping both ways. I don't recommend them because of this.
