I placed my order on 12/20 (took 15 minutes over the phone) at 3pm and paid $32 for overnight shipping under the promise that it would arrive by Christmas Eve.  I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to see that it was still processing on 12/22.  When I called the rep agreed that it would SHIP ON 12/24 but wouldn't guarantee it's arrival before Christmas.  I told her it was BS that they sold me on LIES and that I've placed orders with companies in Europe on a Friday and had them arrive as early as Saturday or Monday with 2 day shipping.  They should've taken their own 2 day processing policy into account before selling to me and cancelled my order.  Hey Walter Drake, it's not 1942 anymore, speed up your processing or you'll end up like Sears.

I recently ordered a knee pillow for $9.99.  Processing was $1.99 and postage $3.99 for a total of $15.97.  The pillow was horrible so I returned it.  Their return policy states a $7.00 prepaid shipping label and shipping charges not reimbursed.  I took it to the post office and paid $3.53 to send it back.  I am anxious to see what, if anything, I get back money-wise on this $9.99 crummy item.

TERRIBLE experience! I returned a bedspread which was VERY poor quality. They've had it over a week. Claim they refunded me through Paypal and that it's Paypal problem. I've gotten nothing but lies and rudeness from their employees. Had to file a claim with Paypal.

Very bad customer service, do not like to give refunds. I sent some chair covers back on Dec. 27, and they received them Jan. 6, 2011 but as of Jan. 21, 2011 no refund. At first, they lied and said that they had not received them, then after I gave them the tracking number, mysteriously they had them and were going to issue a credit for $59.94. I had only opened one and saw that they would not fit my chairs and boxed them right up and sent them back. I am totally amazed that they are into playing games, and paypal is very slow to help also. I say stay away, if you are not sure on a purchase because they do not like it if you return anything, they claim that it takes so long due to so many returns. The refund may take 3-4 weeks, some company, right? The other things I ordered were fine but then there was no fitting involved.

I have had a good experience with Walter Drake Online Store, especially with personalized items. The personalized items make very nice, memorable gifts and hostess gifts. The personalized pencils and pens and pet tags are very popular with the kids. If you are stationed overseas where such things are very expensive, these will make memorable gifts for your friends and co-workers.

I found ice treads for shoes at Walter Drake site.
They were at a low sale price, even though a lot of Winter left in early February.
Product was exactly as described, received in excellent condition and arrived on time as promised.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from Walter Drake.

I have been receiving the Walter Drake catalog for year and I can only remember purchasing from it a couple of times. The selection just didn't seem to be that great and I wasn't sure about the quality of the items.
