Awful experience..lies upon lies

I ordered an item for 2-day delivery.  On the day it was to be delivered, I checked status and it said "pending".  SO I called and they apologized and refunded shipping and upgraded to 1-day delivery.  That day is today.  I checked status today after it hadn't shown up and it said, amazingly, pending.  I chatted with customer serivce who apologized again that it never shipepd and tried to convince me that he could get me the order on Monday.  Fool me twice, and then I just know they're lying.  Avoide these guys at all costs.  

Worst thing is they didn't tell me it hadn't shipped....I had to check on it.  Awful company.

Discriminatory shipping charge for rural customers

I am a previous customer with a TGW account.  I had an order ready to send and got to shipping in the process and saw that they have a discriminatory shipping charge of $8.99 to rural customers while city dwellers are charged $6.99.  It is not only unfair, but the charge is high enough to discourage orders anyway.  I cancelled the order and do not plan to order again until this policy is changed.


Also, after reading some of the reviews on site, I may order my golf stuff from another site in the future anyway.

Very dissappointed with misrepresentation of a previously returned defective product as new.

I purchased a new Titleist golf bag from TGW. After I had it a week or two I was putting things into some of the pockets and found the UPS shipping label from the prior owner who had returned it as defective, a few of the prior owners debit card recieipts from when they'd used it for a while.

Horrible Experience - Hard to Believe they are in Business

I recieved a gift card from a golf charity event I attented and I must say it has been a curse.
I placed an order on line at TGW.com and 10 days later they sent me an e-mail that the items that I had selected on their website really weren't in stock so they cancelled part of my order.  

I tried using the remainder of the value of the card at Baseball Savings and Soccer Savings (having to pay separate shipping because I could not combine items from their different websites) and the same thing happened.  Items were just cancelled from the order.  Now, nearly a month later they are telling me that my gift card has zero value and I have not received any of the merchandise.  They also can't figure out why my gift card was not credited for the items that they cancelled on their end.  Customer Service is a joke and they actually admitted that their warehouse is a mess and their computer program is hard to understand.  STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN.  IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!

FAIL!!

Well I wish I would have checked reviews on this company before I ordered.  Ordered $1000 worth of merchandise that was supposedly in stock and would ship immediately.   This was for a 50th birthday.  They were to ship the next day to arrive in plenty of time for birthday.   I called the next day to make sure the shipped, they didn't.  They redid the entire order for Next Day Air.   Called back the next day, the order still has not shipped and will probably not ship until next week.   EPIC FAIL!!!  Very disappointed.  Please do not believe what this website states as far as shipping and availability.

Poorly handled transaction with little follow up on order placed and poor customer service

I saw the posts on Facebook and would like someone to acknowledge me. I have called several times each time being told that my order would most likely ship that day.Well 8 days later nothing, no shipment, on all of these "in stock" items.  The part that hurts is I ordered from TGW because you offered 24 hour shipment on in stock items.  My hope was to use these items as gifts but now I have had to scramble and purchase other gift items.  Disappointing since I had hoped to purchase my next set of irons from you as well but am now having 2nd thoughts.
the email system you have setup all sounds nice and dandy but the automated responses leave me hanging by telling me to turn to the FAQ section of the website...?

Not a warehouse - Just a drop shipper. Poor service.

Ordered a pair of FootJoy Contour Casual spikesless golf shoes from them on March 19th.  Contacted customer service twice in a month (once by phone and once by email).  Status on order remained:  

"At Drop Shipper
1 item past due; waiting for an updated shipping date"  

Just called and cancelled the order today after more than a month.  Will not order from them again.  Wish I would have read all the bad reviews here on Epinions before ordering in the first place.

I will never buy anything from them again. I ordered a product over 9 days ago and it still has not shipped from the warehouse. I called in a week ago and was told it would go out either that morning or the following at the latest. 7 days later it still hadnt left the warehouse. I called and was placed on hold for a half an hour without anyone answering the phone and I sent an email four days ago and have yet to hear back. Take your business elsewhere they arent worth the hassle or the locked up money on your card...

Awful, not able to correct their mistake in a timely manner

I have just cancelled my order with TGW for a custom R11S TP Driver.  After four weeks (about normal for this type of order) a driver showed up.  It wasn't what I ordered, it was the RBZ head.  I called twice earlier this week, and twice I was told that they would call me back with details on how to expedite a fix.  They never called.  I recieved auto-notification from their email system that the fixed order would drop ship on March 20th, approx 60 days from the initial order period.  Needless to say I called TGW for a third time today and cancelled my order with them, which they said they would "consider" when customer service gets in on Monday.  I WILL NEVER USE TGW AGAIN.  They blamed Taylor Made, which is probably correct, but not my problem, I was TGW's customer, and they should have followed up with their committment to rectify this situation after my initial notice.

The name of the video is "The Next Generation with Sean Foley" and is distributed by Project 10 Productions Inc. and the web address to avoid is project10.ca.  Without question the worst excuse for a instructional video I have ever seen. And their policy is no returns. So please beware before you buy this is a rip-off. They may get to keep my money , but don’t let them get yours.

Poor Customer Service With Returns

I bought a pair of golf shoes.  The shoes did not fit.  I shipped them back with UPS tracking.  They confirmed that they received the shoes but only gave me a credit for half the purchase price.  I've written email several times and they tell me in email, they will credit the full amount.  The partial credit was an error.  It's a month later and I still have not received the full credit.  I have been a customer for many years but this is the LAST time I will purchase from them.  It's not worth the hassle.  I should have just donated the shoes to the Goodwill.  At this point, it's principle.  I just don't like being ripped off.

Appalling customer service

The so called customer service received from this company is appalling. 

I didn't even get to order anything as their website just hangs (after you've put in all the order information and are trying to check out).

I tried calling their 'customer service' to order but the 'advisor' was so rude and ignorant it was unbelievable.  If she hates her job and customers (that pay her wages) that much she should get out of customer service and try something else.

I ended up not ordering anything and quite frankly am glad I didn't after reading lots of poor reviews on various review sites about them.  I will not give my money to a company that employs such ignorant people.  RE-TRAIN YOUR STAFF.

Unfortunately organizations today during these difficult times still fail to see the importance of honesty, clarity, and good old fashion straight talk within the business environment.  Wow, this organization's purpose and value statement is all about:

How do we get rid of our customers?
How do we irritate our customers?
What can I do to be disrespectful today to my customer?


Simply amazing.

One rule to always remember:

During the good times treat your customers with the best of service and integrity.

During the bad times treat your customers with even greater service and integrity.

Simply put The Golf Warehouse has not even heard or considered either one of these ideas.

All is good for now Warehouse until more of us realize what is the true reality.  Time does heal all.

Terrible nightmare with TGW returning personal funds back

I had a very bad experience with TGW I had a store credit for 600.00 which you have to call your order in to use which I did and I told the sales rep. about it. There was a 9.00 dollar difference from the store credit and I used my visa debit for the transaction. They ended up putting the whole purchase on my card leaving me without enough funds to cover bills so I called to let customer service correct the problem and they told me it would take about a week. I spoke to a manager and he said it would be a priority and taken care of right away. Well 10 days later no money just the run around saying it will take 3- 5 days to show back up in my account. It sure is funny how it takes less than 24 hrs to take it out.  Well Iguess nobody seems to care from TGW that my house payment bounced because of insuffiecint funds.

TGW Unable to Receive in Items Adequately

Ordered two items from TGW.  They arrived in an acceptable time frame, but was not completely satisfied with either item so packaged up and  returned both via UPS, using their on-line return process.

Received notification that they only received and credited one item (even though both items were packaged in the same box).

Called Customer Service and was notified that they would have to "search" their Receiving area.

This rating is based upon TGW ability to receive in returned items properly.

13JAN11: Update.  I called TGW earlier this week.  They informed me that they located the missing item and I should receive the credit within a few business days.  As such, I have revised my rating.

Unfortunate experience due to cost of returning item that did not fit.

No complaints about spped of delivery as it was fairly quick.  My problem is with their return policy, which I probably should have read more carefully.

I ordered an item which did not fit so I had to return the item.  I was forced by their return/exchange process to return the item via their designated shipper.  Unlike other companies that do not charge for return shipping, I was charged for returning the item.  The price to return by their designated shipper was subtracted from the amount of my credit for the return.

It would have been cheaper for me to return the item by another shipping method.

I will probably not order from this company again because basically I was charged $13.98 just for trying on an item which unfortunately did not fit.

Disappointed Customer

Ordered a dozen personalized golf balls back on June 7, 2010 as a Father's Day gift.  A day later I received an email saying the order wouldn't ship until July 1st.  Disappointed, but ok.  It's now 7/9 and I've attemped to check the status of my order several times but it is not updated online.  I have sent an email request twice but haven't yet gotten a reply.  So I just now called customer service and spoke with a nice woman, unfortunately the information she had for me is once again, disappointing.  She tells me the expected ship date isn't until July 19th!!!!  If I'd known that it would take over 7 wks for my order of golf balls to ship, I probably would've reconsidered my order.  I'm guessing once it ships, it will still take another 8-10 bus. days to arrive!  $46 for 12 golf balls and 2 mos to process, ship & receive the order .... isn't acceptable, its ridiculous.

Ordered clubs and more in mid March with anticipated ship date of 4/9.  First part of shipment held up because I had to reconfirm shipping address - and it still took a week to ship those items from stock.  Finally on 4/21 was told by customer service that shipment due from manufacturer 4/23 and would ship right away.  Today - 4/28 the story changes again to more backorders in system than could ship - next shipment due from manufacturer in 2 to 4 weeks.

This company can't get out of their own way - will never purchase from them again.

extremely poor customer service

ordered a set of Callaway X-22 irons which came with a free x-forged wedge.  the irons are great, but after one play the wedge was covered with rust.  TGW refused to replace it, and I am currently waiting to receive a return label to send in for warranty service.  It would seem if a product is defective, it should be replaced, even if played.  They said that's their policy.  It looks like I'll be without a wedge for a couple of weeks.  Extremely poor service.

Be Very Careful!!!

This is the first time I have ever written a bad review for any company, but I feel people need to know how bad TGW's customer service is.  I would not buy anything else from them.  I ordered four things for a total of several hundred dollars and never received one of my items.  I understand that mistakes are made and don't worry when things don't go exactly right, especially with a warehouse system the size of TGW.  I called TGW about an item that I didn't receive and they never resolved the issue.  They gave me a hard time for litterally WEEKS to no resolve and then didn't want to let me cancel the order until I insisted.  I must admit that I got my other items as promised and they were fine, but if you order from them pray that everything comes in one package and as promised because they will give you the run around forever if something goes wrong.

Terrible reps, horrible service

"Customer Service" is the most hilarious and false statement about this company.

The call center reps are the most disrespectful and hateful I have ever encountered.  I have sppoke with multiple reps(and have a list) and each time it the service provided was deplorable.

If you have an issue, need information or need to return something you will be treated with an incredible amount of disrespect.

I personally recommend not using TGW, but if you choose to do so, make sure it is for products that you do not expect to have any issues with(like golf balls).

Good on front end, lousy on the back end. April 1st Ordered some Ping G10 fairway woods 3, 5 and 7. 3 Wood was shipped quickly UPS 2nd Day Air arrived intact. 5 and 7 Woods back ordered 5 Wood shipped on April 30th UPS GROUND not 2nd Day Air. 7 Wood is still backordered and have no visibility on when I might see that. I have started my golf league and do not have all of these clubs yet. I ultimately ordered these to save a few bucks. In hindsight I should have picked these up at a local retailer. When you send email to customer you get no response.

Not too shabby

I have purchased several items from TGW.com over the past year and here is what I have learned. While their prices are pretty good they are not always going to be the lowest out there as their ads imply. Their selection is very impressive and their shipping time frames are ok but not great. Returns are very slow to be processed. It has been almost a month since I returned an item and have yet to receive credit yet.

The thing that irks me the most is that their user reviews are utterly useless. I am not sure who they think they are fooling but they only seem to post reviews with very kind words or ratings of 4 stars or higher. Take a look around the site and you'll see. So if you are going to buy something from TGW do your homework first and get your user reviews elsewhere.

I bought a putter for a present. I realized that I ordered the wrong one. When it came, I took it out of the box, looked at it , repacked it, and shipped it back. Their policy is supposedly if it is returned unused, you get a refund. If it is returned used, you get a store credit.
They told me that I used it and would offer only a store credit. I know that isn't true. I called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was put on hold while she "talked" to a supervisor. She came back and said that there was nothing that she could do. I asked for the next supervisor in line and hit a dead end. I had to leave a voice mail and I never got the courtesy of a return phone call. My business must not be important to them. I'll never buy another product from them.

Great Service

I was extremely leery when I read some of the reviews here. It was after I placed my order. It turned out to be a great experience for me. My order was shipped the same day (Wed) and arrived on Friday without additional charge. Return was extremely easy. A return label is included if you choose to use it, it is only less than $6 to ship it via UPS. I returned one of the items on Monday and received an email confirmation on Thursday informing me they will credit my card within 5-7 business days. I was extremely happy with their prompt service.

Huge selection of golf products with individual fitting

Bought a f-speed 3 wood from TGW.com. Usually I shop for my golf equipments on ebay because they are cheaper. However, I wanted a customized 3 wood that would fit to my swing. Hard to get your clubs fitted through the internet, but TGW does an admirable job of customizing clubs for individuals.

Ended up changing the shaft to the new adila to promote more ball flight. The whole process of club fitting online was a breeze, but it does require you to know a lil bit about golf. Hard to customize over the internet if you are a brand new golfer.

Shipping was extremely fast, TGW.com said it would take about 1 to 2 weeks, but i received the product within a week.

Never had to deal with the customer service since the whole buying process went over smoothly. A very good alternative to ebay if you cant find what you need on ebay.

A very enjoyable purchase

I just bought a complete set of Ram Beginner Clubs and Bag for my wife from TGW through their Amazon Storefront (so I could get free shipping). I ordered the set on a Monday around Noon, they got to UPS by that same Afternoon, and regular ground UPS got them to my house by Wednesday Evening. I had read some negative feedback about TGW on the Amazon site, almost entirely about things not being in stock, poor customer service regarding returns, and things of that nature. But fortunately I didn't have to test that aspect of their store.

Their website is terrific. I especially like the product tours that they have available for many items. But it's best used with a fast internet connection. I view it at work instead of home (with a dialup). I'll buy again from them when I get the chance.

In my opinion, tgw.com is one of the best retail sites on the web, golf or otherwise. The product navigation, as well as the content-rich product tours and descriptions are unparalleled. I've ordered from tgw several times, and have been very happy with the entire experience. The prices are also very competitive, and they always have some closeouts, demos, or returns at a heavy discount if you're a bargain shopper. Highly recommended.

Bad experience- avoid this store like the plague

I ordered online 2 custom titleist irons from TGW last year. I had a golf trip to AZ planned in 6 weeks, so I thought I would be fine (their web site said "allow 2-4 weeks for delivery"). No clubs after 4 weeks, so I called their customer service. I was told "they'll be there in 1 week". 1 week later, no clubs! So I called again, and again they told me "1 week, they were destroyed in a truck crash and are being rebuilt by Titleist". After another week, I called again, and was told "They were destroyed in a train accident, and will be there in a week." Try to get your lies straight, TGW! In the end they were about 4-5 weeks late. I spoke to the manager of the customer service group about getting some sort of store credit, but he was very unhelpful, and only sent them by a faster delivery method, though at that point I didn't care.
