Very disapointing

I placed an order and wrote my friend's old address as the delivery address. When my friend told me the address was incorrect I quickly called their customer service to make the changes. This was approximately 45 minutes after placing the order. According to their policy changes cannot be made after 30 minutes. How is it possible that in 24 hrs there is nothing they cannot do to help you if you don't call within 30 mins. The person over the phone told me that he would place a request to cancel the order. I asked him how would I know the outcome of that request, he said it will be emailed to you. I was never contacted and the package was delivered. I lost my money. I called a few days later and found out that the package was delivered. The preson said that I could have called the carrier to ask them to change the address. I didn't obviously think of that myslef since this has never happened to me before. The first person to help me when I called 45 mins later could have told me that this was an option.

Awful customer service. I ordered some stuff online - received 2 products in the wrong size and 1 which stated 100% cotton online but was in reality a mix of synthetic fabrics and cotton on the label. One dress with the wrong size was not even reflected on the receipt or on their system so I could not return it.
Called customer service and the person could barely understand what I was saying. Will never order online from Target again. |

I placed an order online for multiple items. However, only 2 of the items shipped the next day (in which I am still waiting to receive). Then, 4 days later, I received an E-mail from Target saying that the other items have been delayed and it will take almost 2 weeks for the items to be shipped. All in all, it will be 3 weeks. I contacted customer service, to cancel the rest of my order because of the long shipment time. The Customer service agent stated that he could not cancel the order because once the order is placed, you have 30 minutes to cancel it and if not, then the order is locked into their system. I asked why was it taking so long for the items to be shipped? The Customer Service agent came back on the phone and gave some bull story about there are lots of reasons, that it could be weather, etc.
This is a warning to everyone...DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TARGET.COM... or you will get screwed. I'm still waiting for my order. |

DONT use your paypal to make a purchase at Target.com! Should you need to return something or SHOULD THEY SEND YOU AN ITEM YOU DIDNT ORDER and not the item you ordered they still keep your money! All they will offer you in return is a Target gift card. They will not simply credit your card or paypal account back like ANY OTHER COMPANY would! I will NEVER purchase from target.com again! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Waited on hold for customer service for over 6 minutes and then again for another 10 to speak with a "supervisor" who explained they are working on the issue apparently (not sure I believe her) and that there is a disclaimer which was not there when I purchased through paypal. On top of that their packing slip says nothing of this nature but gives a "our promise to you" statement which describes more convenient ways of returning...not quite convenient at all! Waste of over an hour of my time dealing with this crap! They couldnt pay me at this point to shop online at TARGET.COM!!!

I ordered a gift card for someone but had it sent to the wrong email address - my mistake. However, I found it almost impossible to find a way to deal with customer service to correct the problem. Target makes it very easy to order, butvery difficult to contact them to change the order after the fact. In my opinon this sort of thing should be easy and seamless in today's world!
Once I finally got in contact it took about 20 minutes dealing with someone very difficult to understand to get things straightened out. I think I've learned my lesson with Target until they get a lot more user friendly! |

I will never order from Target.com again. I was notified this morning - the day of expedited delivery I requested and paid for - that my order was delayed until next week. When I called to cancel the order, because I need the item today and now have to make time to get to a store anyway, I was told that the online system can only cancel an order 30 minutes after placement, nor can Target guarantee that the expedited shipping - which no longer applies - will be credited to my account. So, to recap: no order, no cancellation, no refund guarantee. I will stick with Amazon.com in the future.

I purchased a computer desk for my business from Target.com. In putting it together, I discovered that it was damaged. I called customer service and was told to take it back to a store and I would get a refund. It was partially put together and I had to get help to get it into the store. The transaction seemed to go well until I was told that, because I used Paypal to pay for my purchase, I would only get a gift card... not a refund. There was no disclaimer on the Target.com website to inform customers of this issue. I have made quite a few online purchases using Paypal and have also returned some of these purchases and have NEVER experienced this. Customers need to be informed if they cannot get a refund when using Paypal at Target.com.

I order an item and seleceted "premium" shipping (quite costly) so that I would have it before I went on vacation. One hour after I placed the order, I received a message stating that the shipping date had change and the item would be delivered while I was away. I tried to cancel but Customer Service said I only had 30 minutes to do so, even though I was not informed of the change in shipping for over an hour! Only way to cancel after 30 minutes is to refuse shipment; however, I won't be here when the product is delivered. Do not shop at Target online! I buy almost everything online and I have never dealt with a less customer-friendly site!!!!! Also, this caused me to search for the same item elsewhere and I found it on Amazon for $25 less plus free shipping.

target sucks.. ordered a potable grill it never arrived. called cs sat on the phone finally found it was damaged and sent back to target indiana. had to call 2 times again had to wait for it to arrive in indiana. then because i paid paypal i can only get a gift card for $100. now have to wait 7-10 days to receive that in the mail.. ordered on the 10th its already the 19th. no item no money. will never use them again! and everyone shpuld be aware how target online works.. do not buy from them

I was sent the wrong merchandise that was ordered online. They expect me to pack up this heavy package (I can't lift it) and drive it to a UPS center. I do not have a UPS Center in my town and I feel that they should pick the package up. If I wanted to drive around, I would've gone to the store that was the reason for online shopping. I shouldn't have to use my gas to take care of their problem. I will never give Target another dime. They have lost a customer.

Target.com is appalling! I was warned not to create a wedding registry but went against the advice of friends...lesson learned. A gift was sent and was supposed to have 2 items, well 1 item was missing. I called and after two hours on the phone I learned the only solution is to re-order the item, re-pay for shipping and tax, oh and wait 5 days to receive my electronic refund. I was also hung up on and never called back after speaking with one phone rep for 30 minutes. I will NEVER shop or register with Target.com again. This experience was HORRID!

VERY unsatisfactory experience with Target.com. Tried twice yest. to place an order online; website just said "Let's try this again." When I called the customer service dept. on the phone, I was told that the site was updating and I should try again in a couple of hours. I tried again today and got the same message, so I called the customer service dept. so they could complete my order. (When I told the rep I'd had trouble with the website, he advised me to try Chrome or Firefox -- the very browsers I'd been using). I had to give my credit card number twice, as I was not given the opportunity to include a gift message the first time and the order had to be edited. A website is supposed to be a streamlined experience, superior to phone ordering. All it did for me was add to frustration by making me repeat the ordering info and taking up more of my time. No real explanation or consideration for my unsatisfactory experience was offered.

Placed a 2 item order on Dec 1 st. Received an email today (dec17) that one item is cancelled and the 2nd won't be delivered until Jan10th! Called customer service and was told their system was updating and to please call back in 30 minutes (its currently 12:30 am)!!!!
For a large established company they certainly don't have their act together for online ordering. The kicker is that the price dropped on each item by $50 two days after I ordered. I sent two separate emails on the price change and received no response to either. I expected better from Target. They shouldn't have an online site that appears professional and well managed when that is definitely not the case. The website says that any changes to the order will be communicated with details on the change via email. The email sent to me only stated that one item was cancelled. I don't know why as that definitely wasn't communicated in the email nor online in the order info when I looked it up. I will never order from them again! |

DON'T BUY FROM TARGET.COM--I bought a GPS on cyber Monday. It was to be shipped UPS. UPS for some unknown reason delivered it to the local post office. I have recieved several other packages from UPS directly at my residence. The local post office cannot find it and advised me that when a shipnment is recieved from UPS it is signed for in bulk and therefor hard to track. Through 5 hours of investigation and phone calls to UPS, the local post office and Target called Target.com customer service. I spoke to the 3 supervisors to suposedly get to the lead supervisor. Being that they no longer had the GPS I ordered in stock, she offered me a full refund or a mere 10% discount on the newer model. This newer model was 3 times the price and was not on sale. After explaining to her how much time and effort I had spent and that her offer was not acceptable to me she got very rude. VERY DISSAPOINTING SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

They would not credit my charge card BACK THE FULL AMOUN. Instead, sent me a ecard for tax and shipping. I have to print this off and take it to a store over 50 miles away ,then see a store clerk for a gift card. It was only $7. I was on the phone over and hour to get this. Here is what just happenned: I saw this camera on the website for $99.99 and it was available in the store fayetville syracuse. I went to the store and ask for the camera. They told me that store price is $199.99 and they dont want to match the price. Then I called costumer service and explained that it has different store price and he made me wait for a couple of minute and turned back me and told that it is 199.99 online price. In few minutes he raised the online price from 99.99 to 199.99 and lied to me. This was not I expected from such a big chain store.

Target.com website: SERIOUSLY broken shopping experience. Website is a disaster. Order summary showed 2 items shipping to 0 addresses. Called Customer Service to review order. Entire order was re-entered by CS rep. Order was never transmitted to the order fullfillment. Called a week later when I didn't get a shipping status email. First told order was in process. Insisted on escalating call. Next person told me order wasn't sent to fullfillment. Finally shipped. Website Customer Service is probably the same place that "Peggy" (from the banking commercial) works. Finally received the items and had to return (at regular Target store) and could only get a Target gift card for a refund. Finally got the corporate number for Target in Minneapolis and spoke to someone who understands and speaks English, and who was quite apologetic about the Target.com shopping experience, but unable to resolve my issue to my satisfaction. WORD TO THE WISE: DO NOT do any shopping on Target.com. The folks at the brick and mortar stores are great...shop there. And do you your friends a favor and re-post this anywhere and everywhere you can (Facebook, other blogs, etc)...save them the time, headache and money.

hassling with them - they keep spinning me around and the wait is ridiculous. I finally got something when I threaten to contact BBB and hung up on them. Their brick and mortar stores are fine. I never hassled with return with them, so I can't say anything. I buy cheap stuffs at their stores and just don't expect to return anything - not worth the hassle. Just avoid buying online.
