PowerBook Medic will not restore error

I ordered a MacBook Pro LVDS Display Cable, quoted "NOT part 593-0766 B", mailed them a productnumer of the screen and three pictures, asked them three times what part# to order, but **** cannot read or wants to check: indeed the wrong part.
Another quote from their site: "We pride ourselves in excellent customer service". But of course it's not their fault... So: a restocking fee (!) and shipping costs higher than the value of the cable. |

DO NOT purchase a DualDrive from Powerbook Medic if you own a unibody Macbook Pro and intend on adding a second hard drive - I wouldn't even give them ONE star if I didn't have to! Customer service & tech support are a JOKE - they played ping-pong

Ipod touch glass and battery replacement w/overnight $25 shipping took 7 weeks to fix an return. Zero communication (Internet updates and e-mail response) on their part. They tried to make it right and did apologize. The non Apple battery works as well as the 5 year old Apple battery they replaced (if they replaced). DO NOT BUY THE BATTERY. Must charge every day even with no activity compared to 3-4 days OEM battery. On a positive note you can talk to people when you call and they seem to care.

I sent a Ipad with broken glass to these guys. I had not read reviews. I am glad I had not read reviews. because the service was excellent.
The turn around time was 6 business days. UPS had it 4 days and Powerbookmedic.com had it two. You can't do better than that. The price was quite competitive, and, if compared to Apple, DIRT CHEAP! The repair was perfect. I am quite surprised to find such negative reviews from others.. Assuming the other reviews are legitimate, Powerbookmedic.com has certainly improved.. I rate them an A+ |

Service turnaround is BAD

They took care of reparis for me, but the their turnaround time was 3 weeks for a pretty simple fix. I had them replace the trackpad on my Macbook.
I am VERY unhappy with their service. It took them a week to diagnose the problem, and a week to fix it. they told me that they would get me a diagnosis in 2 to 3 days, and it took a week. That is not acceptable. Much longer than I was expecting. And they didnt offer a discount when I called to complain. I feel that they should have given a discount on the service. since it took them so long to do the work. I am not going back to them and do not recommend them to anyone else. |
