Bad, bad experience.
The unlocked phone does not function as they claimed. I recently purchased an unlocked cell phone from Newegg. After 2 weeks' usage in overseas trip, the phone gets locked again. Newegg customer service can not fix the problem. I reported the problem to Newegg after I return from overseas trip. They directed me to manufacturer's help number, the original carrier's help number and dealer. But none of them can fix the problem. Newegg customer service refuses to replace or refund the product. Since I was traveling overseas, I could not call Newegg's 800 number to report the problem even the problem occured within 30 days after purchase. After I return, I called them. But they said that it is 45 days so they can not return the product. If Newegg can not stand by the product it sells, why does it sell the product and why shall we purchase the product? |

Bought a software in Dec 12, came scratched and I was unable to installed. Followed their RMA and shipped the software back for a full refund as I picked another one locally. They refused to refund me and refused to send a replacement stating the product was out of warranty! I had the software for 2 days! This is bad service, they dont stand by their merchandise and I feel that they stole my money. I will never buy from them again. To top it off, they closed my account because I filed a dispute with my credit card, total intimidation of their customers.

"I sent a defective defective board back to Newegg but they rejected my RMA because I had had removed the UPC tag in order to fulfill the Rebate requirement. They said I should talk to the manufacturer to see if they could help.
They shipped it back to me but inside the perfect shipping box the mother board was smashed and it wasn't even in it's antistatic bag. I called customer service with proof that the damage was done on their watch and I was promised an answer the next business day. Two days later I call again and was told they have no record of me calling them. This time they say they rejected the RMA because the board was smashed. I explained that I have proof the damage happened on their watch and once again the customer service rep said they would email with an answer. I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling about this. After all these years as a loyal customer I would hate to end our business relationship like this. |

Newegg used to be THE place to go for computer parts. They also had the lowest prices and shipping was unbelievably fast. Lately they've really gone downhill. Apparently they want to punish customers for choosing free shipping, because their shipping times are atrocious. I recently ordered parts from a couple of different websites in order to build a new PC. The parts from Newegg took 2-3 days longer to arrive than from any other business. In addition, the memory stick I ordered from Newegg was faulty. They sent a replacement which was ALSO faulty and I had to send it all the way across the country to their returns center. In total, it took almost 3 weeks to finally get a working stick of memory.
Also, I made some purchases on Black Friday of this year and once again Newegg was the slowest shipper by far. My Newegg order took almost 2 weeks to arrive, despite shipping from a state that borders mine. Ridiculous. I no longer recommend Newegg to friends and coworkers, and will be making future purchases from superior sites like Tiger Direct and Amazon. Sorry Newegg, but you lost a long-time customer in your quest for profit. |

Used to buy quite a bit from newegg, both personally and for business. My last experience has changed that. They sell 3rd party items but won't stand behind what they sell. Once you click the buy button newegg washes their hands of you and any responsibility in the transaction. You can't even cancel the order through newegg. I refuse to do business with them in the future.

I purchased a highly rated (Consumer Reports #1 reccommendation) laptop from Newegg. It did not work correctly from the moment I turned it on - I even had to reformat the HD the first day I purchased it. They said it just needed repair, 2 service warranties and 3 HD reformats later (leaving me without a computer 3 out of the 7 weeks I owned it), I determined I had received a lemon computer. However, Newegg refused to work with me and would not accept the item for return even with all the documented difficulties I had with the computer. I ended up filing a grievance with my credit card company and the dispute investigation was awarded in my favor. I will never purchase anything from Newegg again. If the product had worked, it may have been fine, but their customer service policies were miserable.

I have been using Newegg for over 5 -7 years now and the items I received always worked. Last time I purchased the MB and it did not boot up on arrival. I shipped it back for replacement... They established that PCIe clip is missing on the MB and they are not going to replace it because they do not have all the parts now.
I am like, take the new MB, keep the clip and ship me the rest. I am not planning on using PCI slot on the MB. I am extremely dissapointed. All that positive Newegg image is a fake. The 18 awards stood for nothing, when it came to replacing a faulty $50 item! Buy at your own risk. If you receive a non-working item, it is likely to be your loss. |

Delivery speed: fine.
Order accuracy: fine. Customer service: minus 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 Overall satisfaction: minus 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 Item was received defective. Newegg.com refused to replace, and wanted to charge a 15% restocking fee *for a defective item*. I talked to at least a half dozen reps over the course of 3 hours, all but one of whom was not worth the air space s/he occupied. They made me call the manufacturer and get a return authorization from HP before they would even talk to me, and then they wouldn't ship a replacement: they wanted me to trust them and place a second order, or they would treat it as a return with a 15% restocking fee. Do not, ever, order from Newegg.com, because maybe if there are no problems you'll be fine -- but if there are problems, their customer service is by far the worst of the dozens of vendors with which I've done business. Use ProVantage -- they charge a bit more for shipping, but I have had no problems in 8 years of dealing with them. |

I never had a problem ordering electronics from newegg in the past until recently. I bought a laptop awhile back with no issues but I recently tried to purchase another laptop and the customer service was terrible so I cancelled the order. It's obvious Customer service is definetly becoming an issue with this company. I will never pruchase anything from them again.

Received a defective laptop PC. Manufacturer (Acer) said to ship it to them for repair. I contacted Newegg (a difficult process in itself) and requested an RMA. After a LOT of arm twisting they finally agreed to allow me to return the defective product even though it was only 1 day old. Promised to refund the shipping charges, but then didn't do so. IN A NUTSHELL, THIS COMPANY IS MORE TROUBLE THAN IT'S WORTH. I can get their products locally for the same price, so why would I buy from them again? |

I placed an order on Tuesday that they split into two because of different shipping, one order was not eligible for shoprunner 2 day shipping and was subject to normal 3 day shipping, no big deal. The first split order was verified and shipped all with in a day. I recieved the item with the 3 day shipping on Friday. The other part of the order wasn't verified until Friday (after repeated calls and e-mails to see what was going on, as they said it should only take 48hrs max) and then only began it's shipping late late Friday. Customer service was also no help. Don't even try to contact them via chat or e-mail, you will only get very impersonal canned responses with no true concern about taking care of your issues. So my items with 2 day air shipping will not get in until Tuesday. A full week after I have placed the order. I used to be a Newegg fan but this is so backwards.
Update: I forgot to order a power supply for the computer i'm building. Today is Saturday and I just orderedit from Amazon. Funny, i'll be receiving this item on Tuesday as well. |

I paid extra $12.95 for expedited 2-day delivery for a Hard drive. Today is the 4th business day and I still have not received it.
Their customer service said that all orders are subject to a 1-2 day order processing, PLUS shipping time - they pointed me to a fine printed link at the very bottom of a page. So I paid extra to have 4-day delivery! Absolutely unethical business practice. 2-day delivery means 2-days, not 4! |

I ordered a barebones kit from newegg.com and it arrived very quickly. I set it up, easy install, but it did not turn on at all. So after a few hours of trying different things, I came to the conclusion that the motherboard was DOA. So I sent it back, and 1 week later I got a new motherboard. I set it up once again, and with different symptoms, and now with help from a new tech buddy of mine, we came to the conclusion that it was another DOA motherboard. So.. We sent the motherboard back for a replacement. It's now been over a month without a PC, and Newegg.com has come to the conclusion that there was a bend on the CPU holding pin, and now I cannot get a new motherboard, or a refund.
This is why I am writing this review. The shipping is great, but I had awful service from them. |
