Communication is a little shortcoming....

Communication is a little shortcoming. Would have liked a little more communication between the seller and the purchaser, such as a confirmation, followed with a your order has been received and you will be notified when it will be delivered. Your delivery list of items ordered leaves a lot to be desired. Overall experience was pretty good. I would definitely shop with you again, and would recommend you to others.

One of five units was repackaged,...

One of five units was repackaged, another requires repair. Another package contained a Track End Cap which was over priced and wrong. There was no invoice or packing slip included in this shipment. I'm very unhappy with the service and pricing, also the phone operator and sales. As to question number 7, the real answer is maybe. Frederick Hansen, NYU.

My expectations were meet. The order was sent in 2 shipment from 2 suppliers. The first one was here within a week and the other one came in within the time they said it would. It was a good experience and I will deal with them again in the future.

Nightmare

Nightmare....
Terrible customer service, just try and return something you have purchased from them.  They wanted a picture of the item, before they would take it back (are you kidding me).  Customer does not know the prodcedure for returns and it not willing to help at all!!!  Save yourself a headache and DO NOT BUY from them.  Use a larger organization/company that is used to dealing with purchases and returns.  They are very lax with their treatment of customers.

I WOULD NEVER DEAL WITH THIS STORE AGAIN. THEY CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD MULTIPLE TIMES OR THE WRONG AMOUNT AND WILL NOT ISSUE A FULL CREDIT.  THEY ALSO PROVIDED THE WRONG ADVICE ABOUT LUTRON GANG PLATES.

Frustrating and Time Consuming

Unless you have unlimited free time to follow up on your order don't place an internet order with this company. They claim to send confirmation e-mails but they don't. I have given them multiple e-mail addresses to try and the e-mails never come through. You're lucky if you get a live person on the phone. I went so far as to leave a message for their CEO with my order # thinking he might be able to get customer service to call me back but that didn't happen. I'm surprised that in a tenuous economy companies have not realized the value of exceptional customer service. I'm in the middle of a large project but I won't be ordering anything else I need from this company due to their lack of follow-up and my limited free time for hounding them.

This place has terrible service! It took ten days for them to notify me that they couldn't fulfill my order. When I called to inquire what had happened, I was placed on hold by three different agents who couldn't answer any of my questions. I think I spent a total of forty five minutes on hold. To top it off, when I wanted to cancel the rest of my order (I had ordered 2 matching pieces, one of which they couldn't fulfill), they told me I would have to pay a 25% restocking fee! They told me I should be happy that the managers granted this since the fee is normally 50% (ooh – lucky me). That’s insane! Why should I pay for their mistake? Now I’m stuck with two pendant lights and no matching chandelier. It's worth your time to shop elsewhere!

The worst service I have ever had. I placed my order 3 weeks ago. Till now I have not received my order.
I gave them a call and their manager told me that  the product was backordered . They don't even bother to notify  a customer that product is not available or backordered and customer has to wait one month...They take your money and don't want to hear from you any more.  The worst service available.

This merchant sold items that were not in stock from the manufacturer even though their website said hundreds were available. Not only that, they charged my account without verifying it. I had to call to see why my lamps hadn't shipped only to have them call the mfr to discover the lamps wouldn't be in stock til mid April. They have no idea whether items they are selling are actually available. Ridiculous!

Horrible Customer Service!! Avoid Them!

This has got to be one of the worst expierences I have had when ordering an item online.  I bought a light fixture and when it came in the colors were very different than what was shown/described on Lighting By Gregory's website.  Sanya Roman in customer service was rude and abrupt and is charging me a 25% restocking fee even though it is their fault for not showing the true color of the light fixture on thier website.  I am in customer service too and there is no way I would ever treat a customer as horribly as Sonya has treated me.  When I calmy told Sonya that she is not doing the right thing by charging a restocking fee she hung up the phone on me.  They lost a customer for life.  If you want to purchase from a reputable company avoid Lighting By Gregory at all costs.  I wish I read the reviews out there before I got ripped off.  :-(

I love their website for its ease of use; love the variety & quality of products they carry. But, finding out the status of my order was like falling into a black hole. It was inexplicably difficult to simply find out when the order had been processed, when it was expected to ship & when I might receive it. I'm still waiting for it to arrive after many weeks of having no idea where my order was in the process of being fulfilled. Finally got that info after contacting the company, leaving an email, getting a call back & then getting an email with the answer! Ridiculously frustrating! Tracking an order is a very simple process from every other website I use to make purchases. It should never be the multi-step, baffling process that this company puts its customers thru.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.  I wish I read the reviews before I purchased my Tommy Bahama ceiling fans.  When I purchased them back in May, I was led to believe that all the components (there are 6 different pieces that make up one fixture) where all in stock.  Well, nope.  I still have not received my paddle blades and they keep insisting that I received one of the wall transmitters weeks ago - which I haven't.  They have THE WORST customer service department I have ever dealt with.  I've explained my situation 10 different ways to 10 different service reps and still, i'm going in circles!  I've tried emails and even calling directly -- and every time, it rings and rings and then goes into voicemail!  The part that is really annoying is that I was charged and paid in full the entire order (over $1200)!!  and still my fan components are sitting in a box in the closet because I'm still missing pieces!

The prices look good, but the customer service is horrible and they don’t have the inventory. Site said item would ship in days… took over a month. No tracking information ever provided and no email link. Have trouble? Fill in a form and they will send you a one line reply by email, but its from a “no-reply” email address.
This may be the worst web retailer ever.

My credit card was charged for the  order immediately but it took them 8 weeks to ship it. When I finally received it, the item was not as described on the website. I called and was told that there are no returns for orders under $50. A fact never mentioned when I placed my order. Emails and letters sent to them have gone unanswered, including a letter to the President of the company. HORRIBLE experience.

LBG has the WORST customer service EVER!  I called the Sales department to inquire about a ceiling fan to ensure that it could be installed with a vaulted ceiling.  Sales ensured me that the fan I chose would work.  Well, it didn't.  So, if you want to return an item, then there's a 25% restocking fee to return it.  We decided to keep the fan and purchased a new fan. . .that was five weeks ago.  Calling Customer Service is useless.  They'll put you on hold for ten minutes at a time and then apologize that the order is back-ordered.  Well, wouldn't it be nice to provide timely updates rather than have the customer call repeatedly to determine the status?!?!?  I cancelled the order and we'll see how long it takes for a refund.  Can't comment on the order accuracy, but overall satisfaction is extremely negative.  Customer service is not a phrase in LBG's business practice.

LBG doesn't not offer on-line tracking of order. You call them, they check the order status with the vendor and send an e-mail with update. To date I have not received my lighting, which was ordered on December 9 and was expected to have shipped in 3-5 days. Then I was told it would ship the week of December 14, now I'm told January 3 (which is a Sunday?). I'm trying to be patient because it is the holiday season and shipping can be a problem.

BEWARE!

I would NOT recommend LBG at all!  I found 2 sconces I liked and saw that I could get free shipping on $50 orders. so instead of paying $15 shipping I ordered a couple of under-the-cabinet lighting (which I didn't 'need' as much as the sconces but thought they would be nice) to bring the order up to the $50 free shipping mark.  I got an email saying the sconces have been discontinued.  I called to see if I could get different sconces and THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPLACE THEM WITH OTHER SCONCES without placing a new order and making me pay for shipping.  When I asked to speak to the manager the lady said, "I'm the manager and director and there is no one else to talk to and you have no recourse".  I couldn't believe it.  So I tried to cancel the under-the-cabinet lighting but they said those had already been shipped and I couldn't return them because they were a sale item.  Ridiculous!
